LJN's gaming department were bought by Acclaim and then got independant again as THQ, that THANK GOD bankrupted. Ironically, they bankrupted weeks or even days before launching a great videogame title, South Park: The Stick of Truth, that Ubisoft got the publishing license after that.

I would love to see the programers of those games reactions to these videos.
Those programmers were outsourced actually for LJN, and nobody even knows who they were. LJN actually never made any of its games. It was just a way for Acclaim to produce more games per year to get around quality assurance controls.
I think that female robt that says that the humans all must die that made these kind of games, like an torture for us, and that's how she will destroy humanity, LOL...
Are Acclaim and LGN the same thing? Because I always conflated the two. They both had rainbows and I detested both of their games.
@@ShinSeikiEvan they weren't always the same company. When LJN closed it's toy division in 1989 or 1990, Acclaim bought them out.
Most of these games were made by teams of between 1-4 people, overworked and underpaid. I'm sure they're all well aware of how shitty they are.

I'm actually impressed the entire last scene was done in one take without stumbling over any lines. I put it right up there with Chevy Chase's Colossal Insult in "Christmas Vacation".
Fun fact: In Christmas vacation during his boss rant the "family" he was yelling toward wore necklace placards each with 2 insults that's why he looks to each family member while yelling. He randomly put all the insults together

The funniest thing is that Bill and Ted for NES is the worst LJN game on NES, but Bill and Ted for Gameboy is the best LJN game on Gameboy. I know that's really not saying much, but it's still interesting to think about.

I haven't played this game since 1992, yet the sound effects and music still haunt me to this day.
The time rebels cartoon bit always kills me. Hilarious! Seriously though, why add that bit to the plot?? Like the movies plot alone wasn't crazy and rediculous enough to build a game around on its own? Then to never reference it again almost sounds like the developers were trolling anyone who played the game.
kind of like in the Little Mermaid game they had to invent an alternate plot about Ursula hypnotizing all the creatures in the sea to do her bidding to explain why Ariel has to go beat them up
