I hate to be the bearer of bad news but both sets of Northtown 75s are now relocated so finding them on the Lakes is going to be even harder now unless BNSF starts using them on the Grand Forks to Superior more (GFD has a couple sets)
I may or may not have saw two different SP units leading in a months worth of time and I have seen CSX7765 on UP which is in storage. I also saw UP6706 leading
Some of my best catches of 2023 include CSX 1973, AMTK 130, 46, and 108, CSX Standard Cab Dash-8, foreign power, welded rail cars, and an Amtrak Qualification train
For number 6, kinda surprising that CN’s Wisconsin Central heritage unit is running on the Hinckley sub. That should be on the CN Superior sub over here in Wisconsin
I missed a ballast train with NS 8103 then a manifest with NS 1111 and an D&H Alco RS3. But at least I've seen a Alco PA1 before and two standard cab dash 8s
Trying to find some time to return to the mainline. Otherwise looks like my catches are gonna be on the branch. Local fans do prefer 'fanning the branch yet I miss the mainline at times.

#6 was very colorful! Have you been to Grandad bluff in La Cross, WI? It’s arguably the best spot in America for BNSF railfanning, especially for elevation addicts. La Cross is also my hometown!

My favorite shot I have gotten this year is a BNSF invader ethanol train on the UP and it meeting a UP mixed freight with an NS ES44AC. EDIT* Its now the fact I saw a CSX MAC Lead on the UP meeting a Wisconsin Coal Train

Here in Connecticut, you either see a passenger train, standard cab dash 8s or some old emd. No wide cabs here(at least on freight trains)!

3:13 that power set was put togeather in galsburg the M-2 and WC HU came in on H-CNIGAL, they added everything else on it and set it on H-GALNTW.
Love those SD70AH caught one on csx Boston sub out here in Massachusetts we dint get much other than csx

Up 8464s horn sounded like one of the FEC SD70M-2s we had back in 2013
