The edge is an awesome controller, but I returned it because the battery life is not worth the price unfortunately. 3-4 hours is not good for a 200+ controller.

I think I don't enjoy it as much as I did the first 2 weeks, for the quirks it has specifically If you play FPS, it's possibly GREAT. for Fighting games (which i'm playing rn on SF6) it has a tendancy to be TOO precise and sometimes, & inconsistent I play Guile, a charge character I try to do a down charge summersault it registers a Neutral heavy kick... it also has times where it could be better, I wish it was a bit like the Victrix "Pro" where you can swap out buttons if necessary Review::: 1. CON: literally the bottom buttons are IRRESPONSIVE AND USELESS in majority of games as extra buttons (you can't use them at all) 2. Con: The d-pad is still a standard d-pad from the PS5 and has a tendancy as to when you push down even a little, it will be unresponsive and you have to make sure it's ALL the way down (not a major upgrade for 200$) 3. Con: The buttons are standard PS5 buttons, they will get used up overtime and those are necessary long term on fighting games, so they will eventually feel clunky at some point, there's no "break in period" for the best time to use them is when new. 4. Pro: is the bottom of the remote has some rubber grip to help reduce hand grip if needed. 5. Pro & Con: The Dualsense edge does have replacement Thumbstick heads, but doesn't have a short variation other than Medium & Tall.. my thumbs are small, so when laying down, it feels like I have to play "1234 I Declare Thumb War" with the left Thumbstick 6. Con: I've personally resorted to the majority of my online fights WITHOUT the Thumbstick head for how out of range it is for me that it affects my ability for "Precise" movements 7. Pro: is you can change the tension on the L2 & R2 bumpers, but they still aren't 100% the best, you HAVE to tune the remote in Dualsense settings to reduce the pressure needed activation; Even then, you can sometimes press just enough and it still won't register your finger pressure (You can see it testing it during the Dual Sense settings) 8. Pro: You can adjust the sensitivity of your Joysticks! Pretty amazing.. for awhile... and there's multiple ways and both joysticks too; But it does affect your IN-GAME sensitivity if you increased that as well, so... it can go basically 10+ on sensitivity. PSA: I've only had it a month, and I kinda feel there could've really been 20-50% more done to the remote to justify it's 200$ I'm already having bad button registration and sometimes it comes out, sometimes it straight up doesn't.. The Victrix PRO BFG gives you everything the Dualsense Edge does, BUT NOT the replaceable Joysticks if you get JoyStick Drift... It even gives you interchangeable D-Pads w/ different positioning Joystick + Interchangeable button layouts on the right of the remote face.. and bottom bumpers that possibly work.. PS: Idc of it's lifespan, I play on my bed most times, so it's normally plugged in & if leaving the remote on IDLE, it doesn't die in 4. hours & sometimes is alive up to 5-6 hours before needing a recharge.
That fan is a piece of trash. I bought it and it both sounded like a jet engine and their auto mode does not work. You want a fan that works? AC Infinity MULTIFAN S5, Quiet Dual 80mm USB Fan. Super discreet, very quiet and cheaper. Plus you can position them across the device how you want and in what orientation you have the console in.
A charging dock is all ppl need. I've always had like 5 controllers since "PS3. Keep one on the charger,soon as one goes out just pick up the other one that's already charged. Since my "T.V. is never far away I've gotten used to playing with the charger plugged in.

So much misinformation here... If the cooling fan exhaust air it's NOT harmful. I know that some of these come faulty and blow into the console and not out. But they do work. I'm not a fan (no pun) of the cooling fan in this video, the vents add air flow impedances. The NexiGo PS5 Silent Enhanced Cooling Fan has a better design; less plastic blocking the fan blades. That being said I use a single AC Infinity MULTIFAN, propped up, behind my vertical PS5. It doesn't look pretty, but does the same job and is independently powered.
The Internal SSD Is Legit The Only Necessity Here Everything Else You Could Live Without Tbh & Possibly The DualSense Depending On If You Play Games Competitively
The only thing that may be necessary is a bigger SSD card. The rest of these products are either a waste of money or not essential, especially those cooling fan attachments. Some of those can actually damage your PS5.
Imo the ssd and maybe dualsense edge depending whether you want the extra features/buttons or not are the only necessary items. Oh maybe headset too if you play a lot of multiplayer games

DO NOT BUY THE COOLING FAN!! It is by far the stupidest accessory on this list as it not only doesn't help, it actually makes things worse. It's designed to blow air in through the back which is where the console has it's exhaust fans. So not only is it not cooling your PS5 but it is actively blocking the hot air from coming out. It will make your console HOTTER!!
4:32 Avoid these at all costs. Bought my Xbox One X off of a kid from FB Marketplace and he threw the One X model of this unit from the same company in for free because he thought nobody would give him trade credit for it. Well, come to find out, the build quality of these are really cheap (like Wish cheap), GameStop and my local game store wouldn't buy it, and it ended up shorting out very quickly after using and one of the charging ports ended up melting the plastic around it. Needless to say, it's a cheap piece of crap built with cheap and useless fans that is more of a fire hazard than anything, so save your money.
I'm sorry, but there's no excuse for an accessory to cost anywhere near as much as the system it's for in the first place. it's just an accessory. At that price i can just buy another ps5 and another controller.

Yep, they've actually tested them, all of them were WORSE than base cooling.

Don’t use fan on your PS5, it will cause damage. The fans don’t flow the correct way and will draw dust down into the console.
