LIVE: Former Starbucks CEO testifies before the Senate about the company's labor movement - 3/29/23
Would never buy a Starbucks Coffee.
Rip off.
Maybe ur just poor
howard is full of it
Starbucks has been in business for decades and has treated employees well. What if Mr. Schultz went on strike, just as in “Atlas Shrugged”?
1:11:15 this dude from Oklahoma is such a clown. Special election win lol.
Tammy Baldwin and Braun made the most sense. It's sad because republicans used to be for unions in my state of Wisconsin but Scott walker Koch brothers funding manipulated these republican politicians.
Imagine complaining about lawlessness and crime being asserted onto your people as a lawmaker😂😂.
3 hrs and i dont feel anything was accomplished here.
Howard wants you to drink his coolaid only
“Rights to gender affirming surgery and abortion travel benefits”
Lmao give me a fckn break 😂😂
He lied the entire time and was extremely combative and unprofessional
Lol at 10:40 did Howard Schultz make sure the Starbucks logo was facing the camera?
lol got him
reality is the kryptinite of corporate-capitalism
Senator Murray was right I know Alot of old timers who are pro union had union jobs and republican. But have forgotten there union brothers because they follow republicans instead of union brothers and sisters.
High immigration levels reduce wages.
Cesar Chavez supported border enforcement.
How much do unionized workers have to pay in union dues?
Usually a percentage 1 to 2 percent of pay. Which is nothing with union pay. Trust me.
Why unionized these kind of jobs it should be a temporary job not a lifetime job
Wrong. It's a different economy, service sector fastest growing sector by 20%. Google it. These aren't jobs of your child hood serving ice cream cone for a nickel. These are million dollar stores all around the country. These employees should be union. Years ago there was bartender unions cleaning unions maintenance unions. But now we've been brainwashed thinking these are entry level. I hope the service industry and hope Starbucks gives them a contract.
Why don't Unionized Starbucks just start their own coffee brand? And try to pay $30/hour to their workers? What stop them to start their own business?
Capital.
Over saturated and ruthless competition.
They have the right to collectivize. End of story. It's a fundamental part of the free market. It doesn't mean $30 necessarily. It means having the right to negotiate at all. Especially around the hours and benefits discussion.
Yes it's pretty obvious what's stopping them, smooth brains think starting your own business is always the answer
@@midnightsun24c7 Union Organization could invest the coffee equipment. Rent the location. I mean if you really have a customer base to support. It'd be not that hard to start.
Mr. Schultz is a very bad lier
Violated company policy but it was retaliation, because you had never been disciplined for it? 🤣🤣🤣 huh? If you didnt violate policy would you have been reprimanded? 😂
We should all unionize. Like our grandparents did. Middle class grows the economy not rich. Every economist will tell you that. Funny how how unions declined food stamps welfare disability govt entitlements sky rocketed. Look at the data.
helllll yeeeah raaand paaaul! to the rescue XD
He took our Sonics from us too. No fan of Schultz in any way.
I won’t go to any unionized Starbucks. These members don’t have a clue how lucky they are to be working for such a great company that takes care of their schooling, health insurance and top pay in the Industry. Just a bunch of ungrateful brats for what this man has done for his people.
@@user-gu7dn9gr8f you need to get out of your zip code
Shultz- 'unions have served an important role in business'......er no unions DO CURRENTLY play an important role in business. Any workers listening, Dont believe shultz
10:37 the arrogance...
Why do we have senile senators still serving….Bernie Sanders a multimillionaire and so FOS…and too old to connect with the younger generation. Please put age limits on senators and congress or no real meaningful change will take place. I am a senior and pleading to get rid of any political official over 70
Schultz. Name says it all.
Go Get 'Em Bernie! Let them Feel the Burn! ❤
Oh god 😭 I just like how he cut Schultz off the moment he realized Schultz destroyed his entire political platform.
This is where the looser hangout out….. I’m sure we can raise enough money to send you anti Americans to a country of your choice.

Workers are struggling, politicians acknowledge it, but they're the ones who haven't raised minimum wages either federally or enforced states to look at their minimum wage laws better. Sorry, but this is not the fault of many corporations. This is our government's fault. People are also unionizing at Starbucks over things that the company already gives them. And it's a coffee company. Most of the stores that unionized, have had a lot of those same baristas quit. The media and politicians blame corporations for everything. When yes, corporations are at fault for stuff. Not saying they're not. But for goodness sakes, don't bring up the wage disparity in this country without acknowledging that our government doesn't do anything about that disparity.
Isn't Bernie in the top 1%. Yet people still vote blue
Unionized coffee shops will go bankrupt.
Live better with Right to Work!
These politicians are getting money from tax payers , while Mr. Schultz gives jobs and livelihood to people around the world through Starbucks.
Are you deaf? “Mr Schulz gives jobs” do you even have a clue to his ILLEGAL union busting practices?? He doesn’t give a crap about his employees. A BILLIONAIRE begrudging his peons the RIGHT to unionize. It’s THE LAW.
Can I buy rocks from you?
@@meansofproductionstudio8657 I’m sure we can raise enough money to sent your anti American hate to another country.
Lol shut up corporate pawn. That trash company is committing illegal acts regarding their workers and unions
They earn a fairly high salary of almost 200,000 however, that is NOTHING compared to the wealth of true capital.
Coming from a man worth 5 million what a bunch a horse crap
? Does that address the validity and power of collective bargaining?
Npc
So what do you begrudge more, a multi BILLIONAIRE made off the backs of others and breaking the union rights of his employees or a man that has fought for 40 yrs, consistently for ppl like you, like him or not, that has actually MADE his $ thru books, speaking, etc. It’s got nothing to do with the rights of workers or the law, you just hate Mr Sanders.
I think if wealth was evenly distributed, it wouldn't be unreasonable for a well educated, financially responsible American with a well paying job to have saved a few million by the time they are 90 years old.
@@meansofproductionstudio8657 go start your own business get some life experience under your belt then come back to me in 5 to 10 years.😊
Up Next: Starbucks is accused of forcing people to work at Starbucks.
This just in: the conniving corporate freeloader class, refuse to acknowledge the reality that the masses create their wealth. howard shultz exhibiting oblivious delusion when he said today: "I earned it, nobody gave me nothing", although when observing the fact that millions gave tens of billions of hours of their labor and talent, which created essentially all of mr. shultz's wealth, shows how delusional he actually is. And then stated that "he created jobs", when reality is that -demand and means- creates jobs. It appears in this case that mr shultz is again dellusional conflaiting the facilitation of jobs with creating jobs
What a stupid comment. He’s committing illegal labor acts. You on the side of corporations? Disgusting
