Hello, my name is Angel, I have only one metal detector, and it is a Minelab X Terra pro. I been detecting for 5 months , so I dig everything. When you dig at the beach, try to use the highest sensitivity, because you have a sand scoop to dig, but if you dig compact hard dirt use a low sensitivity. I use the sensitivity at 10, because any higher and the target is going to be 6 to 8 inches down , and for a penny , pull tab, aluminum can, or nail , it is distracting. On the hard compact dirt. Also at the beach use all metal mode if you want foreign coins. Great hunt
X-terra pro is a great detector. We use beach 1 on dry sand with sens at 18-19. In wet sand and in water beach 2 at 10 to 12 sens. " Your results may vary" 😂
most canadian coins are now made with a steel center and plated with other metals. Makes sense why the nickle was in the negatives and not giving you much with all metal turned off.
I was down there at Santa Monica a few weeks ago spent a couple of hours on the beach with my Manicore and it was tough finding good targets. mostly dimes and pennies but in the wet near the pier I dug a very large scull ring stainless steel. not worth much but it looks cool.
It's amazing that there's ANYthing to find at Santa Monica, even fresh drops, because it's hunted so heavily. So, if your Nox 900 was out of service, would you take your X-Terra Pro or Vanquish (540?) to detect beaches? 😃
For fun I'd take the Xterra, probably because I'm enjoy learning learning process. I've i want to just get out and find stuff I'd go 540......simplicity.
Unfortunately only the minelabs. Either the ML-85 or ML105. You can also use the WM09 wireless module and plug in any corded headphones. That would be one solution as well.
But When the X-Terra Pro is jumpy VDI then it's going to be Not a Coin target, like the Tent Stakes and Aluminum Targets and All the Candian coin's are not a good signal
Yes, jumpy numbers are often junk on all detectors. I try to dig almost everything. I've been surprised a few times! I had no idea until I found this canadian nickel that most of their coins are plated steel!
@@SeekandDetect When I was using the Simplex + Every Junk Target Sounded Great and I was getting tired of Digging Up Everything and Still have nothing but Junk Iron Quarter Tone Targets that I had to carry out and For Me the X-Terra Pro is totally different Detector and have you checked And Changed the tone break settings And checked out the other hidden features 🤔🤔....
I think I'll stick with my old sovereign gt......I don't dig tent pegs or bottle caps but it's still sensitive on everything else including fine rings.😊
@@neilgutteridge6405 I know that it's going to be hard to change once you really get to know what the detector is trying to tell you but the X-Terra Pro is just a Newer version of Minelab Detector's and everyone hasn't found the right settings and Now some people just wanted a turn on and go with it and hopefully it will find something to brag about but the X-Terra Pro has some additional features that not many people are even changing to get the targets like the Sovereign Now is doing For you Now that you have it Dialed in from years of Detecting with it and I have only had the X-Terra Pro for about 7 months now and I'm still learning from it and it's just so New for everyone that is using it to get it figured out and the X-Terra Pro is a Totally Great DETECTOR to have for the Grandkids to start with and it will grow up with them like the Sovereign Now is doing For you ❤️....
@@carolrice2063 i agree that its a great detector, especially for the price and i still may get one for quick visits to the beach......its a lot lighter than the SOV and waterproof so it has some really good plus points.I will say this though.....i would put my SOV up against any new machine on the market today and it would hold its own,i've had a depth mod on mine,i prefer the old school way of hunting without a screen, non of which are accurate on any detector, and the simplicty of its use. Looking at many videos of the xterra,i am probably goint to pull the plug on one for the reasons mentioned above,it is a good machine for the price with good performance.
@@SeekandDetect My X-Terra Pro doesn't do that and I use ALL Tone's and the only thing that I have noticed is when you get to the -16 on the Accept and Reject function it goes back to the -16 Everytime it's been turned off and on and you have to re adjust it but when you hold down the Cog ⚙️ Button and the e1 will show up and it hasn't changed that, so far and I have eliminated some of the Iron Target's 👍.....

Yes, dig everything is the best advice....keep at it and good luck!🍀
Whats all metal mode?

I haven't spent enough time at the beach yet. Hopefully I can out there soon and try some things.
Always great videos. Love the roller coaster. Miss ya buddy. Hope to see you in the beach soon. 🏴☠️🙂
Thanks man! I hit HB last week, couple videos soon, a little different view of HB lol

I didn't realize canadian coins are mostly steel. makes perfect sense now!
Love mine. I hunt daily on the treasure coast here in Florida, I dig everything, love the built in pin pointer,
Awesome!🤙🏽
Tent stakes never found one on my beach in last 5 years good depth nice clean sand.
We have plenty of them here!🥩🥩🥩🤣
Great beach hunt with the Xterra
Thanks OP😊

It's very challenging, so many trashy targets. I've found some nice things in the past.

Tannum breach did 600m sweep never got a target 🎯.
I hate when that happens!
@@SeekandDetect I check to see if I have it on.
Just like all machines, put the hours in to get proficient
10,000 hours!😂🤣
yes, Grasshopper@@SeekandDetect
Beach 1 to 18 out and 41 rest in in all tones horse shoe off.
Park 2 in dry sand.
I found all tones is better.
Yes I generally hunt in all tone. On the Xterra every time you reboot it defaults to off.
