    Ive had mine less than a month, this is quite the detector! Coming from a garrett ace 400 and a tesoro silver umax, this machine will go deep, this is not an easy machine to use at first, there are alot of variables, the ground balance , noise cancel and sensitivity are a must to master these first! the tones are awesome on this and in alot of ways you dont really need the id screen to figure what you are pulling out! For not alot of money this machine can be tweaked for the best results in different soil conditions using different modes and frequencys. it is a thinking mans machine! Nice video!!! Hers a tip for anyone that gets this,, DO NOT go to a trashy park or any area that is known for alot of crap in the ground near water or soil until you figure this machines settings out.. Pick a clean field or even your own property to get a handle on this! My first outing was in a bad area right near the Hudson river in upstate Ny and my God there was so much shit in the soil this machine was going nuts!! LOL

      Lots of good advice you have there, i couldn't agree more. This machine does have a learning curve. In a trashy spot the 6" equinox coil will make life A LOT better😊

    You need to read the manual first; it states you need to use noise cancelling and ground balance every time you change the frequencies. You also need to ground balance over clean ground, by using the all-metal mode first before pumping the coil up and down and before switching to ground tracking. Also backing off the sensitivity helps the jumpy numbers by stabilizing the detector.

    • @SeekandDetect
      @SeekandDetect  7 месяцев назад +4

      Thanks for the tips! I will probably try that in another video, no ground balance vs. ground balance vs auto tracking.... all on the same targets.

    What is your Iron Volume Setting on the X-Terra Pro ???

    • @SeekandDetect
      @SeekandDetect  6 месяцев назад

      I've been playing around with the X-Terra so much lately I do Factory resets often, so my iron volume is usually at the default. In the past with the 900 I played with zero iron volume and use vibration only for low tones. The vibration is tough to feel with gloves on and I'm pretty sure it reduces battery life (especially heavy iron areas)
