There are so many iterations of werewolves, all with their own rules for transforming and defeat. The hardest part is gonna be finding out which one you're dealing with. Imagine dying because you forgot one foot note from page 3 of werewolf type C.
Or for feeling silly because it was the friendly type that just leave fresh fish for good people to eat (Wulver).

So- is anyone gonna mention the hunter is 100% converted after getting bitten and surviving a fatal injury. Methinks a sequel is in the works.

So Cecily was actually the true werewolf all along. But I have questions though.
Why did she sabotage the town and turn the people against each other?
And how did she become a werewolf in the first place?
Apparentely she was a werewolf because she was the 7th child, like the man accused her
7 is an unlucky number in Argentina, so yeah, that’s why she’s a werewolf. She goes against everyone in the town because she has a hunting instinct and likes playing with her food.

Well the fact is that 7th of 7th is considered a conduit for mystical power in a great many cultures... either for good or evil (see Joseph Delaneys book series "spooks" that is based on that)@@SPRINGGREEN813
She mentions her reasons for sabotaging the town. No-one can escape to get help, and with the town isolated, and everybody dead, she has a great big pile of frozen food to eat with minimal effort. Cecily did it because it's a lot safer to let the people just kill each other, (even when it got down to just three people left, they could still take her out) but also, because she likes to manipulate people. You see little bits all the way through the film about how she's watching people, collecting all the gossip she can, and Finn even suggested she was reading people's mail, which is confirmed later when you see all the post that never made it through. If you look at the letter Finn gets at the start from Dr Ellis, it's not in a sealed envelope, so Cecily read that for sure, and if propbably just opening letters. Also, the first time we see her reading a book, as soon as finn turns away from her and she doesn't need to be pretending to read Walden any more, you can make out in the background that she puts that book down right away and just watches the people.
What would I do? If I made it towards the end and was alone with Cecily I'd have said, 'I don't think you're the werewolf, but, if you are, would you mind either not killing me or just making me a werewolf, too? We've gotten along really well and I've done nothing but try to keep you safe; just sayin'. '

Unfortunately, she didn’t really like him and was toying with him/ befriending him to keep him close. I don’t think she wanted a partner, or a living witness.

i was expecting this to be another one of those "well it was just an animal attack in the beginning and everyone just killed one another out of panic" but i'm glad it wasn't. her motivations seemed weird though, other than being out of survival i don't really see a reason for her to have attacked anyone.
She most likely did it because humans are easy prey and likes to play with her food
in Paraguay, the seventh son will likely become a luison which is our version of the werewolve. Pretty terrifying indeed, specially when I have heard stories about actual cases.
now why arent there more movies exploring this and other cultures myths cause as much as i love werewolves and vampires they are done bad nowadays

I remember joking around with my dad that he was a werewolf lol. he had very large canines, and hazel eyes, though sometimes his eyes could go pretty yellow. I remember one time they went yellow during the full moon, it was pretty funny. though my eyes dont turn yellow hardly ever, I do have some big ass canines

Dearest whoever is reading this. My mo used to tell me stories of werwolves or wolf people all the time and she explained her version of werwolves wasn't the original stories but either way I like her stories more than all other explanations for the strange creatures. Anyone wanna hear a short version of her stories?
There's a difference between werwolves and wolf people because the wolf people had powers and could fully control their transformation from human to big a** wolf and with it being intentional they could use their powers to make their clothes disappear whenever they transformed into a wolf so their clothes wouldn't get ripped to pieces and the clothes would reappear on their bodies when they transformed back. So they were always in control with their human minds and always either wolf or human. Werwolves on the other hand weren't born like this or given the wolfs powers like wolf people. A werwolf is what a survivor of a wolf persons attack creates. Bitten by the wolf people? You're now going to transform into a half human half giant wolf hybrid every full moon. You're not gonna have any memories of the incident except for the transformation itself. You'll remember that you transformed and how painful it was to reshape like that and you'll remember your clothes ripping as your size changes and you might even get ptsd from your first transformation but when you're transformed, you're dead until you transform back when the sun rises. You're just straight up dead. Not physically but that's basically why you won't remember anything. So if a wolf person dislikes you, run. Werwolves do not want to exist and to them, it's a fate worse than death unless you just start living in the woods and surviving of the animals you bring home during the full moon. So yeah... You might kill your entire family one full moon so I do not recommend. If you're a furry, ask a wolf person to turn you into a wolf person instead. They just need to make a potion and you just need to drink it right after the wolf person takes a sip. And there you have it! You might get different powers depending on what time of year it is when you become a wolf person but I recommend September or October cause you'll control the weather and could learn to use lightning to create fire or control technology! Like some avatar the last Airbender s**t!

I knew from the start Cecile would be the warewolf, too much of a bright and bubbly personality for not being the main character. As well as surviving for a suspiciously long time.
Honestly, the hunter is the least suspicious. He's the red herring and I would trust him with my life.
Did Dr. Ellis create the werewolf? Why take herself out? Threw the keys outside, is he stupid?

And btw: They should make one day make again genuine werewolf horror movies.
Particularly because in Medieval Europe there were many, many serial killers (SKs), which were later declared as such. Particularly in France with Blaize Ferrage & The Demon Tailor Of Chalons. Particularly after the wars & the wolves, who then developed a taste for human flesh after scavenging.
You mean The Werewolves of Millers Hollow, same principle (and a in sense, closer to the events of the movie), made in 2001.

I used to live in idaho and almost every winter we had elk and 1 or 2 mountain lions come down from the mountains
Personally, because of the TYPE of werewolf she was, id call her a traitor to the werewolf name and then do everything in my power to end her BEFORE her transformation finishes, because killing the human on a full moon night will permanently turn them, but killing both during the transformation will end both human and beast without needing silver, everything else to prevent the deaths that happened, i couldn't help 🤷♀️

There is more to the story but it developed into a whole cult worshiping them as the sons of a woman and Mars god of war, which involved rituals said to give people that power.

Im with you, werewolves are my #1 biggest fear lol one time when i was younger i got the hiccups while on a walk with my mom, it was late fall so it got dark early and my mom pretended she saw something big moving in the park we were walking past, i swear to God my soul jumped out of my body thinking it was a werewolf 😅😮

Pretty much silver water which you drink to put silver particles into your blood stream. It is used to help with bacteria infections, but in this case you spike it in everyone's drink as the substance is harmless unless heavily used. Even then it just turns your skin a purplish silver.
Added bonus is that even if someone gets bit, they might not turn and could possibly poison the werewolf in the process.
