Why is jealousy in a husband towards a wife acceptable but a wife’s jealousy towards her husband not? I hear it framed as this is his right to be jealous and that it somehow elevates his honor. However any jealousy a wife feels is framed as petty and a trait to be removed. I genuinely don’t understand why one emotion is framed differently between the sexes.
No that is not true. In certain cirdumstances a wifes jealousy is considered a good trait like the jealousy of being cheated on. On the other side a man's jealousy can be a bad trait as well like when he is jealous on his ex or when he does not want to marry a divorcee because of his jealousy.

Problem is when a woman makes it very clear she won't accept a 2nd wife, the man accepts and marries her. Then a couple years into the marriage he starts changing, lying, cheating, marries in secret more than once, lies when caught, does not give the 1st wife her rights, ignores her, doesn't come home, picks fights for no reason etc etc. This after 1st wife gave no reason for this treatment. That's just wrong. If a man can't be a real man with 1, he won't be a man with 4!

this is just a failure to understand men and women are different. As a mother, you can love all your children equally. i think most women wouldn’t have a problem with having a sister wife… in my opinion the whole issue is more subtile. a lot of men (not all of course) don’t care about god, they don’t care about the feelings of others… they only care about their ego whether it's consciously or unconsciously. This causes them to have a very narrowminded view of the world...such men lack a holistic way of thinking which would be necessary to make the whole dynamic of several wives peaceful.

I believe and summit to the will of Allah. I come in as a second wife then the third wife came in after then, because i am easy going person my husband took that for granted and alot of injustice for me and my son. I just live every thing to Allah. For me is a trial from Allah. I still will say polygamy is a good practice is just that we practice it in a wrong way to suit ourselves. If only we do it according to the way Allah SWT instructed us to do.
