@@devilvocano420 i've got 3k+ hours in both games, a few top 1000 placements on fn cash cups and i have to say that RL is much harder mechanically. If you practice mechs in fortnite for 1-2k hours straight you'd get really fast (if your fingers can keep up) and you'll pretty much be able to do everything that pros can(just probably not as precise as them). In RL you can spend 1000 hours learning a single mechanic and still not get close to mastering it. And then actually doing it under pressure consistently is like 2x as much time as it took you to learn it in the first place.
This game has the craziest skill ceiling and if you don’t understand that you haven’t played and or don’t get how difficult what they’re doing is. Truly the greatest esport
Yeah I've always said it was this or Fortnite mechanics wise. Maybe not in terms of strat and brains but definitely mechanically the highest ceilings
@@daraotl5187 well strats/brains get harder and harder as people have more and more options of mechanics to do at any given time so you have to learn all the mechanics to be able to defend them so as long as there are new mechanics being created there will be a high mental ceiling for rl
@@halloweentreehouse as someone with 3k hours in RL, we shouldnt act like RL is a strategic game, people who play LoL or such games can have that claim. RL is by far the most mechanical game out there and nobody can convince me otherwise.

I'm a high GC3 player. I've even played against pros; that first goal from Atomic was more complex than you lower ranks can realize. Not to mention the defense. Players prioritize clean, effective, and efficient movements over freestyling; even though it looks like they are, they're just that good; it's not a freestyle tourney; it's RLCS. I want to see you guys try to watch your opponent while air dribbling, hit it over them, and hit a clean double using nothing but efficient movements. He even threw a fake in there to get his defender to jump. Trust me when I say you mfs are not doing that.

they make it look easy so he assumes it doesn't take much to do it. that first goal alone probably takes1/2k hours maybe more depending on player just to hit that on command.

U have no idea how this game is supposed to be played neither have u ever played at even 15% of the speed these games are played at. SSL is so fucking far away from pro its not even funny. I've been SSL since the rank came out and their isnt a sliver in my soul that says I could even come close to competing at this level. 0% Chance u have any idea what these players are thinking or how to challenge these types of plays. Not trying to shit on u cause I agree but u saying all that extra shit wasn't necessary because you have actually 0 knowledge on how the game is played at this level. Not a single thing you think you know applies here. Nothing.

scoring a double tap in training is something. Using the mechanic to your advantage with high consistency, against other pros, is just something else
whats funny about this game is that once u get to like top 0.2% the other 19.8% below them think theres basically 0 differences because they literally cannot tell what they are doing different thats how much of a skill gap there is in this game.
And people think SSL players (top 0.6%) are close to pros, when there is still an absolute massive difference between them

Been a g2 fan since season 9. Seeing them be nrg’s rival and watching them not win for a while, nrg falling off, new roster brought success at lans. Just hurts how many times bds has beat them. On the same arena they only got another game in 2 years. This was their perfect chance at revenge. Small chance it will happen again

The skill gap is so massive in this game that it's normal that he doesn't even notice the mindgames happening.The gamesense at this level is just way different.
Before anybody says anything I'm GC3, so I understand the game quite a bit. And my playstyle is more gamesense oriented, since mechs require way too much time of practice.

Does xQc realize this is competitive and not free styling championship? The shots scored on both are wildly different, one just tries to get the ball in the goal any way possible and the other is doing 10 pogo bounces with 20 flip resets. Not even comparable.

@@Mster_J 579 million v 742 million (and europes number is including russia and russia doesnt have a scene in rocket league), so it isnt that big of a difference for such a niche and small esport tbh and then you also have language barriers in europe which forces teams to stick to smaller communities, look at france, their population is less than 70 million and they can effectively beat NA on their own on the all time stats, culture is everything. The biggest difference is the fact EU teams try out with new prospects more, pros from EU and I specifically remember retals speaking about it in the past. NA only team with friends most of the time and recycle them over n over. People like kaydop and monkey etc who are the most successful players always go out of their comfort zone and find the best person to team with. NA over the years have always played it safe and recycled old talent. That's for sure the biggest difference.

Diamonds can do that in diamond lobby’s, champs can do that in champ lobby’s. A diamond or champ is not doing that in a pro lobby
He’s right though. People in diamond hit double taps.. against other diamonds. The defense is what makes it hard. Going from high champ to GC I barely hit doubles anymore because of how good the defense is. It’s a lot more impressive to hit nice shots against good defenders,
I think what he’s missing is that even the basic mechanics the pros do are very specifically selected on the fly - like the first goal was actually set up as an air dribble bump, then he delayed boosting to conceal the double tap until the last second. If he went to the backboard right away it would have been an easy save for the defender.
I am d3/C1 and there's no way xqc said low diamond can do that first goal... I've been grinding for almost 2 years and I'll be lucky to air dribble over 2-3 opponents and double tap it ...

As always xqc talks about something that does not understand at all. The difficulty of doing such shots at this level, is the speed. Every single one of these mfs can do triple flip resets if they want, but at that speed it's practically impossible. Rocket league it's a game of mind, strategy and synergy.
nah xqc talks like this to trigger chat sometimes, but youre right its the speed and the precision they move and air roll the car etc. In ranked you got so much more time and most of the time people dont belong in the ranks they play in, so you sometimes get more time to do fancy stuff but in pro play they challenge or fake challenge most of the times.

BDS vs. G2 might be one of my favorite esport matchups the history above competitions is intense just remember the Pengu vs Shaiku like 2019 in R6. Always love when they end up playing against each other especially grand finals in RL if there just wouldn't be some weird Canadian Skeleton in the top left corner rambling about his plat 1 gaming experience

The difference between diamond and pro players doing this is a lot harder to score in pro lobbies. Pro players would normally defend shots like that but you gotta see what happened leading to that goal. did someone get bumped. was a player out of position etc

G2 started strong and BDS very slow (Maybe still recovering from the other game).

The ending is just unlucky and under that amount of stress from 2 BDS players in that corner (He had to get a really good hit/scoop). Some Ex-Pros were talking about him going for a flip cancel scoop to try to keep possesion, but that failed. Pro"s still do make mistakes so don't blame him too hard.

But BDS did beat G2 2x and Falcons [In the Top 8] => So yeah, they do deserve it.

The first G2-BDS series in semi's was so much more entertaining. It was also the moment I knew G2 would get beat by BDFS. G2 fan, I will still cheer for them, even though I know they are gonna toss every sweep they start. Still, no other team has had an answer, besides various versions of BDS/Monkeymoon +. Exotiik showed up hard and might have been the decider. Some of the non-highlight plays were the difference. Atomic whiff happens, but it had already been settled. Also this looks like my diamond lobby. /sarc for dumbies.

I’m GC2. And wasn’t able to really analyze pro gameplay until I watched it for years and hit GC. Anything less than that and it’s hard to even keep up with what they are doing and why they are doing it. No offense but Xqc has some pretty arrogant and bad takes in this. Sure he could double tap with 100 boost and no pressure. But he can’t comprehend what’s actually happening. He slightly delays the air dribble to have an option of faking the pre jumped last man. If the last man double jumps than the player on ball will just go under him. So then he cleverly air dribbles it slightly higher than the opponent to double tap. NO WAY is a diamond ever doing that in that speed of a lobby. Hard to listen to his input.

1:38 Absolutely not, that is not a regular aérial shot, he controlled everything (angle / speed / accuracy of the touch / distance between the backboard and his car) that is not a diamond level shot, that's a pro shot and i'm great champion so i can say this, i can't master that shot for the moment, i can do it but sometimes i will miss and i'm not even sure to have the same quality when i do it correctly.
