For all those saying, "please show me a 50K mi. '14 for $16K..." You are looking at one! This GT was purchased for $16k with 50K miles on the odometer. The car was purchased and the review was filmed before the pandemic had so aggressively raised the used car prices.
These hold their value very well. Just bought a 2014 Mustang GT with a 6 speed manual with 61k miles for $22,600 last week. It was the only one of the 11-14 models for sale in my area for over 400 miles. A lot of little stuff wrong with it. Interior dome lights needed replacing, one of the plate lights is out, windshield cracked and pitted, the paint has touch up in about 10 spots but they did a lot of work to it as well. New brakes and slotted rotors, brand new exhaust, new (4k miles on it) transmission, new clutch (4k miles) and throw out bearing, cold air intake. Love the style and the power. Basically a bucket list type of car for me.
I got mine a little over a year ago for $25.6k with a lot of mods already on it with 77k miles. Pretty well taken care of, and I have a lot more to do with it.
Totally agree. I recently bought a 2011 GT with 112k miles in pretty decent shape for 10k. So much fun and super easy to work on for the most part if you like to turn a wrench occasionally. Love it!
I definitely think the 13/14 are the best looking S197's. A lot of car for the money on the used market and so easy to mod. Revving out the Coyote in my 18 never gets old.

You said it best; better looking than 90% of the cars out there, plenty of mod'ing/repairing/upgrading parts for the S197 body (aesthetics, performance). I had a 2014 GT 6-speed that I traded in a few years ago, and just purchased a 2010 Shelby GT500 because I missed the body/nose so much.
Those 16 grand days are way long gone my dude. If you find any 5.0 with 50k on it for 16 grand, you just won the lottery. You might want to make a follow up video since it's been another year about what these cars are actually bringing. You can't buy that exact car now for under 20k. And with only 50k on it, I think it could go as high as 25 grand today.
I’m trying to get rid of mine. ‘13 GT prem(auto) with close to 60.5k mi. I’d say it’s in “fair”(kbb) or “just okay”(carvana) condition. Exterior has some work to do but interior/engine/transmission are still good after almost 8 yrs as my daily. I’d be happy let it go for $14k or over.

I would like to add that in Europe American cars are burdened with customs, VAT and the price of transport. This Mustang of mine cost $ 26,000. Still, I don't regret it. Enjoy these exceptional cars while we can ..
nice review. in 1996 i bought a new black on black GT w 4.6 L 5 speed manual. loved that car, it had a lot of Torque but only 210 hp. when i turned 59 last April i bought my 1999 C5 hardtop Corvette w only 18k miles. Certainly a rare breed and i love it. been watching a lot of reviews of this 2013 GT with Coyote engine and boy oh boy this one makes me want another mustang GT again
I have had a 68 fastback 70 mach 73 302 and a few 65s.I get in the 2013 prem and feel like im in a time warp..Dont tell the wife but i hit 130 mph and it was smooth and could have went faster,, What a blast and fun car.. The 10 grand i payed for a one owner wiith less than 100k was a steal... Few outside changes spoiler side black outs People tell me all the time... They love it....

I’m praying that the prices come back down soon. I need a 13/14. That era and the 2018 up are the best looking base model mustangs out there. All you need is a front lip, lowered, and some decent wheels and you’re looking clean.
I do not think they will come down or if they do not very much, the new mustangs are so expensive, this body style will never be made again, how many have clean titles lots of other things. This body style are basically the new Foxbody and prices will reflect that.

Hopefully the cost stays even but i dont see them dropping, they may become more desirable since the s550 are everywhere and 13-14 is the last muscle car feeling mustang
s197 was also made to be a retro mustang being more simplistic and reflecting the 60s style especially in the front. s550 discontinued the retro and made it more modern.
Early on in 2020 it was an awesome buyers market. Everyone was afraid to buy because of COVID. Now people want to buy but the inventory has dried up. Prices have skyrocketed in the last year. Won't find a deal like that any time soon.

So i imported 1 the last Days cuz thats my absolute Dream Car, not ever produced here in Europe u need to import 1 if u wanna own 1. So im total in that Car mine is in deep blue shiny with that special GT 500 Optics, white double stripes all over i really love that stuff, its not cheap to run that here in Germany, but u need to live ur Dreams not even dream it, live it!

Now take it on a road course and shift gears while going around a turn and see what happens. You'll have gear jamb and lock out. The transmissions in these cars are garbage. The newer cars, Shelby, have a much more better transmission with positive shifts through turns and on straights. Nice video but I disagree with they are better than the new Mustangs. JMHO
i ownded a lot of german and italian brands, thats nr.40 i have now. not even the Alfas i drove or big Mercedes did made me crazy about that V8, u need to drive 1 to understand that, there a lot of Cars there in the Market that are much more better in technics or whatever, but no other brand give u that feeling that V8 Bang, u love that or hate that, nothing in between.
I can’t speak for the GT, but my V6 has the MT82 and I do not have any issues with it. This GT has the 6R80 Auto so did not touch on manual issues in this review.
@@GrahamCain I begin to wonder if the v6 mt82 has less problem than the v8 mt82?! I saw a lot of videos of auto mafia racing who boost 3.7 and it seems to work well! .. Haha yeah I know! I'm a manual transmission guy but those coyote with the 6r80 begin to grow on me since they seem to be quite reliable and maybe faster (?) than the mt82? (And of course more consistent acceleration times!) Great content btw! I saw a bunch of your vids! Made me consider even more buying a 3.7 :)
You are in the minority then, the 2013-14 are absolutely raved about and guys with 2010 -2011s and 2012 all swap out the tail light and headlights on theirs, it is pretty common . The 2013-14 was the best looking mustang ever from the factory. It beats the originals as well.
To me, the 2015 rear was the best by far of the modern Mustangs. However, when Ford started modeling the front after a catfish head, the car lost appeal.
I agree. The 05-09 rear was very retro and had a way better looking stance. Ford ruined that in 2010. I cannot see how anyone thinks the squish, girly looking rear end of this car looks great!
