"...less used than a Scottish man's sunglasses." As a Scottish man, I felt that. I genuinely wear my sunglasses more in winter than in summer, because they're most needed for low-angled sun when driving.
If Chicago ever got a PWHL team, Allstate Arena would likely be their home, at least in my opinion. I think that when the PWHL expands for the 1st time, with it only having 6 teams, the first expansion cities should definitely be Chicago at Allstate Arena, which is actually in Rosemont IL, Denver at Blue FCU Arena in Loveland CO, Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia PA, and Washington DC at Capital One Arena in Washington DC.
Finally, the city I was born and bred! Much love for the Northwest Side and the wonderful 'stadiums' of St. Patrick, Wilbur Wright, Steinmetz, St. Ferdinand, Resurrection (high school and grade school) and Hansen Stadium. 🤘🏼
One other thing. Chicago is not called the Windy City because of how windy it is. It's a reference to all the hot air coming from all the local politicians
If anybody is wondering where northwestern football plays now, it’s called Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Which was the college’s soccer and lacrosse stadium. Now it’s probably the most generic stadium in college football. It’s seats 12,000 for minor games. And at least 35,000 for mid games. Then they’ll play at SeatGeek stadium or Wrigley field for when Michigan and Ohio state come to town.
The first game Northwestern played on the temp field looked amazing on TV, with the lake and city skyline in the background. I told some buddies I wish they'd consider that asthetic with the new stadium, but then one said " just give it a few weeks when the wind starts ripping through there off the lakefront and see how much the players and fans hate it!"
I've always wondered something about people who live in and near Bridgeview. Do you and your neighbors feel like you got a bad deal by paying such a large cost for the stadium? Especially since the Fire never drew a good crowd there and moved back to Soldier Field. Do you still feel like it was worth it, or kind of not?
Another fun video. Mom and Dad lived in Chicago for the first three years of their marriage and were regulars at Comiskey and the old Chicago Stadium when Stan Mikita and Bobby Hull were in their prime. Sadly, these days the only thing guaranteed ay Guaranteed Rate is the likelihood of a loss for the White Sox, now one defeat away from a new record...
10:50 it doesn't help that the Reinsdorf family are as bland as stale bread and are so bad at owning a baseball team that the White Sox just lost an all-time record 121 games last night...and it happened at that boring edifice known as Guaranteed Rate Field. Also, Chicagoland Speedway is inactive and no longer in use. NASCAR now races the Chicago Street Course in downtown, a temporary road course surrounding Grant Park and Lake Shore Drive. The fans of the park hate it because it's more summertime with a park that is partially closed to the public but screw the NIMBYs who are wasting their money living downtown lol
Awesome! I grew up in Chicago and I've been waiting for this one! Great job.

Lots of fun stadiums and arenas there, so thanks for the vid! I'm also both not surprised and surprised about how many of them there are in Chicago

Could have added the Kane County Cougars, Windy City Thunderbolts, and Schaumburg Boomers
and the Gary Railcats
Banger!!!!! BANGER!!!!
I live in Chicago, I've been a subscriber for about 2 years minimum. I was wondering when you'd get to this place. You did a great job!
And at the end of a video about stadiums in Chicago, you just had to show a scene of a hot dog with ketchup to troll us Chicagoans! 🤣
How about doing videos on the Washington, DC and Baltimore md.areas.
DePaul's arena might be the best in this vid, matinee games must be awesome
DePaul men's basketball hasn't been good lately like they used to
Still waiting for stadiums of the San Francisco Bay Area
2:09 wrong Chicago Fire logo. That’s their old one.
I'm a long time Chicago suburbanite, I've often felt that the new Soldier Field looks as if aliens landed their space ship on top of the old stadium.
One other thing. Chicago is not called the Windy City because of how windy it is. It's a reference to all the hot air coming from all the local politicians
Great selection of stadiums, but that little doggie jumping up to nick someone's hot dog - doesn't that amount to cannibalism?
San Francisco Bay Area Stadiums?
Awesome video , as always bro
FINALLY
I had a chance to see a game at soldier field in the 90s (I spent 1 winter there) and didnt go. One of my life regrets
Please do Milwaukee next!
Love doing these, we have uhh Prisons FC in Tanzania, Prisons XI Gaborone, Soul Tower Hamlets FC
Finally
Yeah UIC doesn't need an arena. They should play in a high school gym
He missed big baseball stadium is the western suburbs
Are you talking the Kane County Cougars??
@@RobertDetert yes I am
Aw! Missing Ozinga Field, home of the Windy City ThunderBolts. Used to do play by play for them
They have a few good arenas, pure basketball
What about the U.S. Steel Yard? Granted it's in Indiana but it's closer to Chicago than Joliet.
Algiers next !
Valparaiso not considered a part of Chicagoland?
They're eating the dogs!
lol
"Who Let The Dogs" Baha Men
You forgot The Ballpark at Rosemont which is right across from Impact Field
Mmmm, pizza. Side note: Wrigley is an all time great. The rest are somewhere between meh and bad.
I beg you to update the Fire's badge 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Joliet is 50 miles southwest of Chicago.
Joliet is not 50 miles from chicago its on 38 miles
Although a good joke you mixed up nerd and geek.
Wrigley Field should have been the wrecking ball three decades ago if not sooner... I SAID DISGRACE!!!
You’re the disgrace 🤬
Worst stadium name in baseball, fitting for one of the worst MLB teams of all time.
Chicagoland can just include all of the supertall skyscrapers and sports venues, too!🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🏗🏗🏗🏗🏗🏗🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟
3:19 Does anything count as Chicago now?
@14:38 LOL 🤡 Too funny!
I believe the Thompson Twins sang it best....

Well, the most generic apart from literally sitting on the shore of Lake Michigan. That makes it pretty not generic if you ask me

Is it really necessary bashing a TEMPORARY football arena?

Thank you for showcasing my city's stadiums and arenas. Especially SeatGeek Stadium. I live a few miles from there.

I personally think it's a waste of taxpayer money. It's sad there are no major tenants except the Red Stars and the Hounds and concerts.
Best city in the USA !!!
nooooo that's the old chicago fire logo!!! we fire supporters hate it!!! :(
Montreal next

You left out Northwestern Medicine Field home of the Kane County Cougars. It's actually closer to Chicago than Joliet.
Great video, especially the audio clip at the end. One note, you used the Chicago Fire's very-short lived 2nd logo. They already have a new crest.
Good job.
I really enjoyed this one.
Being from Illinois these are our home ballparks stadiums arenas racetracks ect
It's not called the windy city, because of wind. It's windier in the western part part of America.
"they're eating the dogs" 😂
Do Philly!!!
Puppy!
15:00 - What sort of mon$ter puts ketchup on a hot dog?
