This game had been one of the most elegant I've played in recent years. The mechanics tie into the lore of the game and it always feels like you're always trying to maintain the balance.
By the end of a fight, I don't feel like I've defeated a foe - I feel like I've restored things to the way they should be.
The blend of strings, glass bells, and marimbas really makes the experience feel mysterious and celestial - there's parts in the soundtrack where I could feel a vocal chorus could have fit in, but I'm glad they've kept it to instruments instead - retaining all the emotion and wonder while feeling slightly 'inhuman', alien but universal.
Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but I'm charmed with this game. The cherry on top is that it's really fun to play!
The music, characters, and gameplay are all wonderful.
I love astrea's fate!! This game is beautiful . good job to the developers, you can tell this game has soul and heart poured into it.
The Ground Zero song got stuck in my head but I couldn't remember which song it was.
I'm glad I could finally find it.
This game is so great, the artstyle, the gameplay, the music, the atmosphere, I hope it gets noticed more and blows up a bit more.
Astrea's Fate: A really charming mystical, mysterious feel to start. Incredibly pretty textures. That piano melody is stunning!
Tainted reef: completely magical, I especially love the section starting at 03:00, those harmonies and the driving feel just hit right
Stellarium: this is my favourite track, I'm just completely entranced listening to it!!! beautifully lush feel and melodies and the swells in the dynamics are breathtaking
The Shrine: I get a sort of stern, regal, grand vibe from this, brought out nicely by the lovely two chord progression. I love the nod to the melody from Tainted Reef
Perilous Alignment, Astropolis Ruins, Dark Retrogrades: these have a very pleasing military/StarFox kind of vibe
Ground Zero: cool chaotic feel, but emotive and heart-wrenching too, like a vampire love story plot twist
The Void, Endless: love the diabolical organ melodies and that powerful main motif
Fragment of a Goddess: grandiose, magnificent, divine!! I hear those sneaky little motivic nods 😌
Break the Curse: The intro blows me away, especially that rapid tuned percussion. I love the recontextaulising of the melody from the previous track
This is like a mix of Final Fantasy and Nintendo music styles with some magic added
Dark Retrogades has moments that remind me of Molgera's battle from Zelda WW
15:48 - Dark Retrogrades is the best.
Somehow the whole vibe similar to Kirby.
I haven't started the game yet because the main menu theme slaps.
Really excellent soundtrack, and I enjoyed my first run of the demo. I'm sure the composers would appreciate being credited in the description section.
Nice soundtrack!
Simply, a masterpiece
Nice, keep it up! We'd like to add your music on our blog
I like listening to the ground zero theme while playing chess
Really good, reminds me of the FF13 music just a tad.
Stellarium really reminds me of a Theae 2 track. Very ephemeral
Is there any way you can separate these OSTs on RUclips so that I can put them in my playlists to listen to? 😊It would be much appreciated!
I would love that as well! I love listening to this while driving at night
6:37 Is this a Slay the Spire reference (to Exordium)?? It sounds kind of similar and gives off a similar vibe (+ Stellarium sounds like Exordium and this music would play a similar parts in each game)
