sorry if it bursts your mood a little bit, but, the original trailer music is still superior to this new one, if you compare it. this new one has a new melody, but it seems slightly off-beet and off-tone, this one at 0:18. it doesnt have the monotone and reverb properties of the original, and its earlier implantation ruins surprise of it later on, making it less emotional you can easily hear when it loops now (just listen, it happens like, trice) the drum build-up is (the "dunk, dunkdunk-dunk") is repeated, but repeating it just makes it more wave-like then build-up, loosing more emotion the shrilling bass that screams in your ear in the original, dramatic, emotional! but its soo quiet here, you can only hear it if you are looking for it! and loosing this loudness, again, it looses emotion. it just makes you feel alone, and hearing the original then this, it makes me feel a extra... its too quiet finally, the original cuts-off at its peak, leaving you awe-struck, bowing to you as a masterpiece was finished. this one just drags it out. oh, and then the mystique into a banger! that was such a nice thing in the original, this is too sudden, the noise of rain into the noise of music, it doesnt just force you into it like this extended version. if I had to say why the original is great and what this new one looses, its the completely feeling of the music the original, the mystique, and then tension- it feels big and growing bigger with the oscillating bass, then the drums, dunkdunk-dunk, and all that tension, it sends shrills, building up, bigger- bigger! then, the monotone releases such tension, going down, makes my face feel like its melting, as in the entire structure of my face just, relaxed. then the intense bass, soo juicy. that along with the beat makes me from a relaxed mush to a iron-strong structure, pulsating up stronger with each wave, and then as I said, cuts off- only reverb left. it bows to you saying the show is done. I recommend everyone reading this comment listen to the trailer music again: ruclips.net/video/u-cuf39rK8g/видео.html I guess that is what happens when you extend a 36 second song into a 96 second one
@@redopal9796 interesting, i didn't notice any differences in the section that was in the trailer but perhaps I'm not as attentive, I still like having more of the song though. I've heard many bad loops of songs, this loop is not bad as everything still continues on instead of abruptly stopping for a second and sure it loses tension but i think it serves as a reminder of tension if that makes sense. I do not know too much about music but this seems fine to me, i can hear the bass fine and it is only slightly quieter and i actually like the emotion this gives off more, I'd describe it as "near hopeless but some hope still shines through". I would argue that new first melody having no reverb actually gives it MORE emotion as it is easily noticeable how different the two are, it feels more desperate which i like. I see no problems here and you are allowed to express your opinions but i feel a bit insulted.
I feel this strange nostalgia/Deja Vu for Breathing Hyometer, Vast Unlife (especially that sad vaguely vocal sound), and Open Skies. Like I heard some similar music back when I was a young child and I haven't heard anything like that until just now. I wish I could put my finger on what exactly they remind me of. It's like a time capsule that I forgot the location of. Something important is in there, but I just can't get to it.
good on AnnoyingFlower for making these beautiful works of art for this and on the people associated with Rain World for recognizing their passion and talent, it's spectacular and I hope this gives them a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction in their life. I didn't expected an dlc to be as long if not even more in packed content than the original game. Totally worth it, it surprised me as much as the base game with the new scenarios and encounters.
Hearing the threat music on Metropolis the first time ingame actually made me think that there was an actual siren in there, I didn't know it was part of the music xD great trick!
1:34:24. Breathtaking. (I guess Region name spoilers?) I just have to say, once you get to Metropolis and this music starts playing, its just immaculate vibes. This DLC really is something.
I seroiously wish there was a day and night cycle for every region, and thats when horrible creatures like spitter spiders, centipedes, wolf spiders, and alot of lizards come out
There was a song in one of the new sky islands rooms close to the entrance to the farm arrays that when i heard it i just stopped doing anything and just took it in, the tiny slugcat at a high point perching above the ruined land of a bygone age until a vulture just annoyingly swooped in out of nowhere and ruined the moment so i had to chase it off, but my point is... I haven't really done anything like this in the game before (although i should) and it was a very special moment
honestly, some of this reminds me of minecraft's ost... imagine how nostalgic rain world's music will be in 10 years... with all the bittersweet, sad, and adventurous songs. ESPECIALLY 41:28, 2:00:09, 1:24:31, and even the first song
Tbh I love the open skies one the most! It sounds mysterious but also calming (to me at least-) and it is a nice soundtrack to listen to when your drawing or doing other things! Like if you agree that open skies is a good song :>
Does anyone know which songs... [SPOILERS BELOW] Play during Rivulet's campaign when you get close to 5p's energy cell [it's a remix of the main theme], and when you're in the snow area after placing the energy cell in Moon's heart? Can't seem to recognize them and trying to avoid Saint OST spoilers for now heheheheheheh EDIT: I believe the song near 5p's energy cell is Sparkling Pendulum, still unsure on the Bitter Aerie song EDIT 2: Bitter Aerie song is a muffled version of Garden
Assuming the songs are separated by campaign, which I don't know cause I haven't listened, it'd be nice if there were chapters for the new campaigns so that people who want to listen to certain music can without getting spoiled on songs for campaigns they haven't played. Like I haven't played Saint or Spear Master but I really want to listen to songs from Riv, Goudy, and Arty.
all the region art shown in the video was made by Norgad not me, i think that's worth a mention!
Wait why does the description mention you then, is that just a mistake? If so then someone should probably mention it to them

if I had to say why the original is great and what this new one looses, its the completely feeling of the music
the original, the mystique, and then tension- it feels big and growing bigger with the oscillating bass, then the drums, dunkdunk-dunk, and all that tension, it sends shrills, building up, bigger- bigger! then, the monotone releases such tension, going down, makes my face feel like its melting, as in the entire structure of my face just, relaxed. then the intense bass, soo juicy. that along with the beat makes me from a relaxed mush to a iron-strong structure, pulsating up stronger with each wave, and then as I said, cuts off- only reverb left. it bows to you saying the show is done. I recommend everyone reading this comment listen to the trailer music again:

I guess that is what happens when you extend a 36 second song into a 96 second one
God DAMN there are some great tracks in here. Task, Pipe Yard Threat, and Orange Lizard are my favorites.
And Sheer Ice Torrent is possibly the biggest banger in the ost so far
@@Nikowo1610 outer expanse threat in my opinion
DUDE REFLECTION OF THE MOON SOUNDS SO COOL INGAME
good on AnnoyingFlower for making these beautiful works of art for this and on the people associated with Rain World for recognizing their passion and talent, it's spectacular and I hope this gives them a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction in their life. I look forward eagerly to seeing more of their work.
annoyingflower made the thumbnail, they made a comment on it on this video somewhere
List of absolute faves: Aquaphobia; Fragile; Trusted component; Flux; Sheer Ice Torrent; Veiled Northstar; New Else VIII; Lost City; Rain; Wandering Cut; Ancient; Scapeless Doubt.
Special gratitude to Progfox for such an astounding job. And many thanks to all of the other artists for staying true to the atmosphere of the original game.
My only wish is that Snoodle one day would make some RW music tracks as well, since they are cool af and on point with the spirit of this universe as well.
Thanks for the kind words! Huge shout out to 12lbs and Ongomato for their work on the More Slugcats soundtrack, they filled all the gaps I wasn't quite scratching. Plus 12lbs took care of all the Threat music, which is no easy feat!
Threat outer expanse hits so hard. It's got such a thumpy bass and the melody really puts you on edge. Great stuff.
Such a phenomenal experience. Never had such strong emotions conveyed by any form of media before
This game has had such a large impact on me. I will never forget it.
Rubicon threat music is used in the "stygyan depths" challenge, which is a refference to the room teased years ago when this was still the lava region

bom bom bom-bom-bom bom bombombombom-bom
İ just frigin love the ost album cover(thumbnail) art
This DLC was worth every penny of it, I hope there would be more dlcs x3
I just wish you could get an extra echo as arti
@@TheMantisLord50 but there is an extra echo
pretty sure arti gets 7 echos and once youre at 5 karma you get 2 karma for one echo so, i think its not possible to get 10 karma unless you drag a scav with you
alternatively, use expedition mode and get 4 echos

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WHY WOULD MOON HAVE A THREAT WHEN SHE HAS LIKE 3 ROOMS UNLESS SHE FULLY RECOVERED
Spearmaster's campaign is during the time she's about to have that little collapse. So she has her own wall, underhang, and region.
@@ConvergingWinter oh it’s before not after. That kinda sucks
@@TheMantisLord50 Rivulet is after though and he pretty much explores Moon's sunken "region"

17:55, threat, waterfront complex.
31:59, threat, metropolis (night)
I didn't expected an dlc to be as long if not even more in packed content than the original game. Totally worth it, it surprised me as much as the base game with the new scenarios and encounters.
These are so good! I hope someone someday releases them all separate, I really want to listen to Not Your Rain on repeat ahah
I think they're on bandcamp
Hearing the threat music on Metropolis the first time ingame actually made me think that there was an actual siren in there, I didn't know it was part of the music xD great trick!
release it on steam already im constantly refreshing the page xD
my god i love the pipes in landmarks
Man, I liked the ost of the firsr game, but this DLC's music is beyond amazing. Really a step up.
1:34:24. Breathtaking.
(I guess Region name spoilers?)
I just have to say, once you get to Metropolis and this music starts playing, its just immaculate vibes. This DLC really is something.
Sheer Ice Torrent sounds really amazing, the fact that it goes so hard make me scared why the soundtrack even played in the first place
Where did it play?
@@Yangjo 1:09:52
@@Korudo1322 oh I meant in what region in game

Beautiful stuff. Love the art, too.
I love ascent so fucking much.. its underrated.
Cool detail that the slugcats become more pacifist further into the time line!
Here we go with new bangers, can’t wait to play them all on loop
The absolute ✨BANGERS✨ indie games just casually drop are so criminally underrated they’re on the watch list.
Sheer Ice Torrent goes so hard, it is amazing.
The best song on the soundtrack.
Task, sheer ice torrent, my beloved
Can't stop listening to lost city
Random fate definitely my favorite
Scapeless Doubt sounds like it’s from Portal 👀✨
i don't know where in the game satellite plays but i love that it has echoes of both moon's theme and the title screen game theme
14:17 satellite is great
17:56 I know I need to go to bed when I was startled and jumped at this
Oh my god it happened again
Love everything about this, from the music to the art
I seroiously wish there was a day and night cycle for every region, and thats when horrible creatures like spitter spiders, centipedes, wolf spiders, and alot of lizards come out
yeah.
Satellite goes so hard I am transcending
Ascent is so haunting. That instrument sounds familiar but I can't place what it is. Beautiful melancholic vibes for such a cool area
landmarks goes so hard holy shit
ost is fire
Hell yes!
intikus on the soundtrack wondered why it banged so hard
Favourite songs:
Triptrap: 8:53
1:02:17 I have never before in my life heard the desolation and utter devastation of everything you once knew portrayed so well in a song. Goddamn.
There was a song in one of the new sky islands rooms close to the entrance to the farm arrays that when i heard it i just stopped doing anything and just took it in, the tiny slugcat at a high point perching above the ruined land of a bygone age
until a vulture just annoyingly swooped in out of nowhere and ruined the moment so i had to chase it off, but my point is...
I haven't really done anything like this in the game before (although i should) and it was a very special moment
I really want to get to play this, i hope it'll eventually come to xbox
Soundtrack is so amazing
If you listen closely to Reflection of the Moon at some parts, you can hear a clock ticking :(
All of these are bangers holy

Oh dang nooo 😭. Sad sad sad indeed
Ancient is so solemn and somber, like a dirge and religious marching song combined.
Thats so true as the outer expanse is still intact, just lonely.
Task slaps so hard goddamn
Absolutely godly.
Magic artwork guys ^^
I would just like to point out that the added tracks make a longer ost video than the entirety of the base game.
Oh my god Orange Lizard goes so hard
Metropolis instantly best threat theme
Yes, yes indeed
Which one
@@Nikowo1610 idk I like both. Pretty similar vibes
honestly, some of this reminds me of minecraft's ost... imagine how nostalgic rain world's music will be in 10 years... with all the bittersweet, sad, and adventurous songs. ESPECIALLY 41:28, 2:00:09, 1:24:31, and even the first song
This is a gift from the gods 🙏🏽
1:38:34 for a second I thought that was the Hotline Miami 2 results theme
Am i the only one who has this at the top of recomendations after every video? Even after watching it fully.
2:00:05 ancient is pretty good
Tbh I love the open skies one the most! It sounds mysterious but also calming (to me at least-) and it is a nice soundtrack to listen to when your drawing or doing other things! Like if you agree that open skies is a good song :>
WE ARE VISITING ANCIENT SUPER CALCULATORS WITH THIS ONE🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Missed opportunity to call Moon threat "dark side" of the moon
Does anyone know which songs...
[SPOILERS BELOW]
Play during Rivulet's campaign when you get close to 5p's energy cell [it's a remix of the main theme], and when you're in the snow area after placing the energy cell in Moon's heart?
Can't seem to recognize them and trying to avoid Saint OST spoilers for now heheheheheheh
EDIT: I believe the song near 5p's energy cell is Sparkling Pendulum, still unsure on the Bitter Aerie song
EDIT 2: Bitter Aerie song is a muffled version of Garden
Sheer ice torrent goes hard
Still trying to find it in game sadly. I wish I knew where it played currently playing through Saints Campaign!
@@facecat1 really? I didn’t hear it there. I’ll probably end up over there soon anyways.
god i love satellite so much
Damn. I didn't know rain world had a banger music!
Lovely, I love you guys for making this!
Fire 🔥
I'm so surprised i haven't even heard most of the themes. I have no idea where they play. Like for example the first 2... Surely they aren't unused...
banger confirmed
metropolis night threat theme is the best prove me wrong
Assuming the songs are separated by campaign, which I don't know cause I haven't listened, it'd be nice if there were chapters for the new campaigns so that people who want to listen to certain music can without getting spoiled on songs for campaigns they haven't played. Like I haven't played Saint or Spear Master but I really want to listen to songs from Riv, Goudy, and Arty.
