  • Both countries speak English, but there are many differences in the words we use. In this British vs American English video @LizZorab and I had lots of laughs discussing the vocabulary we use.

Welcome to our Plan Bee! After 20 years of successful careers in the Los Angeles area we moved to rural Missouri and are taking steps to become more self-sustaining on our homestead. I break down all the farmy things into small manageable steps so you can start homesteading wherever you are.
We homestead on 2.5 acres in the Missouri Ozarks, and our garden hardiness zone is 6B.
Our weekly videos break down farming and gardening into small manageable steps so you can make the transition towards self sufficiency and food sustainability without being overwhelmed!
I garden in the Missouri Ozarks and am in hardiness zone 6B.

This was great! Wahtuh...like in New England, is similar to Liz's version. Here in New England, we say door yard "dooh yahd"(which is where you park your car). The yard is where the grass is. You don't hear it as much anymore, but when I was a kid, any carbonated drink like Coke or Pepsi, was called Tonic. Now most say soda.

This was so great to watch. Thank you so much for the laugh! I watch British decorating shows and they say a "home is homely". I did not understand at first until I watched a while and they meant "homey".

The original Aubergine are the little white ones that are mostly grown in Asian countries and they look like eggs, hence Eggplant :D :D :D All the others were pretty much developed from that plant. Brilliant !!!
