Khan Academy: "Nobody’s born smart. We all start at 0. Can’t talk, can’t walk, certainly can’t do algebra. Adding, reading, writing, riding a bike. Nobody’s good at anything at first. There was a time when Einstein couldn’t count to 10. And Shakespeare had to learn his ABCs just like the rest of us. Thankfully, we are born to learn. Slowly. Surely. You stumble, slip, crawl, fall and fail and fall. Frustrating. Confusing. Trying. Struggling. Until one day, you walk. One foot in front of the other. One idea on top of the next. Each wrong answer making your brain a little bit stronger. Failing is just another word for growing. And you keep going. This. is. learning. It’s not that you don’t get it. I'm 22 years old, and I have come across the wrong teaching methods so far. Especially, in my high school years. Every English teacher that I met tried to learn English by memorizing words, reading a lot, solving problems, filling the gaps, etc. You know it. But they haven't pointed out the importance of speaking and communication. I see the importance of communication through learning English with myself. We have always been scared of making mistakes and talking about anything. They said to us that you have to be excellent while you are speaking. However, there is a misconception. Because most people don't speak perfectly their first language, why do I have to speak perfectly? After many years, I noticed it, and now I focus on speaking, practicing every single day. Furthermore, I don't care about making mistakes because I'm a human...

One thing that I learned and I will never forget is: Language is alive. So what you said makes all sense because, in fact, language is about people. I've been struggling a lot to develop my english skills, mainly speaking and listening, but sometimes I get myself frustrated cause it is like I will never be able to speak English fluently. Many books are not updated and using their grammar makes me feel like a robot. Thanks for your channel. 👏
Thank you very much , Christian! I've been watching your channel since 2019 and from that time your lessons has given a vast amount of new information and self-confidence. I started to speak more and more and more on the daily basis because of your motivation and my self-discipline plus my love to English language. This video is the fruitful one that will help me to go further. Thank you, Teacher!
Despite you teacher are probably not going to read this, I would like to add that International Exams are also designed by native speakers eager to find out the minimum amount of vocabulary and grammar structures necessary to be successful at understanding and communicating so that language learners can test their skills against a reduced situation of use. Also, I will take your advice of practising every day situations with native speakers and will pass it on to my students. A Big Thank You for all your work!
Christian, I would say what I like most in your channel are the melodies at the beginning and the end (exaggerating. There is great content here) Perfect choices!!
The best way to learn a language as spoken, in my own experience, is to live the language. I learned a lot more by natural, authentic communication than I did in a classroom or by, heaven forbid, watching RUclips tutorials. You make mistakes, correct where necessary, and then continue to live the language. It’s natural, communicative, and social. Less of the rambling as I now need to watch this video.

Wow - almost 60% of spoken English is made up of prefabricated idioms and colocations! That's more than I would have expected, and I'm a native speaker. It really does put the process of learning a language in a fresh light.
