UDO's approach to synth design is brilliant!
George is the BEST!!!! No other designer as informative, down to earth, humble, and GENIUS at the same time. Best of luck to UDO Audio. They deserve everthing great. Cheers. 🥳👋
Holy words .
Wow if this is their fifth appearance, that means it was five years ago that I was at Superbooth. I remember the Super 6 there. I really love what George and UDO do. His passion for synths really comes through in these beautiful instruments. That user-upgradable keybed is an awesome idea.
I just purchased the Super Gemini and love it. Glad to see a new U-D-O synth at Superbooth. These instruments are truly world class!
Amazing, would really love to get my hands on one of these. But as a Super 6 owner, I still love that synth to bits; it's great to see the team at UDO are continuing to show it some love, even in the wake of these upcoming mightier synths. Just the fact that they're doing big software updates is awesome, but that Super Touch 49 swappable keyboard option blew my mind!! Will definitely look into that when it's out. 😳 love your passion and dedication Mr George Hearn!! And to the whole team at UDO, keep up the great work!
Do these things have mod wheels? I see what looks like a pitch bend at the bottom left.
Oh man, that Jupiter 6 vibe needs to be an option!!! I know a lot of people would pay for that ;-)
This is a special time for synthesizers and friends.
Sounds amazing. Never disappoints with the demos. Love it.
Brilliant company and products.
Another literally super synth from UDO. Great concept and exceptional sound. Love it.
Wooow I need the poly aftertouch upgrade for my super 6
A very talented chap, both at making music and making music-makers.
How can somebody be so amazing? ❤
Absolutely beautiful
Love the new analog flavour so much
I literally think of the Gemini everyday knowing I'll never own one.😔
That dark Super 8 is dope! some orange accents and it looks a bit like a Jupiter 8 :D UDO's doing dope stuff, great layout like the old Roland synths
Very handsome synth, would be nice to add it to the current set-up
Whow, definitely have to visit their booth, kuch, bungalow this SuperBooth.
Wonderfull playing and sound
Lovely sound and beautiful design
Gonna wait for the super 8 black...
I love this demo!
Love the tune you're playing
I would love to see a drum machine from UDO
lovely machines, lovely company !
First! Can’t wait to see all the SB videos! 😊
Wow, love UDO.
Lovely patches indeed! Souns like the Omnichord should have sounded like.
That was a very nice little boards of Canada kind of performance!
Amazing instrument. I think The HUGE space above the keyboard, below the controls, is BEGGING for a slider control to turn this into a modern day CS80 ;-) Amazing as it is. This would be the cherry on the pie though ;-)
Super Gemini
Nah it should instead have been a pitch strip and a mod wheel.
Awesome new synth. That big empty space kindof leaves a lot of space for something like a ribbon, like the Gemini has. I guess it was too much of a hassle to completely redesign the dimensions of the synth to fit the super 8, so the dimensions of the Gemini were kept, but with fewer controls. Just guessing here :)
For me he already is on the same level as legends like Moog, Oberheim or Smith
Amazing! Really nice that they sell as well the keybed upgrade for the super 6, I wonder if the new ones come with it preinstalled? or is it a yes or yes upgrade? That tune played around 10:00-12:00 sound like magic dicovery game, Harry Potter earlier movies vibes!
George did it again. Solid. I waited a year for the first super 6 and did not regnet a second since arrival. They are amazing synths. Warm, Full, easy. Shall I stay loyal to my S6 or upgrade? Hmm
wish they had wider distribution in the US besides a couple boutique shops, my studio has no room for these, time for a new studio!!
I'd really like to see a 76-note version of the Gemini…. But this Super 8 may be their most compelling release yet!
A purchasable keyboard upgrade is an awesome idea.
5:43 really cool piece
14:00 Oooh, nice.
Wow? How amazing is the keybed and to be able to upgrade it on your own? Do you know if the new Super6 include it by default?
Nope, George said on the UDO forum that they're not plannng to change the stock Super 6
Damn, now I want them to make a Gemini or Super 8 desktop or Super 6 desktop voice expansion kit. For all us people who care not for playing keyboard.
great
There needs to be a desktop version of this. Sounds great!
George is such a treasure
I love this guy
So did I get it right? This is a super gémini cheaper ??
Would be great to see a compact desktop version of this one
Is it the same filter as the S6? Curious why I would upgrade. I hear the same sound as the S6. Also, the faders are smaller than the S6, which might make it hard to dial in sounds.
Saucy, very saucy
Why all the flyover country between the keyboard and the control panel? Did some customers ask for that? Personally, I'd want the opposite design.
Every time I hear a UDO synth I think Plaid must get their hands on one of these… almost like they’re tailor made for their music.
I hadn't thought of that but you're right. Every sound this synth makes sounds just like Plaid haha.
I think this guy likes warp artists.
Why everything is limited? 😅
small business just getting off the ground with only a couple of products? makes sense they'd try a few different cosmetic things without sacrificing product features and see how they fare.
Try opening a manufacturing business, it will change the way you look at the products you consume forever.
How can they call it portable with all those massive blank spaces? The Super 6 supports Poly AT, why did it not get a Poly AT keyboard? Oh yeah so they can sell a slightly upgraded version with the features it should have had in the first place so we can buy the previous one and the new one exactly as I predicted.
Is delay freeze available on Super 6?
Yes! It’s on the ring connection of the sustain pedal jack. Use a splitter, or plug halfway
@@georgehearn4651 thank you George God Bless You

One year waiting for my Super Gemini
?
@@dirkkeersmaekers4343They are a bit slow getting numbers to North American stores. I look at some shops in UK and mainland Europe and it says “In Stock”, but I look at Perfect Circuit in LA and it has said “backorder” for a long while.
Eh?
Hope it’s worth the wait.
@@Farold_Haltermeyer new forecast to arrive in Thomann 5 weeks, no forecast for alex4 and schneidersladen customers
anybody (in Germany and elsewhere?) already owning the gemini after more than one year everybody saying its brilliant, announcing and promoting and "testing" it and its not available - check retailers and even schneidersladen?- now they come along with another one before I even can get my hands on the gemini? That's it - Losing my religion...
I was in Andertons music the other day and I'm pretty sure I saw them in stock. They're based in the UK
@@stevenSouthpole562 good for the UK! over here everybody praises it without having played it personally. Since one year it's announced over and over again - now they launch a new baby in Germany - sceptical too buy something that had experienced no every day usage by customers for some time. I can already hear the echoes (firmware bug...tuning bug...bla bla)
I said this before, and I'll say it again. Send one of these to Richard Barbieri to program custom sounds for this instrument. Perhaps Don Solaris too.
Good lord! So much amazing stuff to process in this video! please let there be gun metal gray of the super 8. I know they call it black but it’s really gunmetal gray the super 6 in it is absolutely stunning. The blue to me makes it look so cheap. I can’t stand white and these other colors they’re using like the new arturia polybrute is so unappealing because of the khaki soccer mom color. if you’re in front of this every day, you want it to be beautiful.
exactly, the nu-PolyBrute is 90s Beige PC vibes 😂
My blue Super-6 does not look cheap.
More choice for the same sounds.
Brand elasticity at its best 😂
Sempre la solita minestra
Fossero tutte così le minestre…
If only it was analog oscillators.
No display, no dice. Sold my S6 due to no way to see your mod routings or patch names "F6" is not a patch name when working in studio with others. 3rd Wave and never looked back.
Remember when synths cost just over a grand, we even had large touch screens build in like on the Korg Triton? This could have been a 3rd of the size with a re-arrangement of knobs and sliders buttons and switches minus the huge blank space above the keyboard. Extremely thin sheet metal also. Sounded like a VSTi, really quiet demo, not very exciting. For £3,000 we can have a collection of super synth VSTi synths and effects much better sounding and still have pennies left.
Comparing a HUGE Japanese company to a minute UK startup??
Vst’s last only as long as a computer OS supports them. Hardware can last a lifetime. False equivalency.
What? The original Triton retailed for £1799 when it came out in 1999 (from the original Sound on Sound review). Adjusted for inflation that's £3300 in today's money, which is $4200 USD. Are you seriously arguing that having everything on a touchscreen on a hardware subtractive synth is better than having near knob-per-function control? The Jupiter 80 is exactly that, and while a superbly powerful synth, it's main weakness is the UI BECAUSE everything is in the touchscreen. I have a Super 6, and no, it's not 'thin' sheet metal. It's built like a freaking tank. I'd chuck it around on stage without a care in the world if I wasn't worried I'd scratch it!
The design looks like ‘caravan interior’ who designs these things! Awful!
????
Idk, I think it's gorgeous. In answer to your question, Axel Hartmann designed all the UDO synths. Same guy behind the Moog One, Waldorf Quantum, Virus TI Polar, Current Roland Fantoms, Always Andromeda and quite a few others.
