    In older Bibles "limp" referred to lack of yapp. The covers were trimmed to barely cover the text block.

    I really love this bible! I have the same one, but mine is a 232-c (with box and care insert). The price on my box is $5.50. No doubt this was a super nice bible to have back in the day (and now!).

    my RSV is printed by "Harper Row"... out of New York.. it looks similar to that bible. .red gilding...no ribbons. .a few painted pictures... but a little different....
    do You know anything about bibles published by "Harper Row"...?..

      I only know what I've picked up over the years flipping through them. Their quality is very high for the time, and they used to be printed by Eyre and Spottiswoode as well. Most of their editions were in the midsize range. At some point Harper became the parent company to several modern Bible brands.
