- I know I know, I caved in. But, the change isn’t as significant as you may thing. But with that said, yes, my the one has changed. But the leatherworker is the same, and the layout is the same. So what’s so different?

Dude, that one is amazing! Going to have to get one done in that leather from ICA. Thomas Nelson definitely makes my favorite NKJV layouts. That’s absolutely sweet Tim!
I have that Bible coming to my house today.
Definitely looking forward to it.
Love the words of Christ in blue.
The all should be that way for people that are color blind.
Why would colorblindness make a difference unless it was black/white colorblindness?
@@hotwax9376 From what I understand red can look like black.
Blue is more distinguishable for some people.
Humble lamb also agrees with that too they do the same thing.
I have the same text block in a regular leather, and it’s a fabulous item! It’s open and on my desk every day I am home.
My wife loved seeing all your excitement over this beautiful Bible. She hopes to get a premium Bible someday. Thank you for a fun video!
Just when I thought my wish list was winding down… 🤦♂️
Gorgeous Bible, ICA do fantastic work. Thanks for sharing with us.
I would love to see that blue letter. I never realized how much red letter tires my eyes. I don't think I even realized black letter Bibles existed. I adore my ESV Heritage, which is single column (another thing I didn't know I loved!) and black letter. It is such a different on my old, tired eyeballs. But you have me all curious about NKJV now. (Especially since you said it's not been updated in a while and won't be.)
That leather looks amazing
I love how excited you are about your new “the one”.
We are going on a road trip next month and I’m trying to decide which Bible or Bibles ☺️ I’m taking.
Take several!
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews excellent advice!
Always love seeing the rebinds can't wait until I can get one
Wow! Stunning!
Thank you, Brother Tim 🌹⭐🌹⭐🌹
It's a beauty!
Ooooh, a Horween ChromeExcel cover? That's amazing! Those of us Christians who are also shoe guys/gals are probably aware that Horween is arguably the best tannery in America. (And for those of you who don't know, they also supply leather for both NFL footballs and NBA basketballs; in fact, one of the family members that ran the tannery was a former NFL player).
Great color combination; really works well with the blue ink. Congrats!
Just ordered & will be here Wednesday. 🎉👵🏻👏🏻❤
Great minds think alike. I have John making the same Bible (different color combinations though) for me this week!!!
Looks like you got one!!
Very nice brother Tim,I like blue very much
great energy LOVE THIS CHANNEL! GOD BLESS
Thanks for another video! Looks like a great Bible! I can't decide if I like a full yapp or not. : )
It takes getting used to. It’s best on thin bibles.
Nice Bible.
My “the one” is and always will be the KJV. I’m using a Schuyler Personal Size Canterbury in Black Pearl Calfskin. That’s a nice little Bible.
Very nice....rebind is of great quality....
Horween or waxy Badalassi ?? Im right there with ya... love the whole package there !!
Badalassi is hard to beat, but this Horween takes the cake for me.
This looks really lovely, with words of Jesus in blue !! I just added it to my wish list. Not too expensive. Thank You :-)
That horween bible looks gorgeous
Maybe you could do an update on how this bible looks now. That leather is gorgeous.
This bible makes an appearance in many of my videos. :)
@anickelsworthbiblereviews Sorry for not knowing that. I watch way too many bible videos, LOL, and as a Catholic, there are SO many different Protestant bibles available that I'm having a hard time learning and remembering all the names, publishers, styles, etc. Throw rebinds and rebinders into the mix and my brain really struggles!
I must get ICA to do a rebind for me. I am a NASB95 guy, and I just bought the Zondervan Limited Edition SCR aka The Czar in the Bible world. This might be the perfect Bible to commission ICA to rebind.
That's great! I'm going to look into those reminders. I can't remember if you mentioned it in your Maclaren video but do you know if the leather soft has the exact same paper, etc. as the genuine leather from Thomas Nelson?
Yes, identical paper.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Awesome! Thanks!
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews One other quick question. Any reason then to get the leather edition instead of the leather soft edition to get rebound? For example, end sheets not conducive to rebinding etc.?
Nah. There’s no reason to spend the extra.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews 10-4. Thanks again!
Very Nice!
For me, it'll probably be the Cambridge Cameo with Apocrypha text block with either lambskin or kangaroo skin - either in burgandy and a zipper
Nice! 🤩
No question Thomas Nelson Maclaren series are tops in premium Bibles. I prefer the NASB95 as my go-to with NKJV as an alternate. I have one Maclaren and dearly wish you could get a NASB 95 that’s as nice. Nobody comes close…I have Schuyler, Cambridge, etc…not close. The other Bible manufacturers almost certainly loose sales to Nelson because you easily find any layout you want as value or premium as you want…not so with any other.
My "the one" has morphed into "the one ... for now".
Is there a link to purchase this 👀 Bible. Love that leather
You can go to his Facebook page or his website and he can make one for you. Ica Bibles on Facebook or:
icabibles.com
WOW.WOW.WOW!!
We need an update!!!!
Been thinking about this.
Yeah, I’d love a quick update on the leather.
Would you recommend ICA or Floresh? Both look great. I’m ordering the same Bible (blue print) and have it recovered.
Depends on your budget and how long you want to wait. Floresh will be a little cheaper and faster. ICA is more seasoned and offers more options.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews great. Thank you for the info. ICA it is. Love the detail as you described. Definitely worth it.
I’m also going to recover my Henry Morris KJV Bible too. I have it in calfskin leather but I can see it in a ICA cover.
Have you done a review on this Bible?
Never even seen it.
‼️HELP‼️ I want this exact Bible!! Where can I get it and EXACTLY what do I ask for❓❓❓❓❓❓
ICA Bibles. Burgundy Horween. NKJV Maclaren Thinline.
Looking for a NKJV, single column, verse by verse, center or gutter reference with colored accents, and comfort print. It seems the closest I can get has edge reference. Do you know if there are any new editions coming out?
The just released an inside column reference in single column.
Tim, can you please leave a link to the exact Bible you are reviewing with the full yap horween leather? Thank you
It is a custom rebind.
Tim do you know if the Maclaren thinline Leathersoft block is 36 GSM as well as a rebind donor or do I need to get the genuine leather?
It is indeed!
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews🙂👍
Great review… I’m new here to your channel. Where can I find the ICA series bibles?
He is a custom rebinder. He has a website www.icabibles.com or you can find him on Facebook at Ica Bibles.
Thank you sir!
"Easy Ned, think of the bible..."
OK then…
It's a Simpsons quote :)@@anickelsworthbiblereviews
I know. I googled it, much to my regret. 😂😂😂😂
Sorry to ask this but how do I find the one with the red liner in it?
That’s the work of Ica Bibles. He has a website and you can find him easily on Facebook.
www.icabibles.com
When will this bible be available to purchase?
The Maclaren Thinline is available now. See the link in the description. The cover however is custom work from ICA Bibles.
New here to the channel. So, how do I go about buying the Bible with the blue accents that he was showing?
These are my Amazon Afilliate links to the Bible. (Text block not rebind.)

@@anickelsworthbiblereviewsExcellent, thank you so much. Pardon my ignorance, but how would I go about getting it rebind with the full yap like the one you were showing?
@edgardocenteno you can go to Ica Bibles Facebook page or his website at icabibles.com
@@anickelsworthbiblereviewsThanks again!
No problem!
Is this available in the Lord's NASB? 🤔
The Maclaren no, but there are many fabulous NASBS.
Can’t wait to see if I know!!!
What is ICA?
It stands for In Christ Alone. He is a custom Bible rebinder.
Phew! For a minute I thought you were being unfaithful, but it's basically your 'one' in a new dress 🙂
Exactly! And has some new little accents under the dress.
Yikes…that sounded way worse than I meant it to.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews 🤣🤣🤣
Scratces? there will be plenty!
I have a scarred goatskin that is an original. Scars give it character and then if I make a scratch I don't go ballistic.
I sent my bible to ICA bibles for rebind in August because he said he was taking orders for January. they took my money. Can’t get them to respond to me. So disappointed not sure what happened. I hope they are ok. Heart broken lost my bible. PayPal at least refund my money. He seemed so nice and I was excited. My parents gave me the money for my bible rebound it was for my birthday.
I made a video addressing this.
@ where do I find it?
@@anickelsworthbiblereviewsI just to tell you I was not blaming you at all. Thanks for making the follow up video. But I ran across this months ago if only I knew. Please continue to do reviews. God bless you and keep you in his will!
Ya can’t have a “new” the one lol. Either it’s the one or it isn’t ma dude lol
OK.
I clicked on this vid because I thought it would be about Bible translations. I’m sorry, but there’s something sick about salivating over the features of a particular edition and binding. It’s the Bible. It’s God’s Word. Don’t cheapen it by adding consumer gimmicks. And Mr Nickels/Nichols, please don’t feed a consumer mentality among Christians.
Get a Bible, read and use it until it won’t hold together any more, then get another. Choose your translation carefully; make sure above all else that it’s an accurate translation with a minimum of interpolation. Stay clear of single-translator versions as your primary version. Cross-references are useful, but if you cant work out what Jesus said without having the text in a different colour, you’ve got reading problems and you’re valuing some words of God’s Word above other words that are just as much God-breathed.
A soft binding is often easier to handle, but it’s not essential. I’d rather pay less for my Bible and lose out on the “go-faster” gimmicks, and be less distracted by the packaging. Just the Word of God, complete and without unnecessary adornment, that’s all I need. For cross-refs, commentary etc, there are plenty of Bible apps for phone or computer. Just give me the Word.
I have many translation videos. In fact, just recently I posted one. I’ve also got several videos featuring the multiple translations I’ve read. Check them out. I hear what you are saying, I just disagree. If you have a bible you are excited about you are going to use it. Think about it. Blessings.
If you buy a bible for it’s materials and don’t read/use it, then you have a valid response. You are making an assumption about Tim because he is excited about a new Bible. A well constructed Bible that lasts a lifetime and wears it’s battle scars proudly is a gem to behold.
A man who "caves in" to God's Word is wise man indeed.
