Thanks for making this video. The best part of this is the way you patiently work with your daughter to show her how to do things for herself. Good job!
I have been doing mine every 75 hours since new . Oil has never been too dirty . It's a pain , takes me all day to take apart fill and put together. 325 hours so far so good . I use synthetic
Good Video! It helped me to change the hydrostatic transmission oil in my RZ4621. My oil was not as brunt as yours. I used Mobil 1 Advanced 5W-50 Full Synthetic oil and both sides turn the same now.
I love this I have looked all over trying to find a video on my husqvarna stumbling on this one ur daughter is the best I have twing girls and the one is always tugging one of my tools along with me kodos too u dad
I have found changing the oil only helps a bit. It is best in the long run if your ztr is in good shape Buy a new Pump unless you like wasting your time.
I saw you say you replaced the guts on the pump 7 months ago-ish? Any improvement this season? I’m about to start down this same rabbit hole and wonder if I should just buy new pumps to begin with?
I would not. I think if I was to do it again I would have been just as well off to have taken it apart polished the plates (super cheap) and seen how that got me along!!!... I put all new guts ( near 400 bucks ) but its very tight with new springs and even though I feel I did a stellar job (and have had scag training on rebuilding one) I must have scratched the plates.... It is better but still sh*tty in comparison to the other side and I will eventually replace the whole chunk.
And that is why when someone says "maintenance free" I say bull poop" only with less restraint on wording. Seems like. Fresh oil change every season to every other season would have forestalled this wear and tear.
I wish I had an awesome answer for you. I went ahead last year and bought the guts and rebuilt the whole hydraulic part. I have shared this video however I feel like I did a good job you can watch and see what you think but it's still a piece of crap and is laggy compared to the other side. This year I'm going to fill it with a thickener Lucas Oil stabilizer to be exact in the hopes that it will run consistently due to being a much thicker fluid and or blow the side out and I exact my revenge but if there is no win there I feel like this year I will buy the whole $600 ish assembly and call it a day.

The best play-by-play announcer and camera person ever!
Great helper. Everyone needs a faithful helper at our side.
Thanks for the video on removal. I am replacing my right side this weekend. I purchased a new hydro gear from eBay for 650.

Your daughter was cracking me up narrating the procedure.

how about a clear or rubber hose on a bottle with tip . Cut bottom of bottle for funnel. I like clear hose cause can see flow and bubbles.
Just be careful not to overfill it there should be maybe an inch, inch and a half of air.
You doing great thanks alots

Should park on top of a tarp so you don’t loose anything I find it easier that way
I have a husqvarna zero turn with both black hoses on both side how do I check the hydraulic fluid
Good information camera made me dizzy though.😂

You mentioned at the end of this video that this process didn't actually fix your problem. Did you ever get it fixed? I'm having the same issues.

turn you phone sideways and dont use stupid filter
Poor video, too lazy to remove the tire. Children should not be in video. Both talking over each other.
Said he couldn't get the lug nuts off you didn't have to watch it.
I think haveing his daughter with him is educational and first class father maybe u should take some lessons from him on simply being a decent human.
