- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2012 Audi A6 3.0T Prestige. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
This design doesn't age, anyone would think its a 2016 model

Both very reliable, but the BMW is more expensive to fix. Just don't bring it to a dealer.
I disagree. I can see a lot of prominent differences between the 2012 and 2016 Audi A6 ranging from the wheels to the restyled headlamps and newly aluminum looking grille. However, for a person without a trained eye like mine or for a person who doesn't know about cars could easily become fooled between the model years of each Audi A6.

Eleven years ago today! Still my dream car.
This 3.0t is possibly one of the smoothest forced induction motors I have driven. I personally like the BMW N55 motor more, feels more raw and makes a better exhaust and engine sound, but for smoothness this engine is amazing!
Its also slower ...the audi is faster and none of that bmw 2 second delay qith the supercharger. Ive owened vehicles with from both rbands , i moved to audi.
How is that possible? The Audi got V6 while BMW got inline 6

I drove one of these. Was one of the best cars I've ever driven. It was so quiet, so comfortable, the steering was absolutely flawless, and even with all that technology and comfort, there was still plenty of power. And this isn't and S or RS model. Beautiful car, I can only hope I can afford one at some point.

A good Audi A6 with low mileage costs as much as a new Accord.
Audi, BMW, Benz hold value. I thinking getting 2013 A6 next year used under 50k miles.
get them when you're financially stable you don't want a broke down audi sitting in the garage because you can't afford the repairs.
A 10 year Audi is only worth about 10-15% of it's new value (if you're lucky).

Note for the MMI. The cursor position is opposite what the MMI cursor knob selection is. If you twist the cursor knob clockwise the selected function will rotate opposite as in right to left or bottom to top....not one of the better designs but oh well. The Hard drive JukeBox is nice, load your music to the JukeBox and leave the USB drives at home.
Google Map overlay is nice but subscription required...it can even move the overlay into the center instrument panel to keep eyes on road!
The wiper service position is nice for blade changes!
I like the regular moonroof not the newer twin panels.

It's obviously a car dedicated for exhibition and test drives. This is the car they'll give to everyone who wants to test drive an A6.
Oh my gosh this is beautiful. I saw one in Germany for the first time, and those headlights REALLY make the look pop. I've always liked Audis and they just keep getting better. Great work as always man.

That's actually one of my more realistic dream cars, haha. I actually drove one. It was indeed a very nice car. Quite a while back though when I drove that, can't remember much as far as how it felt, I just remember it was one of the quickest and most responsive cars I've ever driven at the time!
you know you don't have to talk to like a robot to the MMI. it understands regular speech (most of the time)

@Dodek72 Why not? It's not like you need the start button all the time. In fact you only need it twice every drive, to turn the car on and to turn it off. All the other media controls are used much more frequently while driving.

night vision is just something they put in to sell the car. im not saying its crap technology, but if you have a good set of light bulbs upfront you shouldnt even need night vision assist. unless you were watching someone in the dark or something and dont want to be spotted.
For any fans of the Audi 3.0T you should check out Jaguar's 3.0L supercharged V-6. It's actually quite similar to the Audi 3.0 in that they're both supercharged 90-degree 3.0L V-6s. The Jaguar V6 is actually based on their 5.0L AJ-V8. The Jaguar V6 is extremely smooth similar to the Audi 3.0T and it also has one of the best exhaust notes you will ever see in a V6 engine, just check it out in the F-Type!
This cars design has aged extremely well despite being over ten years old now. My grandma's friends husband has a 2012 A6 TDI (white exterior, beige interior) that he bought new ten years ago & has been a pretty good car for the most part with some problems as expected for a german vehicle, but nothing too serious.
I'm either getting this or a Bimmer 5 Series in white fuck Mercedes E Class it's hateful looks wise

I own this car with night vision. I was taking a trip in WA state on these back roads and passed a Mini Cooper being driven by a flattened out bill ball cap teenage idiot. Always amazes me when young guys with all that testosterone trying to impress their little girlfriends always get destroyed by us older guys who have been there and done that. Its like the Viagra commercial where us older guys have this attitude like U know what? GFY. Then we sit at the light and make that idiot look fn stupid. Welp, that is exactly what happened. I passed him, then he dropped back about a half mile….LMAO. I watched him get is Mini up to stupid speed from a half mile back while I chilled at about 70 mph and watched him pass me. No doubt he was thinking he destroyed me, the fact is he was a a little idiot with no clue.
Its like the movie from back in the days called "Colors" Let's run down the hill and screw that real fine one said the young guy. The older guy says screw that, let's walk down and screw all of them!
I'm that young guy in the mini but one day I'll have a Benz S550 AMG to race, then I'll look at the guys younger then me trying to boast with there 20k cheap models

My mom has this car and it takes off so quickly! The 3.0t is definitely the engine to get for this car, despite the almost $10k jump in price.

I recently bought the rare TDI version of this at a great price and was not disappointed. It has a smooth yet powerful ride and the interior feels like a hotel lounge. I will be adding Google Auto and Apple Car Play to make it complete.

In most cars, if you press it once it only opens the driver's door. Press twice to open all 4 doors. I'm guessing that's why he does it.

My father had a first generation one, 2.5TDI. Fantastic fuel economy and ran like a charm.
This refresh really crept up on me, I noticed a refresh not so long ago on the A6 that saw the rear lights slim down and become LED, but this is a major redesign, and I think it's beautiful.
The new headlamps have the LED (A8) treatment, keeping Audi's reputation for innovation in lighting fresh and valid.
I just wish Audi would slow down and think about their products before releasing more, there's so many now with the (seemingly) random product refreshes, I can't tell which version is which!

Yeah, I have had mine for about a year now. Everything on that car is great. Audi built their car so well. Compared to my last car, which was a mercedes ML, the audi had no rattles. The ml after a year was falling apart and over that same year I had to go to repair it 3 times. I do have to say though, Audis are great cars, but they have a big price tag and the dealers don't give you too much off.

My aunt and uncle drive this car. It's a really nice car. It is old because it is 11 years old now. It has 113,000 miles which is a lot. It's leather but I don't like leather and it is has a nice stereo. This car looks just like the one my aunt and uncle drive. They bought a new A6 a 2023 one and I prefer the car a bit more I'm not gonna lie. But I like the 2013 version also. The A6 is my dream car.
A7 is my favorite Audi by far. Love the design, and the R8 of course :)
Pretty detailed video, but it should've been cut down to 10 minutes. Half of the video was overexposed (plenty of ghostly white fingers) and the voice-over sounded tinny and weak, as if you were actually using the crappy mic on the camcorder. It was actually pretty annoying with all of the jerky camera moves. Do we really need to look at cup holders? Maybe you should concentrate on getting good shots, then color correct and edit, and add voice over using a good mic. Add some action shots.

Also, still having a hard time determining if the Bang Olufsen option for $5900 is really worth it over the stock BOSE system.
Rather odd that it produces 310 HP @ 5500 RPMs. When there's a rev limiter, holding it down to 4,000 RPMs. I wonder how much horsepower it has at 4,000 RPMs.Because you'll never be able to drive it at 5500 RPMs.
Audi started the Bang & Olufsen trend and the LED headlights. Damn these other automakers are trying to catch up to what Audi was doing years ago!!

This car reminds me of my 2017 VW Passat. I love Passats , I also have a 2008 Passat Kormfort than I might keep and customize with new wheels and some engine mods!

On the one hand U.S. regulations require these marker lights, on the other hand additionals turn signals on the side are not mandatory, neither are amber rear turn signals (to seperate them from rear and brake lights and keep turn signals and hazards in one color throughout the vehicle). On other vehicles I noticed the front turn signals close to the center, while they should be at the corners. These issues compromise traffic safety, some of your regulations seem irrational and random to me...

Audis are quality cars, but I really don't appreciate how every Audi since 2005 has come out looking the same. Their designers must be so bored.
