    Another great review Rich. I hope I didn't fall into the "Fluff Review" category but I have to say I have been suspect of the few I had watched. Especially when they show off projects that seemed to be much larger and cleaner then what this machine could actually do. I also ran into the issue with the SD card and the location of it. I did happen to find it's location from the owners manual as there is a tiny picture that does show it once. It wouldn't have helped either way as the only thing on it was the camera calibration file so everything else had to be installed from the website, at least for me.

      *No Ryan! I actually really enjoyed your video; you're better at making videos than I am!* 🤪But most of the ones I watched, with the exception of 3 were indeed fluff, or users with no experience. BTW, I have subbed your channel at least 4 times now. I don't know why it doesn't stick! Just had to sub again!

      @@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Thanks for the sub! I thought I was subscribed to you as well since I see your videos all of the time but I guess I was wrong, just subbed as well.

    Loved the review! I have been deep diving in all of your videos and find them very educational. I do have one question for you, what photo editor do you use? I saw one of your videos where you were doing a pic of your dog in an editor for masking. I have been searching for one but am struggling to find one that suits me. Thanks again for all your advice and knowledge

    I know I’m getting fairly picky with this comment. I really like the slowly scrolling list on the side of the screen. But the red outline or shadow (to my old eyes) actually makes the text harder to read. Otherwise, it’s a great honest review.

    Thanks, Rich, for this review. I know nothing about diode lasers and liked all the detail you put into this. A question maybe you or someone else can answer. Which county or city office would you check with to see if allowed at a craft fair? I'm in Iowa. I'd hate to rely on an event coordinator to know or say it's okay but it's not. Thanks.

    • @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
      @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy  9 месяцев назад +1

      I don't know about Iowa Maggie, but here in Louisiana, it's code enforcement where I live. However, if I go 5 miles west, to the City of Gretna, it's the permit department at City Hall. Every county or city will have their own requirements and own department that handles it. City Hall is where I would start, and if they don't handle it, they will tell you who does. Some counties/cities in the USA don't have any regulation at all, but that's pretty rare. Keep in mind that the venue will also be involved in the decision. So even if the City might allow it, the venue may not. Whatever you do, *DON'T* take the venues approval as permission! They won't know the local regulations! Typically, you'll probably only be able to do it in open air venues.

    Good morning, my friend. How are you and how is the weather in Louisiana?
    This is our second day covered in snow in Maryland, and the kids are enjoying it so much 😁 Dear Rich, I have a problem with my laser? When you issue a sentence engraving command, the laser diode remains on continuously. Which leads to drawing straight lines between words.
    For your information, I use Lightburn. I know that your time is valuable and always busy, and I ask for your help. Thank you for all the valuable information you provide on this wonderful channel 🙏

    Hi Rich I am a papercrafter and do a number of shows and wanted to add laser engraved and cut items. I am going to purchase Roly in the spring but i have to make space etc so I ordered this to start my laser journey. I know you said you used your 10 watt library for the Roly and i was wondering if you could share for a starting point for me. I ordered 4 or 5 days ago but no word yet on shipment. I got the air purifier as well and emailed them to see where we could get replacement filters and it has been 4 days and no response so I am a bit concerned about their service but time will tell. Cant wait to get my Roky in a few months!

    I have been watching your videos about the TTS-55 Pro, and I have a couple questions about this machine. Can this particular laser engrave anodized aluminum? I just got this machine less than 2 weeks ago. I have been selling wooden stuff but was asked about anodized aluminum tags. Please any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
      @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, absolutely. It cannot engrave aluminum, but any laser can remove the anodized coating.
