“What’s the deal with all the pre-interviews? Are you calling me to interview me, or are you calling me to pre-interview me? And if you’re calling me. Isn’t that kinda the pre-interview? Or is that the pre-pre-interview?”
This was real, this was brilliant!! Seinfeld was hilarious as usual and he's right, Seth doesn't get enough credit, not only about the card but also for dealing with curve balls like this without pandering to the guest. Clear talent :)
The funny thing is, this interview is most likely the product of a pre-interview...open the public's eyes, set this show apart from the typical talk show etc. Jerry is a very smart man - he knows how hard it is, and how much of the comedic creation goes un-noticed. I give him the credit of making it look improvised, in the interest of revealing something great and special about his fellow comedian.
***** You know, the problem with the "outro" isn't the music: it's the fact they have Meyers standing there like an exhibit in a wax museum, just leering out at you. It's unsettling. So long as they keep that, people's minds will jump to the music they hear and think it's the problem, when what they really need to do is switch it up with some enticing footage that gets their audience to click over to another segment they've shot.
Has nothing to do with being super rich and successful. Have you ever watched Seinfeld? He’s literally acting exactly like he would if he was on the show. This is jerry Seinfeld. It always has been jerry Seinfeld. Is it a crime to admit that he doesn’t want to be on a talk show? If he were nice and did the song and dance then Seth Myers would have proceeded to beg him to come back. Seth Myers is like a dirty piss stenched cat. If you feed him he’ll just keep coming back.
Love his sense of humor. He over analyzes situations and is so blunt. In real life that would be so rude. Imagine saying to a server... "Look at the plate and tell me what you see?" Waiter - "I don't see anything sir" Jerry- "Exactly!" I ordered my food 30 minutes ago. ". Are you killing the cow, or are you cooking it yet?" Funny on show, rude in real life.

You want to know what makes Jerry an asshole? The fact that he always calls Seinfeld "MY show" and talks about how HE was number one and HE was the best on television and all that. Contrast him with Larry David, the other 50% of the show. Without Larry, there wouldn't have even been a show. When Larry left after season 7, the show changed. The jokes were forced and cheap compared to before. You never hear Larry go on about himself like Jerry does. There are tons of interviews with Larry and he's actually a modest, genuine, and humble guy. Jerry actually sickens me as a human being.
Jerry wouldn't be where he is without Larry David. Larry has been on each talk show exactly once (twice with letterman, Leno). That makes what, 8 appearances max? Why is jerry doing this? Chill out Jerrry.
Seth, this is one of your best celebrity interviews!! It is always a joy to watch a Jerry Seinfeld interview. Should be awkward but you got through it, I love it!!! ;) Hay, Jerry is always funny and witty. Thanks for really trying to get him on to your show. Very nice!! :)
Jerry sounds like Bill Murray's character in groundhog day. Is like he cracked the code, understood that we are living in a pointless repetition and simply dont give a f about anything.
In spanish there is a saying that goes like this, "The biggest truths are told jokingly", so based off that, Jerry Seinfeild has always been a jerk, and will continue to be that way.
Seth seems to be taking after Craig Ferguson and the way he did late night, slowly but surely... He's leaving the cue cards behind (Ferguson's trademark was ripping up the cards before interviews), and the way how he handled the Vanity Fair cover was eerily reminiscent of the way Craig reacted to Brittney Spears and her issues at the time. Would be epic if this trend continues.
I love JS but he's not getting any younger and sounds a bit as a grumpy old man. I'd like to see him surprise us all with a better attitude. The "I'm the successful one" is getting a bit worn out.
I came back to this video to make a statement. This interview ruined every other interview I saw from the day I watch this one. It just lost the magic 😂
It's interesting that Larry David is still killing it every time he appears somewhere, Jerry on the other hand, you keep wondering how did he ever make it as comedian. I guess that's why he is pissed to come to he shows, let him go enjoy his money and life he has thanks to Larry
People who bash Jerry just don’t get it..he’s passed the point of being fake. He doesn’t need to be anymore. He’s so legendary at this point he can be real. That’s what I wanna see, realness.
The whole point of Seinfeld is that it is a cast of characters who would be extremely unlikeable under normal circumstances, but we love them, because we all feel the same way, since deep down we are all terrible.

Seth took a lot of insults smilingly; Jerry don't leave your manners in the car.
He never actually insulted Seth or at least not directly.
they're doing a bit together, and they're good actors so you bought it
@@GlennDavey No, it is not a bit. Jerry is infamous for being rude, obnoxious and a diva at the expense of others around him.
He wasn't insulting Seth
@@jayhartbarger2793 Yes, unfortunately. But Larry David managed to work with him (until he couldn't take it anymore and started "Curb"), nevertheless Larry David built Seinfeld's success and fortune for him. The guy can't act, doesn't write good material (in my opinion), and would still be floundering about in stand-up were it not for the brilliance of Larry David.
This would be pretty funny if I didn't happen to know that Jerry Seinfeld really is quite full of himself.
Exactly.
What's with the porn music at the end?
sottotitolifattibene Jerry and Seth fucked in the end.
sottotitolifattibene I guess it was a long time since you watched porn? Quality porn do not have music.
pettypettywoodchuck2 Cumedians
Vendetta042 Touché
there goes that enormous ego from Mr. Seinfeld...
That’s some gold humor. Loved it.
Even if it was all joke but insults were really hard to take, all credit to Seth 😃😃
I applaud jerry for giving credit to seth when he mentioned he doesn't have a card/cheat sheet.
He had to say one nice thing to break the tension of him being a jerk. It's like he reminded himself...."hey, this is supposed to be a FUN show "
It's true.. He doesn't have to be there.. He has nothing to prove.. He made me laugh for years.. Thank you!
It's money. All about money.
This guy is always rude wtff...... stop having him Seth!
they're doing a comedy bit for you, it's like Curb Your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld. don't take it literally.
Watching Seinfeld interviews has taught me that Seinfeld is probably the most irritating famous guy.
@@khalif1991 spot on
I love the guitar music when the video ends, on the end slate part. That echo is awesome, so 80s.
Brilliant.
Craig Ferguson went without the cue cards for the last few years of The Late Late Show as well, I cant applaud that enough
I'm glad to know about the pre-interview, I can't really watch talk shows the same after I found out about this.
“What’s the deal with all the pre-interviews? Are you calling me to interview me, or are you calling me to pre-interview me? And if you’re calling me. Isn’t that kinda the pre-interview? Or is that the pre-pre-interview?”
Graham Norton does it like that - no pre-show interviews, Graham is prepared to engage his guests. Best talk show anywhere
I agree. But in part, I think it's because of the set-up: so many guests at the same time, allowed to interact easily together.
It takes a lot to speak frankly for the sake of the media and Jerry did it perfectly here.
Brian Davis this is Gold baby lol
A younger Jerry wouldn't even dream of making the sort of statements he's been making recently at this point in his life though , just saying ...
Brian Davis No, he was just arrogant. Too successful to be mortal.
drServitis You might wanna repeat that one more time. Not sure everyone heard you.
+randomnameee i like the zero fucks given as a nice change of pace
Glad Seth stood up for his producer
Seth is a compassionate, truly funny comedian!
He’s got a point. It’s why Eric Andre is so good
And why celebrities willingly subject themselves to that lol
Jerry is so great here. Thanks for this.
Since when did they changed the ending music?
***** Thank God they did. That music was annoying as hell.
SuperPOTATOSMASHER it still is
***** The old music was so much better.
Joe Burns It was too loud. It suddenly starts at the end. Its dangerous with the ear buds on.
Hey Jerry, that whole, "I'm so super-rich and successful that I don't need to be here," routine is getting a little old.
@@cornpop3315 He’s an asshole and that’s that.
Love his sense of humor. He over analyzes situations and is so blunt. In real life that would be so rude. Imagine saying to a server... "Look at the plate and tell me what you see?"
Waiter - "I don't see anything sir"
Jerry- "Exactly!" I ordered my food 30 minutes ago. ". Are you killing the cow, or are you cooking it yet?"
Funny on show, rude in real life.
Wow. The video really lives up to the title.
Is it just me or does Seth Meyers and Anna Kendrick look exactly alike?
Imagine if they reproduced. Their kid would look so much like... That. That, you know, way
Huh. I see it
How is somebody like Jerry so unhappy? He has everything 😶😑
more money more problems.
he isn't unhappy. he understands the misery of the world and has found a way to laugh through it. but he doesn't pretend it doesn't exist like most people.
@@nryanmusic Comedy comes from misery
Some may not know it, but this is actually the real jerry. Surly and mildly humorous.
Sort of like Jerry Lewis.
agreed. he is an egotist ..mean ..makes fun of his own fans.. thinks he is better than literally everyone. its awful when you start to see the real person.
@@danf4447 More like not humorous. I don't find him funny at all, which is probably the reason, I have never watched his sitcom or any of his sitcom routines. I wouldn't even be able to pick him out of a lineup.
@@andrew66862shut up you old bag
So true.@@danf4447
Jerry owes Seth dinner for the suit.
It looks like Seinfeld's got a 5 o'clock fu manchu mustache growing.
Chill out Jerrry.
karhip1993 I see what you mean and I agree. But in all fairness, Larry wouldn't be where he is without Jerry as well.
Yikes to feel as if you're above other people because "your time is more valuable then theirs" really shows how disconnected he is
Seth, this is one of your best celebrity interviews!! It is always a joy to watch a Jerry Seinfeld interview. Should be awkward but you got through it, I love it!!! ;) Hay, Jerry is always funny and witty. Thanks for really trying to get him on to your show.
Very nice!! :)
Oh Jerry, ¿how can you even walk around with such a high hat?
If someone gave you a transcript of this episode to read, you'd swear a serious fistfight erupted along the way.
Jerry sounds like Bill Murray's character in groundhog day. Is like he cracked the code, understood that we are living in a pointless repetition and simply dont give a f about anything.
Jerry acting like he’s still hot enough to be acting like lil how
My favorite seth meyers interview
In spanish there is a saying that goes like this, "The biggest truths are told jokingly", so based off that, Jerry Seinfeild has always been a jerk, and will continue to be that way.
There's a saying just like that in English, it goes "many a true word is spoken in jest"
He's not going to pretend to be humble and gracious, he's playing a character and Seth is playing with him
2:25 he says he owes nothing to anyone. well... he kind of owes his entire carreer to larry david lol
Jerry has really become a cranky old man lol
He’s so full of himself
Lol i think you're allowed to be when you have a tv show named after yourself that's been rated among the best ever even two decades after it ended
The worst.
@@stephiis8882 Uh, no, you're not. No one's entitled to feel better than someone else because of anything.
Stephii S sorry nobody is watching some old man show
Zach Diotte that’s it? That’s pathetic numbers by today’s standards.
It’s like that guy who asks you to dinner, but secretly wants you to ask him about himself all night! 😄 Hey man, you asked ME to be here! 😂
I love JS but he's not getting any younger and sounds a bit as a grumpy old man. I'd like to see him surprise us all with a better attitude. The "I'm the successful one" is getting a bit worn out.
I like Jerry more and more, when he calls them out.
"I OWE NOTHING TO ANYONE!" hahaha.
it's just funny
Except your career to, y'know, Larry David.
This is the most I have ever watched Seth Meyers. I may try to watch another clip next year. Maybe.
The entire clip was like a Seinfeld episode - humor over nothing. Brilliant!
"Do you get credit for no cards?"
Somewhere Craig Ferguson said "Do I mean NOTHING TO THESE PEOPLE!?" What do you think Geoff?"
Oh goodness, Jerry is going to be such a fantastically cynical old man, each year he gets more jaded and it's wonderful!
Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t look like he’s 61 in this clip but he is.
That's why I loved Craig Ferguson and the late late show, it seemed the most improvised and "real".
So true.
People who bash Jerry just don’t get it..he’s passed the point of being fake. He doesn’t need to be anymore. He’s so legendary at this point he can be real. That’s what I wanna see, realness.
Even when it's truly ugly?
wow wow
new ending music
NICE
The whole point of Seinfeld is that it is a cast of characters who would be extremely unlikeable under normal circumstances, but we love them, because we all feel the same way, since deep down we are all terrible.
