One way to do this is to start with a feeler gauge that is one size up, clamp down fairly hard with the adjuster, pull the large feeler gauge out, then try the correct feeler gauge. Usually it will be perfect.
Hey Patrick! That is nice if they have eliminated the need for valve adjustment after 300 miles. I bought my Classic 350 a few weeks ago, but it is a 2023 model, so I got a very fair discount on it. But as it is a 23 model, it will still need the valve adjustment. Makes me wonder why.. Is It because of complaints of customers that the 300 mile service became to expensive, or because they actually changed something about those tappets?

I understand that, since May 2024, the valve inspection and adjustment is no longer required at 300mi.
