- I wanted to share with you some of the worst foundation for oily skin. Some of these foundations I have used faithfully in the past and later on realized my skin did not like them. There are some foundations in this video that I still use occasionally but, I know they will not last as long as other foundations. I hope this video helps you stand clear of any foundations (drugstore or high end) that aren't great for your oily skin.

When you have dry skin, so you make note of the foundations.
I was hoping you'd say the Maybelline Fit Me. Everyone loves that, it went on decent but a few hours later my face ate it up and I looked ashy and oily at the same time I felt so betrayed 😭
4udumn do you use the matte or dewy one?
The dewy is HORRIBLE but the matte is just less horrible lol
AccordingToCrys I used the matte one, but my skin is weird. I just use the L'Oréal infallible matte own now but that one isn't the best either tbh
4udumn yeah I'm a walking crisco ad . I find that if I put setting powder on prior to foundation, I'm 85% less oily. If I get trashy and use MOM which I love regardless of the negativity about it... I'm flawless!!!

Makeup Forever Ultra HD is awful for oily skin. It broke me out and that has never happened before. When I returned it the woman at the counter said, she wouldn't have let me buy it because it is awful for oily skin. Along with the breakout, it breaks up and literally slides off my skin.
Oonagh72 agree 100%. When I returned mine the girl at Sephora was like "oh this isn't good for oily skin". Try the Matte Velvet.

Oonagh72 really? I love my Makeup Forever Ultra HD foundation! The MUFE foundation is a water based foundation and must be used with a water based primer. It doesn't break me out and is the best king lasting matte foundation I have besides my Becca Ultimate Coverage foundation.
it broke me out too!!! i was sooooo upset because at first i thought it applied so amazingly and looked good but then it broke me out :-( the mat velvet is GR8 tho
Oonagh72 I have sort of oily skin and I've been using that but I agree it is not good for oily skin at all, whenever I use it I bring blotting papers and a compact. It's never broken me out though.
I have combination skin and I've been having problems with the oil slick after 2 hours effect. I'm glad you've confirmed Nars was contributing it. Thanks so much for the follow up video. I will be searching for a new foundation tomorrow.
You are a godsend! I was using the L'Oréal True Blend recently & I started to break out all over. This video was so informative thanks Raye, a part two with higher end brands would be amazing. Yeah man my skin is oily AF! I like the L'Oreal True Match too, they even have a shade that matches me perfectly. It looks good at first then makes my face look all greasy and weird. Wish they would come out with a Matte version already! I tried the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte and I don't think it looks good on my after a while either. My face looks crazy greasy and it kinda seeps into the lines in my face making me look all old and greasy. I've been using the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless. That one is ok, I like that it's light, because I don't like full coverage. I only might do full coverage for my videos and stuff, but for everyday I just like a light thin layer. Just enough to make my skin look a little more even and spots lighter. I don't care about covering every spot perfectly. I like to look and feel more natural in person. I hate the feeling of foundation caked on my face. But no matter what foundation I use my face will still get a little oily at some point, I just blot with tissues when ever I get a chance.

estee lauder double wear + smashbox original photo finish primer (the silikony) are the bomb! I am not super oily but I swear it stays put for forever all though I danced for hours :)
I found out when I got rid of primers & setting sprays and just used rose water under and over my foundation the oils would not take over.

Becca mattifying primer is THE BEST FOR OILY SKIN!!! I have such an oily face and I have been using this product before putting on my foundation for seven years now. Use in small amounts or it'll make your face appear white and uneven. BUT if used correctly, it is soo amazing. It immediately makes your face feel dry and matte

Ms Fabulous I swear by using Calamine lotion as a primer!
Ms Fabulous use an eye primer or something like a Mac paint pot in a skin coloured shade on your nose and the crease to stop your foundation wearing away from your nose super quickly
This video literally was the biggest help ever!! I've been using the Lock It foundation forever and I was so in love with the coverage but I would get so oily and after the foundation would just spread and I would try to fix it but it literally was a disaster for me , and I honestly thought it was something I was doing! I'm so long glad that you made this video and the help because GIRLLLL I've been in the hunt for a new foundation and Im a lost sheep, but this was so helpful!!

I would love to see more oily skin videos Raye! So funny, I was definitely rooting for the L'Oreal one when I bought it too and I was so disappointed. I have been surprisingly impressed with the NYX total control drop foundation on my oily skin, for me it lasts a good amount of time without making me extra shiny! #snapchatfam

YOU NEED TO TRY ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR!!!!!!! I have EXTREMELY OILY skin and I have to blot 5-6 times a day, even without makeup. However when I wear that foundation I'll normally put it on around 6 in the morning and take it off at 10:30 ish and not have to blot once

aww glad it works well for you!! After 6 hours I get very oily and I break out everytime I use it. Maybe it's too heavy for my skin cause I double cleanse 😟

The Maybelline fit me foundation does not work for my oily skin. I even tried the Maybelline fit me Matte and poreless and that is still oily on my skin.

Best video I've seen in a while!! I have tried all of these foundations and you are dead on when it comes to my oily skin!! The only one that I've tried that oil didn't break through until after 8 hours was the Kat Von D but unfortunately the colors are too red or too light so I don't wear it often only for that reason. With the KVD foundation and any foundation that is very full coverage and very matte, it actually makes you more oily because it's drying out your skin. The skin, just like our hair, tends to product more oils when its dehydrated.
dehydrated is different than need moisture
I must say the Estée Lauder Double wear foundation and the Maybelline fit me matte and poreless work the best for me.

I've found just applying the foundation as thin as possible works best to prevent the "dots." Also the brush you use makes a difference.
You have to first apply on clean moisturized skin. Start with the primer..mattifying and pore filler.. And make sure that the foundation and the primer goes good together like they are both silicon based or both water based
