Holy crap! You did an amazing job capturing the circulation on that thing. How dark it got! That clap of thunder practically jolted me out of my chair. And you stayed calm!! Well done.
My insides were going crazy!
@@unaek1 You both were defibrilated then? that should make you keep loving The Live streams and other videos!
@@unaek1 are you okay?
Have never seen a tornado in real life until a few weeks ago. It happened so fast with out warning. It looked like swirling black smoke. After it was all said and done everyone was out in the neighborhood assessing the damage. One guy said to me that he has a trampoline in his backyard and I was like okay then he says he didn't own a trampoline. It was very scary. I'm glad you are okay. Mother nature and all her fury is something we have no control over. The weather around the whole world is crazy. Scientist's predictions are coming true., 🤔
Yes! That thunder made jump 😆
That's a once in a life time video, you can just about see the inflow meeting the up draft, there's not much footage like this, really incredible to catch it.
Thanks!
Good capture of rising scud and early spin-up. Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s very considerate of the golfers to let the tornado play through. I’ve heard of a golf handicap, but I didn’t realize it was a mental handicap.
They are trying to find their balls.
After that...I'd be looking for mine, too!
Funny!
Absolutely hilarious!
THE WORLD IS ENDING THE TORNADO IS GONE IN 1:20 MINUTES
Last day of June the Friday 1:20 with clock
Thank you for sharing this. So exciting and frightening! This is the best tornado video ever! You were very brave. No screaming or cursing. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow!!! Caught at the very moment of formation! I am glad you're ok, and I totally understand that 3:35 "Oh..." I was in the Xenia, Ohio tornado in 1974. A moment of absolute clarity and fearlessness. Only someone who sees their end and then it passes by can understand.
Thanks!
It's weird how you can feel it the pressure . I was in the edge of an ef3 that had a couple moments of ef4 I believe. The Channelview Texas tornado of 1993. 10 years pryor a hurricane with trees all over my house. It was bad enough I have ptsd because of it. Some houses had only a cement foundation left.
Yikes. I remember that day. I was five, but remember it clearly. Was living in trenton, about 60ish miles to the sw of xenia. Sky was wierd popcorn clouds until the storms showed starting around 3 or so
I’m glad you are here to text this comment!! My town was hit hard that day too. But I remember clearly hearing about Xenia and later seeing the footage. I was 16-17 at the time, and remembered being horrified. About wiped your town off the map!! I watched the EF4 that hit our town, well one of them. A total of 3 tornadoes hit here that terrible day. Then in 2011 the same thing happened again, oddly took almost the same paths. My turn came I’m 2016, when an EF3 demolished my home. They usually describe a tornado as sounding like a train. But that’s only when it is at a distance and coming toward you. When it’s on top of you, sounds nothing like a train. More like a a Boeing 747… Behind niagara Falls!!! The sounds of it hitting your home is….. don’t want to think about it!!! God bless everyone🙏🙏 And this video is great!!!
@@Kyle-gb9dqTrenton, NJ?
Awesome video! A little dangerous perhaps but we enjoyed it! You got to see the whole life cycle of the tornado.
This video was just straight forward jaw-dropping awesome! At the 1:39 mark you can hear the winds of the tornado in the clouds aloft. At 2:24 you can see debris in the air coming from the right side going to the left side and stalls for a second or two and begins to shift from the left to the right at the 2:27 to 2:36 mark.😮 From the 2:20 to the 2:52 mark the winds aloft in the air sounded like the suspense that you usually hear when watching a horror movie that leads up to the end part. Very intense, dangerous, and awe-inspiring video. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Even as an amateur meteorologist I don't think I will ever get over how awe inspiring and mesmerizing tornados can be, but their destruction is always one for the history books...
Best yet: North America is the tornado central of the entire world.
I agree. I could a tornado anytime & not get bored of seeing them.
@@Viktor47917 we are! And due to climate change, china is experiencing an increase in the phenomena too now.
@@StormChaserMaci. i can imagine you're ready for Twister 2 then lol
@@Atlantiquasa I'm always ready for any tornado movie 😆
That was cool to hear it, before you felt it. The wind in the trees was so different from the wind of the tornado. Kind of weird to hear it and see the trees react to the tornado, but never seeing it. Glad you were safe.
Thanks!
Did you see the 2 golfers standing in the middle of the course on 4:39
@@unaek1Great footage.
& scary. This is exactly what's going on here right now. I have a video but had to come inside. The thunder, lighting & wind was unreal!
@@wherndon10 wow he weird
Totally underrated video!!!! That roar!!! One of the best videos for capturing the the sound of a tornado.
Wow, thanks!
I thought the same!
I was over on Matzinger watching the funnel cloud form, and the sirens didn't go off until 30 minutes after.
That’s what I’m saying! It was actually 15 minutes but still that’s too late.
Never rely on a tornado siren. They are meant to warn people outdoors not in a house or any other building. They can fail for a number of reasons.
I'd get a noaa weather radio that has a battery backup. If the power were to fail the sirens would never sound or if that particular site lost power even if your house didn't there wouldn't be a siren sound.
Also make sure the alerts are turned on on your cellphone. It's the one that sends out the Amber & Silver Alerts. Many ppl turned it off so they won't be bothered by those but it also turns off the emergency wx alerts.
Been like that everywhere keep.hearing about noone getting warnings. Till late.
Our meteorologist said "there is no chance for a tornado; the conditions aren't right." Six hours later an EF2 , 300 yard wide tornado hits Point Place.
I lost it when the golf cart drove by!!🤣🤣 It's just another beautiful day in the neighborhood!!🤗🤗
This is such a great capture of how a tornado feels when it hits you. Wow.
That sound of it also unmistakable. These are loud & make their presence known.
This was just the edge of the tornado, if you look closely the tornado is a few bits further out! I am guessing that the center of the Tornado would have been extremely scary!
Gee, you caught that storm in its infancy, that may be good luck there. Hope your home wasnt too damaged. Thanks for sharing
It was a confirmed EF2 tornado, 300 yards wide.
Wow! Impressive, scary footage! And I LOVE how you never even made a sound; barely even jumped when that lightning struck so close. Thank you for not talking/screaming and so on. I think that was pretty risky, and I can’t get over how calmly you filmed.
I know in this scenario I would be awestruck.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What do you mean barely jumped ?? It scared the crap outta them. You could tell
That sheepish utterance of "oh" as he opened the sliding glass door. Pretty fucking gangster.
It was a realizing it was taking down full grown trees kind of gasp. I had to get a better view, too. Hahaha
Dude You are one LUCKY man to not lose ur house. It dropped almost right on you holy crap.
Edit: You can clearly hear that roar also! Unmistakable sound.
I know!
This was an incredible experience! Glad you're okay. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I used to live on 315th street next to the Ottawa River Yacht Club. It’s crazy to think that the place I lived at got hit so hard. I’m just glad you’re okay ❤
Thanks!
I've watched a *lot* of tornado videos, and yours was one of the most ominous yet best ones I've seen in a long time.
Thanks!
Pretty terrifying. I can't believe how calm you stay. Tree's can grow back but people can't. Glad you're alright.
This is terrifying footage! Fascinating... but realy scary!! Watching clouds rotate right over my head like that is traumatic stuff!
Yes it was
That moment around 2:08 when you hear the wind shifting and see that's its almost directly above you... That brought back memories 10 years ago witnessing almost the exact same thing, only it was spring and the buds on the trees got sucked straight up into the air. Scariest thing ever. Great footage!
I could sense the tension between fleeing and filming. Tornadoes are mesmeric.
Storm still raging and the golfers come right back out to finish the game! LOL. That was crazy! GR8 job on recording the formation!
That SOUND!! Gives me the goose bumps. Fascinating video, hope everyone was ok.👍🏻
Yes, thanks
Wow. The roar develops so quickly... seems to come out of nowhere at 1:38 or so
Yep. Unmistakable sound!! That is why they describe these sounding like a freight train.
"I Heard That Train A Coming!"
Johnny Cash : SUN Records: 1955!
More like 2:50
I'm in Monroe! Glad to see you are ok!
This was incredible! I actually jumped from the huge clap of thunder. The footage of the circulation is simply amazing! It was very frightening how it went from relatively peaceful and quiet(minus the thunder😂) to that unmistakable roar of the tornado in just mere seconds. You are so brave. Thank you for sharing your footage with us!
This may the first time I've ever seen video of a direct hit with no visible condensation funnel to speak of. Just the debris cloud. Amazing to watch. Yes, there was a little visible funnel at 1:36 but it mostly disappeared. At 2:24 though is the first sign of flying debris, coming your way.
My thoughts exactly! I didnt even know that was possible to be so completely invisible. Scary.
Our meteorologist said "there is no chance for a tornado; the conditions aren't right." Six hours later an EF2 , 300 yard wide tornado hits Point Place.
@@unaek1 Sorry hope your damage wasn't too horrible. I must ask, when compared with the damage from where the tornado approached, does it look like the damage gets worse around the time it got to your house and then after? Like maybe it kinda dropped on your house and the debris from the video as it approached was from straight line winds. I'm still wondering about the completely invisible aspect of it.
@@unaek1 I'm not sure what it is about our area, but it is so hard to forecast tornadoes for Toledo and surrounding areas. Most of our tornadoes and supercells in the last few years have come from zero or very low risk days, and all of the time we are forecasted to have a big event, nothing happens. This was a day where EVERYONE was complacent. TV Meteorologists, Lucas County EMA for sounding the sirens 15 minutes late, and even Cleveland NWS for waiting until 10 minutes after a tornado was already on the ground, doing damage to issue a Tornado Warning. It was a complete failure on all fronts.
@@jasonr8464 It first hit a mile from me and totally destroyed a brick medical building. Lifted a bit, but still was taking out roofs, siding and trees. It was 300 yards wide and knocking trees over and ripping up roofs and siding everywhere within that area. Tore through an area 3 blocks past my house all the way through Cullen Park, leveling businesses and destroying houses. It then turned into a waterspout over the river. I had minor damage to the house but almost all the trees came down or were topped.
Props to the cameraman who survived this ordeal
Yay, I made it through!
Props? STUPIDITY. I'm glad he's okay as well but that was stupid
Nah, calling for a person to be stupid is short sided. This term is constantly used in the Hispanic community as an insult as a cut down.
If an outsider is to determine what kind a person this is who films a spontaneous formation of a tornado over their Heads, I call this kid a Cracker Jack, and if this term goes over the heads of the less informed, the Camera Man is a Dare Devil, just straight out of the Evil Kanevil play book ,chapter three, Fuck I ain't stupid,I'm a dare devil.

@@unaek1 I couldn't even imagine. We had a tornado here in Washington a few years ago. It was scary & just missed our apartment & my work at the time. A lot of damage, but no one was hurt thank goodness! I never thought I'd see one here though. My husband is from Iowa & also wasn't expecting to see one here. Scary times!!
Right as it formed and not fully condensed yet. Insanely interesting footage.

Wow 😮 I bet you weren't expecting THAT to happen 😨 great job videoing it and staying calm 👍🌸 glad you and your home survived. This video should go viral I'd say 😊👍🌸much respect from Christchurch NewZealand 🌸
Thanks. Our meteorologist at noon said, " There's no chance of a tornado; the conditions aren't right." 6 hours later, an EF2 tornado, 300 yards wide.
Mesmerizing video, thanks for capturing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It dropped right on top of you. This is some amazing footage. I can't believe it hasn't gone viral.
Wow, thank you!
It seems tornadoes only book like tornadoes from a certain distance. Once you get close enough, it’s just greenish grayness - and crap flying everywhere. Clearly, it made a mess, but glad you dodged the bullet there.
Thanks.
I didn't see the funnel cloud when the photographer filmed his back yard. All I saw was a grey cloud. Where was the rotation funnel as the storm exited. Conclusion. No tornado. Maybe a microburst? Or maybe just a precursor of an incomplete tornado, but no touchdown funnel!

Watching that wind up is amazing!
Those golfers must've betted some serious money on that golf game. Great video 👍👍
Thank you for filming and sharing this
You're welcome.
That blast was the rear flank inflow that you hear first ,then see…(watch the circulation area)…and the debris afterwards…excellent video!!!!
Holy cow. Graet catch on video. That loud thunder clap. When u hear that, the storm means business. Within a min to min and 1/2 u hear it approaching
Wow! That is an interesting tornado. It didn’t even touchdown. It had all the rotating features, winds, and everything. Great catch on video.
It did touch down. It swirled thru my neighborhood and over my house.
As a European, I find this extremely brave and terrifying. Can't even imagine. 😣

That was some impressive footage of a mesocyclone in the process of active tornado genesis.
Wow - didn’t know Ohio had tornados 😳. What a yard cleanup you had
Ohio has had some doozies over the years. Finishing clean up and repair by next week.
All states have tornadoes except Alaska, they have devastating earthquakes!! But you never know!! All the states in the middle of our country, north and south, are bad for tornadoes. Ohio, Iowa, Colorado has a lot! North, and south Dakota, you name it. You once never heard of them in California, but you do now. I believe our weather will be more and more violent in the coming years. Signs of our times. God bless🙏🙏
An example would be the Xenia, Ohio tornado of 1974. F5 to be exact. Also the tornado outbreak of 1985.
@@janledford3010Even Alaska has had tornadoes, but they're rare up there just like thunderstorms. Just F-0s at best.

Just a reminder that just because you don't see a condensation funnel touching the ground, that doesn't mean you won't get hit. Debris was evident as the funnel cloud passed over, and judging by what I could see, the tornado appeared to gain strength after it passed. Not many tornado videos quite like this one out there.
