First off, Billy, a huge reason why I continue to come back to see your videos is because of your music choice. Just love it.
I think it would be really nice to put your lighting at the top of the two niches, for down-lighting, in the chapel. They would be hidden by the boarder around them. Then you could buy some beautiful French cast-iron urns and put fresh flowers in them, when you have events, and they would look great empty, too. If they didn't have statues, that may have been what the nuns did. They apparently had a big enough garden to grow cut flowers for services.
Also, have you considered asking the local art museum or college art department to see if you can get a restoration artist to come and clean, then touch up/repair any of the paint on and surrounding the murals? Since the city was originally going to buy the convent, I bet they might be able to help you find someone.
The sink advent idea is fun! You also have a lot of rooms to use for content like that! With lots of help, could you finish a room per day? Etc.

In my city, people transformed a chapel of an old school into an auditorium. Nowadays it is used to hold cultural events, like concerts and plays. And they did such an awesome job, maintaining the old features of the chapel, even though it is not used as a religious space anymore. It's called "Capela Santa Maria - Curitiba". It's worth taking a look :)

I’m watching your amazing work from a tiny town in South Central Kentucky and I’m hooked! Not only do I love your all’s (we say “y’all’s “ here!) accent, but I’m picking up a whole new vocabulary! For instance, I don’t run the vacuum anymore; I run the “hoovah”… I know it’s spelled “Hoover” but you pronounce it “hoovah”, which I find so adorable! 🥰. Anyway, from a little old Kentucky gal, “crack on”, Billy!! I’m really loving your “Dailies”!!

Love the violin music you used for the intro background. Good that you guys are visiting the various rooms regularly just for a quick check. The small roller is my husband’s favorite. It holds an amazing amount of paint. Our house is small and he painted all the rooms. He could move furniture just enough to paint. No splatters! It made the clean up so easy. He used a long handle on it to paint in the bath rooms around the toilets. It cuts down on the masking tape you need to paint close to molding and trim.

I have been watching your family for over a year. This convent is the perfect place for you to set up a thrift/craft location. In the one room bedrooms would be perfect for individuals to rent space to sell their crafts/ thrift items. The chapel could be just religious items some to stay in the chapel and some to sell. It is a shame not to use all that space for something. You love to go to thrift shops, think of the fun you would have collecting items to sell.

If the alcoves in the chapel have a front frame/lip/edge around them consider tape lights on the back side of that frame so that the alcove is front lit rather than from below or above. It would create a wonderful glow. Mystery advent drain for the win- I think by Christmas you might figure out which way Lucy goes. Haha keep up the great work!

Morning Billy, I don't think you will find anything in the traps, the nuns were quite handy with small jobs, so if somebody lost an earring they would have dealt with that immediately. Rings are too big to go through the strainer, but if you are willing to try, go for it. There seems to be a lovely atmosphere between all the workers, making light jokes and most important of all, getting on with their various jobs. Each handyman to his own, their know how to get the job done, let us just appreciate all their hard work. The lights will be amazing in the Chapel and the single light in the alcove will be great for lighting up a statue or something else like an urn. Keep going you will soon be done, then what? Thank you for sharing, go well, kind regards.

It's interesting in the Covenant to see the different stages of building. Like the front apartments by the gate and the entire rear section of the convent are the same so were probably built at once.
They are likely the most modern parts. The Buildings would have been built over time as the Convent had money, maybe replacing low brick or even wooden buildings.

If you had a library type ladder with hooks on the top and rollers on the bottom....the lighting would be safer and faster in the chapel. Lighted stained glass in the chapel niches would be really pretty. It was not always a convent, but also a school and hospital. The traps are way too clean....They are newer. If you have any rooms without the modern wall paper...try them. The public bathrooms would be more likely.

On the east side of Manhattan in New York City is an old Jewish temple that had been abandoned. It is now an amazing space for all kinds of events (including services for high holy days) such as weddings, concerts, etc. The beauty of it is that in restoring the space they left a lot of the ‘ruin’ and have made amazing use of lighting that can be adapted as needed. The convent chapel reminds of this temple, and you could restore it in a similar way, and maybe not work so hard! Thank you, Billy, once again for great videos and great music!
