- Vizio TV E70u-D3 blue picture/tint problem.
Thank you for watching from Paul's TV Co.

Thanks Paul's TV, we noticed the tint coming from the back of the tv with the cover off and had not run into this problem, we were just about to remove the panel and look so you saved us a bit of work !
Is there an alternate part number LED strip I can put in that will last longer, or did you put in an OEM replacement?
Where can l get the led strips for a vizio e60u d3, are the same that e60 c3?
Do you need to make sure there is no debris on the backside of the display panel when you put it back on? (or also nothing on the paper on which the panel sits?) Like, if some debris is on either thing - will it show through while watching tv?
I have the Vizio D60-F3...I have messed with all of the setting trying to get rid of a blue hue where whites should be. I'm thinking it's time to get a new tv.
So it looks like there's no settings to correct this
Do you need to replace all the led strips, or just identify the strip with the bad led?
Most likely all of them.
I replaced leds, connected the tv to power still taken apart, and the leds are very dim unless I touch them. Please help
Changed the leds and now sim unless I touch them, and they somewhat brighten up. Please help! I’m at a standstill
Neighbor put an E60-E3 on the curb on trash night so I grabbed it, assuming it was a cracked screen or power supply issue. I'll grab TVs and bring them home and part them out on eBay, normally.
Surprisingly it turned on, but shortly after realized that the whole panel had a blue/purple tint, which led me to this yellow filter issue.
Strip kits on eBay run about $40 and the replacement process looks incredibly easy compared to stuff like cellphone or tablet repairs- plus I work with RGB LEDs already, including strip. I was thinking I was gonna be soldering lol
So, did you end up using LG LEDs instead?
More info lol
Very nice , thanks
also applicable for LG tvs , thank you.
We didn't see the same problem with LG TVS. What is the Model number for LG?
@@PaulsTVCo LG 32LF510B
@@twanwessel , I guess it is European model.
@@PaulsTVCo I have an LG tv, a 49UH6100. From the video, does this mean I have to buy an LED backlight strip?
I opened the back panel, and sure enough, I see blue.
Where could I buy new strips?
@@richardwatterstan , I'm not sure if your set needs new leds. Some models are using blue leds and therefore I won't be able to answer your 1st question.
If you'll google by model number you should be able to find led strips.
I have a Vizio. All colors are purple. Could this be the problem?
So is it the leds are old and they get this color?
Either that or they go out
Do you have to change all the strips or can you swap individual ones? Is there a way to diagnose each led, without removing the plastic dome?
Yes, you need to replace all the strips. If you remove the screen, filters and power on your TV, you'll see blue haze around each led. If led is white without blue shadow around it, then it is good. The only question is - Good for how long?
@@PaulsTVCo Thanks for the reply. Ideally I would like to replace them all, but the LED strips are in short supply and I don't want to have to individually place leds on the old strips.
For an 70 inch VIZIO E series with this problem do you know how much I’m looking at paying to get it fixed?
thank you man
i can change my leds now
How will we pay you to fix our Vizio TV led Lights
Ah, noticed the same problem with my father's TV.
Where can you get the led strips though
Just found it on ebay
@Alejando, do you have a link for the LED strips?
I am having this problem and I am told that this is a mainboard problem but your answer seems more accurate
More accurate ? the man just showed you, with video and a catchy tune in the background. Really ?????
@@bengugled8699 Dude, try the de-caf...
Use common sense, it's easy @@jorgecamacho1687
I just repaired one it's not just the backlights. The main board is defective and does not shut the backlights off.
very poor design
Don't show anything. Useless video
It shows the LED backlights have been discoloured by a combination of age and possibly the LEDs have been burned by being slightly overdriven over a long period of time. Only fix is to replace the entire backlight panel. While it could be possible to replace individual LEDs or strips it wouldn't be the best idea as the remaining working white LEDs could be due to fail soon.
I completely disagree. I came here to say the opposite. If you were looking for some magic fix for your tv, yes it's useless. I'm sure alot of stuff seems useless if that's your perception on everything
THAT LOUD THROBBING BASS THUMPING SOUND DOES NOT MAKE YOU COOL IT IS JUST PLAIN IRRATATING
john maiwald same with writing in all caps haha
Sorry about it. RUclips offers copyright FREE music and doesn't have a lot of options. When I pick a music, it has to match the same time as a video. That makes it even harder.
Just turn your volume down. I mean Jesus Christ. This video doesn't require sound at all, it's not like you gotta listen to him talk through it.
