      I got my d3200 10 years ago and the 35mm lens not long after… I was devastated a few months ago when I realised the autofocus motor was dead X[ I just got another off eBay so we’ll see if I wreck that as well!

    The D3200 is still a perfect camera for simple photography. With a bright lens, it's great for portraits, landscapes, macro, but it's also good for simple filming from a good video tripod. My first dslr camera, but I still use it to this day alongside my Nikon Z50 and still love it!

      Before I went to the Nikon d600 I had the d3300 for about a year and absolutely loved it. Using this camera felt very familiar, but after using the Sony's and my wife's Canon with the Dpaf, the af on it was frustrating at times. That lady was ace! Interactions like that make me smile 😁

    It’s always good to use old DSLR these days because at the end it’s a camera and with any camera Street Photography can be done
    I did buy an old Nikon D70S again lately because i used to have it back in the days and it was the first DSLR I have ever used I loved that camera and the feel of carrying it was amazing
    I do shoot with Sony and Fuji and Canon but sometimes as they say old is gold
    I still have to buy a cheap 50 mm Nikon or a yongnuo 50mm nikon so I can use it with the D70S

    ok so I've been dicking around with photography for about 20 years now, and had a DSLR for 10 years. I've been faffing about in Lightroom a long long time to try and edit my pics, but never with any serious effort. Last week I did as you suggested and grabbed those free seasonal presets from your website and the difference it's made to some of my shots is incredible. sometimes its like clicking a magic "make my pictures suck less" button, and its made me realise that I know absolutely nothing about processing my digital images. anyway just wanted to say thanks for opening my eyes with those presets and making me want to dig into this witchcraft even more

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  8 месяцев назад +1

      First of all “dicking around” is a phrase I’ll be using from now on 😂 secondly if you want to dig into the editing a bit more, try localised edits.
      Take the clearly autumn preset which is my most used in that pack, dial it back to about 50% and then start poking around at specific areas, but keep it subtle.
      A light vignette, a bit of brightening on a focal point etc. all things like that allow to somewhat reshape the light and make your images pop.
      I think the key to all editing is to keep it subtle unless it’s a stylistic choice.
      Have a good one🖖😁

  • @LeafOfAutumn05
    @LeafOfAutumn05 2 года назад +3

    It gets the work done but comes with a lot of limitations... The focus point being the weak note .. I'm considering on switching to Sony Alpha 6000 or 6100 ... Or a canon EOS M50 ... If you can suggest me a better Nikon camera with more focus points on a budget... I prefer Nikon but my current has lots of limitations due to it being a very low budget camera
    Also I don't see Nikon releasing any mid ranged dslr/mirrorless anymore

    • @DavidFlowerOfficial
      @DavidFlowerOfficial  2 года назад +2

      One of the reasons I switched from Nikon to Sony was the af. Even the older Sony's like the a6000 are so much better because of pdaf. There will be no more DSLRs from Nikon or anyone else and since canon announced the R7 and R10 that all but confirms the Eos M system is dead. I don't mind the limitations of the older cameras as it causes you to slow down and be more intentional. I know I can get higher resolution images with the a6000 with more reliable af, but I still enjoy using the old canon 400d and 40d. Thanks for watching 🖖

      I don’t remember what I used in this video, but I don’t think a wide range zoom is ever a bad idea, especially if you like to shoot a variety of subjects. Couple that with your 35mm f1.8 (I loved that lens when I shot Nikon) and I think you’ll be good.

      Camera all day everyday for superior image quality, but for you personally it will depend on how and what you want to shoot. If you feel like what the iPhone offers is good enough for your needs, then that’s the one for you.
