This is why i love classics so much! The smell, the feel, the looks, old mechanical techniques. A car that needs to be driven by a real driver. Not just a simple car that was made to sell with just a few cheap buttons. Love it!!
Driving moccasins for the cramped foot well and closeness of the pedals. Imagine driving that with big clunky thick sole having hiking boots or crocs with your feet tripping over the pedal next to them, e.i. the brake pedal. No thanks, he's lacking though,no well worn leather gloves made from utter leather. I forget how many times this replayed reading comments because it sounds so beautiful

Later diablos had headlights from 300zx , mclaren f1 had rear lights from a bova bus , Aston vantage had Ford steering wheel and side mirrors from a Citroën used with jag xj220 which also used rover rear lights. Good shifting. Although it's not a race to remove your hand from the gearstick unless you're fighting with the steering. The fastest shifts are actually the smoothest shifts.
I was driven by an Italian customer in a 355 and he shifted during acceleration by not releasing the gas pedal completely (still holding around quarter) and downshifted with double declutch always. It was smooth as silk.

It's not skilled shifting buddy. All car manufacturers make gear shifting from 2nd to 3rd flawlessly as it's the most used gear.

I raced cars for many years and might just be a habit getting hand off shifter so not using to stabilize in turns.
