Oh yes a standard one sided razor blade, bend it into a shallow curve to stop the corners digging in and scrape at an angle (like your holding a pen) with the middle of the blade. You can fix runs and sags very easily this way. Buy a packet of 100 blades and swap them out before they get dull.
@@frankish5314 you can also use thin mylar or kapton tape on the sides of a blade to avoid digging in and just shave the drip. Luthier use that method for guitar paint correction everyday.
Sarah, those rims are perfect! Once again your wheel choice is outstanding. Whoever wins this car will own a fantastic vehicle. Thanks for all your hard work.
I don’t know any other car content creator that dresses to match the theme of the car like Sarah does. That top is so 80’s that MTV called and wants their VJ back.
The 80s vibe of the postproduction is awesome, love it. I feel that rear louvre is going to be the kicker, classic 80s. Your builds and videos are the most genuine on RUclips at the moment. Particularly at a time when lots of the popular RUclipsrs have migrated to cars most of us will be able to afford.
The rods on the louvers should be prop rods to hold it up while you clean the window, like a hood prop. Should be hinged on top, weird latches on bottom. The hardest part about restoring louvers is eliminating the rattles, foam, caulk, etc all a must. You're doing great work, and that's coming from a huge Mk2 nerd. Love the wheel choice. Replacing the elastic on the door pockets and seat backs is a nice touch often overlooked on them.
This is the reveal I've been waiting for. VERY NICE wheels, I was afraid they might be black, which I am so tired of seeing. When you see a dry patch when your spraying paint, have another gun with only reducer in it, and lightly spray over the dry patch, and it's gone. 😊 .
There’s something innately satisfying about the sound of those panels being clipped back on after the mandatory SnT cleaning. And that paint sag correction… world class! Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Chrome lug nuts are the right choice. The wheels are awesome on the Supra, perfect choice! As usual, your attention to the small details showcases your talent. I do so enjoy your reactions on video Sarah. So glad I discovered your channel. Thanks for sharing
Never underestimate Fred when it comes to paint. I literally watched him save a bad reaction in the sealer painting a pearl base coat the other day and sand it completely off in the booth, respray over it, and have it come out completely unnoticeable. Lol
People need to understand that this car will be twice the car that you think. It will be so fun to drive. I owned a stock one. It handled very well. Let alone one that is in better condition. This car will be the real deal. Mustangs beware!
Dang, those wheels are absolutely perfect. I agree that the silver does look cleaner. This build just keeps getting cooler and cooler in my opinion. I'm excited to see what you end up deciding to do regarding the graphics. I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting a t-shirt this time around. I don't have much at the moment due to medical bills, but watching your projects progress really helped keep my spirits up when I was stuck in bed for months last year with my back injury. I appreciate your hard work and entertaining projects!
That car is going to be sooo dope when you're done putting your touch to it, not that it wasn't before. Can't wait to see the suspension go under the car, I'm a suspension junkie.
Ooohhh yeah!! Those were the wheels I had in my mind! 🔥👏🏻 Great to see the sags got removed without having to redo the entire door. 👍🏻 The person who wins this is going to get a gem of a classic JDM! 👏🏻😎
Great attention to detail, love the ocd, and great wheel choice and yes hope the winner appreciates them , pity I can't enter the competition (I'm not in the States)
I had a smile on my face watching this video. Not just because of your meticulous work, but the effort you must have put in to make it a full on 80's video, from the outfit to the cuts to the music. It was very well done. Also love the un-squeeked F-bomb when you sat on the air IR.
New wheels go perfectly with the car. They even look period correct for people not similar with these cars. The effort that Sarah puts into these give away cars is outstanding.
This is the best build video you've done. Every moment I a wow factor for me. This car is being transformed. The wheels are gorgeous. Best 16 minutes I've spent all month.
Loving those wheels, sooooo much better than the standard alloys, hope whoever wins it, takes it to the next level, they are getting a stunning car, well done Sarah
The disks on the back of the selected supra are actually disk drum. The parking brake is inside of a very expensive to replace. I used to have one of those supras back when I was a teenager.
Turned that paint around beautifully! Silver lug nuts definitely. The wheels change everything! Your inability to compromise is greatness incarnate S!!!
Sarah this vision is coming together nicely. Awesome job on the single stage, the wheels are great. What a project. When you say, one lucky winner, you’re not kidding.🙂
Whoever is winning this car is getting so much more than just a car. All the effort and work you are putting into it is amazing! Much respect for that👍. And now I know how to tackle some saggs I've encountered in the single stage paintjob I performed in my garage. Already bought the tungsten scraper tool but I wasn't really sure on how to properly proceed with that. Now I know, thank you!
Once again, nicely done. I always look fwd to your videos. Outstanding craftsmanship and true dedication to doing things correctly. Keep up the great job.
Wasn't too sure about the look of the wheels but after seeing the whole profile of the car it looks great. As an owner of an '82 Celica GT (sold mine in 1991 because it needed a clutch) - I'll be entering this contest - would love to have one again (garage kept) - it's also amazing how little rust this thing had - I replaced floorboards and most of the rear deck in 1990....
Your choice of wheels and tires is always spot on! 👌I'm actually going to dig into your videos, to find out which ones you have on your cars - to get some ideas for future reference. If only you could publish this info on twitter... 😉 (I vote for silver lug nuts)
Have always been partial to Hondas as Japanese imports go, but have always had a soft spot for the Supra from the 80’s. I grew up in the 80’s. Lots of great memories, especially with the cars of that era. Love this series. Great content as always!
Those wheels are fire! Silver lug nuts all the way, the black ones stick out like a sore thumb I think. I'm loving the 80's fx in the video, keep up the great work!
It's fantastic to see how excited you are about the wheels 😁. You're soooo into this build, and your enthusiasm is infectious 😊. Cute side note - I had a Matchbox one of these as a kid and it was my favourite. Black of course. Even on that teeny scale it was intriguing and alluring. Cool AF 👉👉👉. 😎
Honestly I bet you could get hundred thousand plus for this car in Scottsdale , instead your giving this away to one of your very luck subscribers , what a big heart ! You are amazing!
Loved everything about this episode: the cut, the car, the of wheels!!!!! and tires!!!! and the work done. The music and 80's effects made it perfect.🤌
I had a 1884 Black Supra. It had the digital dash. It was the second car I ever bought. It brings back many memories. I wish I still had it. While in the US Army I drove it from Washington state to Kentucky to my next duty station. It was like my own Kit Car, except better. I also had the louver on the back window.❤
This isn’t just a Supra - it’s a Time Machine! My GenX heart is smitten!!!!!!!! I always loved Supras but as a teen could NOT afford one. Here’s hoping to win this sweet ride!🤞🏻
"I'm not crazy, I just take care of my vehicles." - I have said the exact same thing to people before regarding why I car wash and clean my vehicles so much.
I love the smile on Sarah’s face when she opens new JDM parts. The wheel offset is spot on and the silver lug nuts are definitely the best.
Like a child opening Christmas presents from Santa. 😄
That sag fix blew my mind. I had no idea that was even possible. I thought after sanding it would have to be painted over.

Quiet Riot mesh tee as soon as I saw it!🤘🤘🤘

Those wheels are outstanding. I guess those wheels are sort of like the crager SS which are also timeless great choice gamb
I totally appreciate her attention to detail, like cleaning behind the lights and talking about dry ice blasting the wheel wells. Sarah is awesome👏
The 80s vibe of the postproduction is awesome, love it.

I love watching these transformations. No one does it better. The video production is so good and I love the 80s synth music. Nice touch.
The 80`s fish net jersey was very appropriate 😊

I was going to let Sarah know about the prop rods, but you beat me to it. 👍
(Oh, though, if they don't move, they may just be stiffeners. )
This is the reveal I've been waiting for. VERY NICE wheels, I was afraid they might be black, which I am so tired of seeing. When you see a dry patch when your spraying paint, have another gun with only reducer in it, and lightly spray over the dry patch, and it's gone. 😊

Hey that’s pretty neat
@@SarahnTuned - the louvers gives them that *nioce* razorback look. I know my next generation one would look great with the long hatch shape.

Sarah, you are absolutely the the best content creator on RUclips.
I have to concur with eerokutale, nobody goes to lengths of detail you do, you need to make some brass badges saying “rebuilt by Sarah n tune” 🇦🇺
Sag repair was pretty damn slick!

Those wheels look amazing on the Celica Supra! You did a perfect job selecting wheels.

Edit: that grin from Charlie on first look says it all.
Looks waaaay better with the new wheels !!! As usual, you knocked it out of the park !!
Your injections of 80s style edits are getting better and better.
The satisfaction, not to mention the joy, when you corrected the sag issues on the respray was palpable through the tube. NOICE one!
