There is confusion whether the starting side or ending side of start and run coils are to be connected for a common wire. I.e. some RUclips videos says you can take one of end wire and start side of start wire for common. Another tuber says either the starting side of both starting and running to be taken for correct common wire Some tuber says only the end side of both start and running to be connected as common. 2. Secondly, when u see the fan running from top whether it should run on clock wise or anti clockwise for giving good sir. 3. What should be the correct gauge and no. Of turns each for starting and running coil. 4. How to find ceiling fan watts when no such watts data is provided by the company. Pls explain this in this answer column to my comment.

I believe that capacitor provides a third phase from the two phases in order to supply the three phase motor from a single phase. the phase shift through the cap is around 90 degrees but not 120 degrees as required. Local laws prevent motors larger than 1HP from this type of connection.
I tried to read resistance. B-Y gave a reading on the second lowest resistance which is 2k but R-B and R-Y needed a higher resistance like 200k. What should I do in this situation?

If there is a small difference between the start & run winding resistance. Then you can change direction like shown. But in most cases the start has a much larger resistance & cannot be swapped. But if there where 4 wires from the motor, 2 starting & 2 running, then it can be swapped. By swapped the start wires around. Or by swapping the run winding. It's better explained with a diagram.
