It's your channel, so good on the push back on the trolls.
Thank you kindly
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov Troll!
For me I don't understand why bully or troll people for what OS they are using. I would say I'm one of the few Linux people who doesn't care what OS you are using as long it works. For me I love all OSes; Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, IOS (and other Apple mobile OS). They all have negatives and positives. For me I prefer Linux over others but recommend others for other reasons.
Thanks for being civil
@@Britec09It's not about bullying or blaming Windows 11 entirely.
If there's a lot of people who suffer from performance issues and instability & inconsistencies, or perhaps degradation on their system then it's not bullying, it's a concern about what has been Microsoft do to their newest OS (Windows 11).
So 70% market share of Windows 10 is just a FACT proof that there's something wrong with Windows 11.
@@Dude_99981 Those people have the option and freedom to choose other OS to use.
The problem is when those people or people around them start bashing peoples who uses the said "Problematic OS" or people who are teaching others how to install it and such.
That's bullying.
Personally, I have a laptop with Win 11, and a desktop with Win 10. Each have their own problems at times, performance is pretty much the same.
@Britec09 you're welcome. Love your content since the XP days. You got me wanted to learn more about computers at a really young age.
@jeuno880 I don't know mate, personally I still find it that Windows 11 is still in progress.
It still half baked in my own opinion.
Well said Brian.
To all the people out there who are on about Britec09, RUclips channel. If you will cause problems, why not stay off this channel.
Windows 11 since the beginning has come a long way.
Oh and if you worrying about toggling off things or using Group Policy Editor, and you find that too "hard" to do, then simply go away.
To Brian, I've been watching your connect for a while now, and have learned a ton! I do admit I do at times have to go back to your videos to see how it is done but at least let's be there. And I'm sure many other people are happy and learning from your content. Keep doing what you doing!
Take care.

Hi Brian, as MicroStuft dumped IE for a public domain Chrome clone Edge, which runs quite well. Win ventured into a Linux workaround few years ago,
How good would a full MicroStuft Linux be? Would that sort the trolls? And give a better os with existing app compatibility?
I use Start 11 and have it customised exactly the same as Brian’s, I love it and think it’s the best start menu ever.

Due mainly to your videos on Windows 11, I left Windows 10 for 11 for my new PC, I run Linux (Mint) on another PC, and agree with you Linux has a ways to go to fully replace Windows, at least for myself, been happy on Windows 11 with no issues, thanks for your informative videos.

Will this work on the USA edition. Or is this for the international edition only.
You tell em Brian. A Linux user left a message for me saying "Stop using Windows and start using Linux. Linux golden age is coming." which made me laugh. 👍

One of the security back doors in Windows 11 is that local accounts on your computers can be hacked when another user guesses the password to go inside a folder.
then make a good password?
This isn't an issue.

Hi, Brian. How do you feel about as of Windows 11 24H2 Update, CPUs that don't have POPCNT, instruction set SSE4A for AMD, and SSE4.2 for Intel your Windows 11 system will not work?

No
If using windows pro/home, the bloatware apps would reappear however, you can simply right click and uninstall them. As for Windows Settings changes, windows registry changes or group policy changes, those should remain as is, even after a full windows update e.g. 23h2 to 24h2.

BTW, is there any way to perform the equivalent of selecting "English (World)" during an OEM setup of Windows 11 on a pre-built PC? The initial prompt there is "Is this the right country or region?" There is no "No" option, only a "Yes" button under a list of what looks like every country in the world, and "English (World)" is not one of these options. TIA!
Thank you Brian for another good video
@@joshuahernandez-th6ov Mate keep your comments to yourself I'm not interested in your B.S.

Good video for how to set up a new Win11 system for beginners. O&O shutup is good app to use. Also puttning in 'block adresses' in Windows hostfile.
5:44 Here I like to use 'open shell' program to have the classic start menu.
I like the results of this method. I will be installing W11(in a VM) following the steps you outline here to see how it goes.
Agree people like me like Linux and I like Fedora and it looks cool but I dual boot since Linux doesn't offer most applications but you can run with wine but it's not perfect. It is really a preference it's like whether you like iOS or android I prefer android but it depends what you need. I used to have a iPhone.
Do you know how to install KDE? Gnome is what made me quit using Ubuntu.
Well done Brian. I like your tutorials and find them very informative. I too don't give a toss what operating system other people are using. I recently bought a mini pc pre-loaded with W11 Pro as I found my W10 pc was starting to get a bit glitchy. I am finding 11 Pro to be ok for my needs thanks to some of your tutorials so I am now considering dual booting my W10 pc with possibly Zorin OS to play with and will eventually delete W10 as the pc dates back to 2014, may even look at some sensible hardware upgrades. Keep on showing people what they can do with their pc's, they will then be in a position to make changes if they so wish.
Thanks for watching

In my opinion i prefer using ntlite for better setup experience
Your channel has helped me a lot for some years now! Keep it coming!
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for sharing your setups. I normally do all stuff manually. I use the old windows 10 debloater Sycnex. There are a bunch of debloaters but you're right you have to take care about things you disable. I have tried start11 startallback but i prefer explorer patcher for my start menu. It's crazy that we have to do all these process to have a windows ready for our use. Hopefully Microsoft will take note. As they did with windows 8 and its update windows 8.1 . how are you doing with games? I have some that used to work well in windows 10 but not in windows 11. Have you tried to change your account picture manually by selecting a picture? windows 11 will send you an error. Selecting spotlight as a background image not always works. The fonts do not always match, You can increase the size of them in accessibility menu. the fonts of the new ui will change but with others menus like context menus look small. lol anyways sometimes is just funny to make this windows works but for some people who don't have enough knowledge is just a big deal. many are recurring to RUclips channel because Microsoft always answers the same sfc/scannow ..lol
Hey Brian. I am totally sympathetic. This channel has over the years been more helpful in developing my computer skills than any other. Thanks for your honest video Brian. I'm using similar way to get my Windows 10/11 to look like your pc. For me the worst thing about Windows 11 is the right click menu and the top in file explorer. Just ignore those i****s, just do what you do best. I always watch your videos and learned a lot from it. Thank you very much.
personally i prefer tools like NTLite, its just so simple to use and the free version is more powerful than the chris titus one not even talking about the bought version. there are many presets etc. and one can add reg keys whilst installing and some settings are done with GPO already used. one can even skip the whole account setup and start with a user already done. for debloating a custom ISO is probably the best
a slight nitpick i have with some of the vids, is that they are somewhat unstructured. ofc doing more structured vids would take more time and for long vids it becomes longer to plan. example the GPO vid where rather than doing all computer settings first and then switching to user it was a bit of a mix, the vid ofc did help me immensely, but a bit more structure would rly be nice.
people saying linux will rise are dumb, its still far too complicated to use with stability/compatibility issues for normal users
You should use Linux Mint. I still although use Win 11, but honestly, it can never replace my linux daily driver. But if am to compare objectively between Windows and Linux in 2024, linux is gradually gaining over Windows, and that's mainly since Win 10. I started using dual booting right after Win 7, and after the past 11-12 years, I've always been happier using linux. I do light video editing+gaming apart from my work, and for that, I don't feel like using Windows. I use Win only for my kids coz their schools don't even know what's linux. However, that doesn't mean Windows should be bamned or something. I spent more years as a Windows user than linux, but then I got disappointed and found Linux Mint, which seemed like a lifesaver, and now after using most major linux distros, I don't think I'm ever gonna look back. I wish I could use pure and functional linux phones too, unlike Pine Phone, which is disgusting. Precisely, I use both Android and Windows apart from my linux machines, and I'll probably have to maintain Windows for a few more years, which is why I subscribed Brian's channel here but I'll always gonna use linux on my main machines. Anyway, I like this channel and hope ain't hurting anyone's feelings.
Love your channel very helpful. I love Linux but 2 programs wonr work on Linux. My laptop wont run Linux. I have used Windows since 3.1 and always something new to learn. No system is truly better than another. depends on usage and layout preference. There is room for all and no one should rubbish one over another. Keep up the good work
I am not sure that after windows updates, these changes will remain as compiled here. Including Group policy settings. And after the update, you have to check every time that something has not been destroyed. In other systems, there is a completely different belief that updates do not destroy this kind of changes.
Microsoft has confirmed bitlocker encryption will be enabled by default in Windows 11 24H2 Home & Pro. Brian can you make a video on the registry hack to block it.
