Was it really filmed at Abbey Road Studios.
Definitely the original recording was made there., but this colour film is recreation of events for a 1968 TV special by Ajax films.
In the credits they say filmed in Sydney and Melbourne. Much less expensive to use a clip of the Abbey Road view from the street and then just film the Seekers in an Australian recording studio.
A very convincing recreation of events.
Hard to imagine in 1964 that a new unknown group would have their first recording session filmed in colour at such high quality. Sending the Seekers and film crews to the UK just for the UK based segments back then is also very unlikely when they could get such a convincing result far less expensively in Australia.
The magic of good film makers.

from the harmonies Sheray you wont be surprised , The Seekers started out as a folk and gospel group, The Seekers - featuring the golden soprano voice of Judith Durham, and soothing harmonies of Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley ....Just a Soul music of the 60s and todate has its roots in Gospel . The Seekers sound too came from their deeply spiritual and religious beliefs . Judith RIP passed away in 2022 , from broncial illness that she had suffered all her life.....The SEEKERS from Australia were flown to England in 1964 in the middle of Beatle Mania they became overnight superstars with huge record sales in the U.S and UK and Worldwide ....50 million records ...a band that performed catchy angelic harmonies

A really nice reaction ❤💐! I see 👁👁 that you have reacted to The Seekers before: The Carnival Is Over and I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony). I'll Never Find Another You was released as a non-album single from The New Seeker's in 1964. It was written and produced by Tom Springfield. The song reached #2 on the Easy Listening chart and #4 on the Hot 100. The song went to #1 in the UK and Australia. This was the biggest-selling single in Britain of 1965. It reached #1 in The Seekers' native Australia and it became the first song by an Australian group to reach #1 outside of Australia. The first time the song appeared on an album was 1968 when The Seekers released: Live At The Talk Of The Town. This performance was filmed at Abbey Road Studios in London, England- the recording home of many of The Beatles hit songs and albums.
The song was added to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia's Sounds of Australia registry in 2011.
In July 2018, the tune was featured in a Westpac bank TV advertisement in Australia, covered by Julia Jacklin.
    The (New) Seekers Info 📰:
The Seekers were an Australian Folk-influenced Pop group originally formed in Melbourne in 1962. They were the first Australian Pop music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States. They were especially popular during the 1960s, with their best-known configuration of Judith Durham on vocals, piano and tambourine; Athol Guy on double bass and vocals; Keith Potger on twelve-string guitar, banjo and vocals; and Bruce Woodley on guitar, mandolin, banjo and vocals.
The group had Top 10 hits in the 1960s with their singles: "I'll Never Find Another You", "A World Of Our Own", "Morningtown Ride", "Someday, One Day", "Georgy Girl" and "The Carnival Is Over". Australian music historian Ian McFarlane described their style as "concentrated on a bright, uptempo sound, although they were too pop to be considered strictly Folk and too Folk to be Rock". In 1967, they were named as joint "Australians of the Year" - the only group thus honored. In July 1968, Judith Durham left the group in order to pursue a solo career and the group disbanded. Keith Potger formed a new group in the UK, The New Seekers, which had a hit single in 1971 with the single: "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing".
In 1967, The Seekers represented Australia at Expo 67 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Where they appeared on television in Australia via the first satellite transmission from the United States to Australia.
In 1995, The Seekers were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. The group's song: "I'll Never Find Another You", was added to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia's Sounds of Australia registry in 2011. Bruce Woodley's and Dobe Newton's song: "I Am Australian", which was recorded by The Seekers as well as Judith Durham with Russell Hitchcock and Mandawuy Yunupingu, has become an unofficial Australian anthem. With "I'll Never Find Another You" and "Georgy Girl", the group also achieved success in the United States, but not nearly at the same level as in the rest of the world. The Seekers have sold over 50 million records worldwide and were individually honored as Officers of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honors of June 2014.
Group Break Up And Reunions 🎭:
Following The Seekers' split, Judith Durham pursued a solo career. She released a Christmas album called: For Christmas With Love, and later signed with A&M Records, releasing more albums including: Gift Of Song and Climb Ev'ry Mountain. Athol Guy hosted his own TV show in Australia titled: A Guy Called Athol, before entering politics in 1973. In 1969, Keith Potger formed and managed a new group called: The New Seekers, in the UK who also charted highly with their successful song: "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)". Bruce Woodley released several solo albums and focused on songwriting, including co-writing the patriotic song: "I Am Australian", with Dobe Newton (of The Bushwackers) in 1987.
From 1972, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley planned on reforming The Seekers without Judith Durham. By 1975 they had recruited Louisa Wisseling, a semi-professional Folk singer formerly with Melbourne group The Settlers. They had a top 10 Australian hit with the Bruce Woodley-penned single: "The Sparrow Song". Bruce Woodley left the group in June 1977 and was replaced by Buddy England, a former 1960s Pop singer and member of The Mixtures. In 1978, Athol Guy was replaced by Peter Robinson (of The Strangers) and Cheryl Webb replaced Louisa Wisseling as lead vocalist, leaving only Keith Potger from the original The Seekers group line-up.
In 1980 the group released an album: A Little Bit Of Country, and toured periodically until the mid 1980s. In 1988, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley reformed The Seekers with Julie Anthony, a cabaret singer. In May, the group sang: "The Carnival Is Over", at the World Expo 88 in Brisbane, Australia. In March 1989, the group released the album: Live On, which peaked in the top 30 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart. In June 1990, Julie Anthony left and was replaced by Karen Knowles, a former teen Pop singer on Young Talent Time. However the distinctive timbre of Judith Durham's voice was missing from their sound and the group split again.
The Seekers reunited late in 1992, with the classic line-up of Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley. In March 1992, all four had met together for the first time in 20 years at a restaurant in Toorak, an inner suburb of Melbourne. Before then they had never talked about reforming, they just wanted to get to know each other again. It was two months later that they decided to do a reunion concert, which led to a 102-date concert tour. The 25-Year Silver Jubilee Reunion Celebration tour in 1993 was sufficiently successful that the group continued to perform and record together, on and off, until shortly before Judith Durham's passing in August of 2022.
    Judith Durham Passing 👼:
Judith Durham was born with asthma and at age four she caught measles, which left her with a life-long chronic lung disease, bronchiectasis. Judith Durham passed away from the disease at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne on 5 August 2022, at age 79. She was given a state memorial service by the state of Victoria on September 6, 2022, at Hamer Hall. Judith Durham was laid to rest along side her husband Ron Edgeworth at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, located in Springvale, Australia.

I'd like to see you do a reaction to "I Am Australian" by the Seekers. There's a great version here on RUclips titled "I Am Australian: Special Farewell Performance (all 5 verses)".
