As a software engineer driving towards a critical delivery myself, I feel your pain. Better to release a good product that works and is fit for function than "meet the date" but with critical problems.

Im extremely grateful for the open communication about the delay. Yes its disappointing BUT it would be even more frustrating to get a module that has major problems. Thank you HeatBlur for keeping your modules in the highest quality of DCS modules ever!
Users can appreciate the effort you folks put in and the honesty you represent. In an age of "two weeks" being the joke for updated release dates, the more legitimate-sounding date extension and detailed transparency goes a long way. I've been in love with the F-14 since you released it and am willing to be patient for the same love and care on your next modules.

In the last update the F-16 datalink was broken or when they updated the radar of the 16 and 18 you could lock targets on the ground with the radar like fire or tanks. Dont be a kid and say the 15 its broken cuz all of them are, the Strike Eagle it had from far a more complete EA than the F-18 or 16 featuring way more stuff than they did and also has some stuff that they dont have at the moment (like a comples datalink or a good radar model for example) Please, we are very bad used to this

No, we don't. In any other industry, in any other organization this would be unacceptable. I'm not sure who is worse in developing products based on release schedules, ED or HB. They are both abysmal. Yes, before we go down the justification rabbit hole. I develop in UE5 extensively. I understand release schedules, I understand product development. I understand the complexities of bringing products to market.

Yes, it will be the most accurately modelled and detailed module in DCS. A work of passion and dedication. A dream come true for retired F4 crews and aviation fans… … but most of the people that bought this module will quickly realise they have bitten off way more than they can chew and it’s going to be hilarious.

I think recent game releases prove that trying to meet deadlines almost always results in poorer products. Better to release a good product late than a bad product on time. I’m excited to fly this when it’s ready
Yep, and if I was a game developer, I'd take this as a lesson to scrap the idea of deadlines or at least put a nice fat buffer on the date. That way you can avoid all of the spoiled little cry babies and might even look like a hero when your product is ready ahead of said date 🤣

wow man the amount of real mathematics and physics thrown into this plane is just brutal, and im not even speaking on the mind-blowing visuals (1:44) , now i understand why this costs the same as a AAA game
