    Thank you CNA for making this brave reporting. Love scammers are flourishing since several years, and they are becoming more & more sophisticated and organised. That means anyone of us can be scammed any day and any way. I know of people who were scammed and were too embarrassed to share with their families and friends. One of them has her family broken up. Let's not shame the scammed victims, they are not "stupid". The scammers are just too sophisticated & organised in their syndicates. Let's be empathetic towards the scammed victims. Again, thank you CNA for daring to make this report. My hat off for you!

    One important aspect you missed to cover is that most victims initially find the proposal suspicious but they would start out with a small amount of money to test the platform. Next, they see their money grow and the scammer would let them withdraw the profits a few times to gain their trust and drive their ego. Then one day, the scammer will tell them that the trend is very good now and ask them to invest much larger amounts of money but only that time, they won't be able to withdraw and both the scammer and the platform will disappear.

    • @Alexg1561-t4m
      @Alexg1561-t4m 2 года назад +9

      Wow. I remember feeling super suspicious myself and slightly (ever so slightly) considered doing a very small investment to test the platform. One thing for women to keep in mind when a seemingly-perfect Tinder "match" becomes interested in them: what do you have that they would look at you? And why would these "successful" men be on Tinder where eligible women would practically be throwing themselves at them?
    This is not to insult anyone. Rather, a relationship needs both parties to pull their weight. A rich, charming and successful man would fall for a downtrodden and lonely woman only in fairy tales. If more women would be honest with themselves, the number of victims would drop significantly.

    This sort of crime is a staple in Nigeria and has a lot of Nigerians perpetrating or scamming people home and abroad. It has reached pandemic levels and thankfully is being addressed both by the legislative through the passing of bills to effectively deal and direct the judiciary in their duties and also by ant-graft agencies through investigations who track down and trace the laundered proceeds of these crimes. It is sad that a person's honest feelings and emotions are used to hurt them in such a manner when they sincerely are vulnerable and human. There's no excuse for such manipulative behaviour.
