Incline bench DB curls gives me a great stretch at the insertion to the forearm.. I dropped the weight to focus on a safe stretch until I felt it had strengthened to increase the load. I use these in a try-set of 21s: 1 incline curls, 2 standing curls, 3 hammer curl - doing 3-4 try-sets and followed by sets of heavy spider sets - I find this really makes my arms grow

So glad I found this episode. My arms (particularly biceps) are much smaller relative to the chest and shoulders which looks kind of weird at certain angles. I never full realized where the value came from switching up angles, elbow placement and hand placement until now. No one ever explained it to me!

Here are my top exercises for each (in no particular order).
Triceps:
- dips (especially weighted)
- tricep push-ups (also divebomber push-ups)
- close-grip bench press
- single-arm cable push-down
- incline tricep extensions
- bodyweight tricep extensions
Biceps:
- close-grip pull-ups / chin-ups
- standard/hammer/reverse curl
- incline curl
- behind-the-back cable curl
- spider curl

When I try to split, my legs don't open up as wide. I have thought, until I could, I'll get my hips back.
....but I do not know if this is the right way to get my hips back.

About the full stretch position for the preacher curls: I'm leary to do this because I've heard it's possible to tear your bicep doing this. Is that a legit concern?
Train the muscles not the joints.
Start light! Don't push the stretch position with a weight you can barely control or need body movement to curl.
@@MindPumpShow Roger that bois. I don't go crazy on weights for bicep curls, I use weights that I can usually get about 5-8 reps in. Hopefully that's not too much? I suppose the bicep tear video I saw was some Olympic guy doing a curl, and my skinny weak ass is hardly an Olympic Chad. But I have hear about it besides that vid.

Sounds like you have poor flexibility or perhaps some physiological impediment. That's just a guess though, based on a horrible description of the problem lol.
