Dr. Berg, I love watching all of your videos. Has helped so much. I'd love a video that ties together minerals and vitamins. I have seen you do it a time or two, but very briefly. I'd love a video just dedicated to the role of each of the more essential minerals have for certain vitamins.. maybe I just haven't found that video yet? I noticed many here say they get enough vitamin C.. but what if the underlying issue really is a lack of zinc? For instance, many may not be able to process zinc properly, which may lead to a deficiency in nutrients (like vitamin C) that may be crucial in bone, tooth, and connective tissue development. For instance, according to one study, those with a certain type of EDS, may have mutant ZIP13 proteins. I have found for myself, that correcting the zinc in my body, has helped tremendously with being able to correct other deficiencies. Also I'd love to know if there is any way to figure out if this mutant ZIP13 protein can be "fixed" without any type of gene therapy but possibly something may be lacking? I know that magnesium needs potassium for the pump action.. could there be something deficient that would cause the ZIP13 protein mutated? Could fixing that deficiency possibly reverse the mutation? (this is out of my league, so if the question isn't applicable, its because I just don't know)
hi people, just my two cents but try oil pulling with coconut oil for twenty minutes a day and floss. every night. FLOSS EVERY NIGHT. Edit: if you are not cleaning your teeth properly all the vitamins you take can’t allow your body to clean house. it’s like sending in a decorator into a dirty house without getting the cleaning crew in there. you have to clean your mouth on a physical level (flossing) so your body can clean on a cellular or molecular level.
I have mild periodontal disease and noticed that my gums are loose even after scaling and root planing. I heard Vitamin C does cause gums to grow back so I am trying to take it everyday because I feel like my bottom two teeth will have gum recession. I already have thin gums. Hopefully this works for me since I am going through a lot regarding my teeth.
You are the best. Your explanations are rather easy to understand for us who don't have English as our 1th language. So thank you for sharing so many interesting videos.

Vitamin c is real good. One of my teeth feels like loosen, and it hurt everytime I touch it, I took 500mg vitamin c at night, the next morning it just feel better, the pain reduce alot almost gone. I just took it for 2 days. I think it help strengthen the gum. I have some gum recession too, will continue take the it to see if there is any improvement.
I have this very same problem. I went to the dentist no plaque or any other problems. It's just that I uses a hard brush and I also brush vigorously. I got each filled out for $150 each😠😠😠 so now I only use a soft toothbrush and I'm more gentle. I also uses Colgate total and sensodine to aid in easing the discomfort when I eat or drink hot or cold food/drink.
How did you get them filled out? What was it like and what’s the name of the procedure? I was recommended the invasive gum graft surgery for 800 a tooth... and I have 4 teeth that need it yikes. Please let me know, thank you!
i had a problem with sensitive teeth, i solved it by eliminating added sugars, dairy and wheat from my diet. For substitutes you can eat fruits for sugar, theres coconut and soya milk and theres oats, rice lentils etc.
Doctor Berg, I hope you read my comment : I've localised, advanced gum recession. My front teeth are about to fall. I tried vitamin C 1000mg which made me feel better, only feel better. I had calcium and zinc too. Please let me know what I can take now if this all didn't work, I take full responsibility. I'm not in the US. Thank you
Dr. Berg. I understand the science concerning Vitamin C. With that said, I have a mystery for you. I have receding gums and dental issues. I have sauerkraut twice a day. A LOT of sauerkraut. We make it ourselves from red cabbage. I begin my day with a whole organic lemon pressed into 8 ounces of RO-filtered water. And I take a whole vitamin C Complex supplement that is 100% natural, non-synthteitc, 3 times daily. I have been on this protocol for 18 months now. I have had gingivitis issues my whole life as many in my family have, but - _and here is the mystery_ - the one time in my life that I had no dental problems and my dentist told me that I had reversed my gum disease, was an 8 month period in which I took in ZERO vitamin C. I had no supplements. I had no fruits or vegetables. I had no spices. I ate beef ( mostly hamburger and ribeye ). I had salt on that beef. I drank water. That's it. Nothing else. It was not easy. But it cured some serious digestive issues I was experiencing, which was my purpose for trying it. And it also, as a surprise side effect, cured half a dozen other things as well, one of which was gum disease. My dentist was extremely curious. According to him, he had never had a patient in the entirety of his career that reversed gum disease. He had patients who successfully _managed_ gum disease, but mine practically disappeared after 6 months. So, *_how_* is it that my gum disease reversed when I was taking in zero vitamin C, but came back after I reintroduced the foods I eat now . . . basically following your own dietary protocol? I think there is something else going on that we do not understand. Any ideas?
Apparently, a pure carnivore diet is very good at healing all kinds of ailments in the body. Coupled with the action of not consuming plant foods, sugar and carbs, I've heard how that has helped others overcome conditions such as bleeding or inflamed gums, amongst many other things.
I will try to boost my Vitamin C but other factors contribute to the recession; poor oral hygiene, age, overbrushing with a hard bristle toothbrush, and bite pressure - especially if you grind or clench your teeth.
Mine have suddenly all started doing it over the last couple of months really fast on every tooth and my front teeth have developed steps at the top either side of the centre two where they have moved forward, when they were all nice and level the bottom ones have become more crowded, Proper depressing. I've always looked after my teeth well. My Mrs said she woke in the middle of the night and I was grinding seriously bad, really noisy she said. Have a dentist in two weeks but I'm wondering if the grinding at night has caused all this. I bought a mouth guard that moulds and have started wearing it at night.

Would inflammation on the gums be a sign of low Vitamin C? I've had this for YEARS. . since I was a fat out of shape unhealthy kid, to now a fit healthier adult, still have bleeding gums in random parts of mouth after brushing. This is what the dentist, more than one of them, has mentioned to me in past years when I visited for check ups. And as for flossing.. wow . like walking on egg shells - I got to be very careful with each tooth. I rub too hard with the floss, automatic bleeding. .

Alexa N, apparently not, so addressing any recession is important. 2yrs ago, Tina Miller posted that she chewed a cap of CoQ10 & also took it internally & to her Dentist's surprize the gums 'came back' in a short time. CoQ is an antioxidant, I'm told. I've tried this, but I have advanced gum disease, & I must admit, I haven't done it every day, & should. Good food, good hydration & enough sleep. Avoid junk & sugary things, except for rare occasions. Better than loss of gum tissue, because shortly after that is bone loss & then lost teeth!! Not much fun, I can tell you!

Make a list of Veg & fruit high in Vit C & choose something from that list every day. Green leafy vegetables are especially good for us, but so are berries, etc.. And I think it's called 'Amla'?

Dr Berg, I value your advice very much. I suspected that vit c is super important in the health of gums. But I have some sort of problem with this vitamin. From childchood I was mad on fruits rich in vit C. I was as mad that I've developed copper defficiency from an excess of vit c. So I surely had too much of vit c. But it could be some other interplay of this vitamin or other things that my gums recede (otherwise I have generally healthy teeth in my mid 60s). I do suspect hat in my case and for many other people the hot paprica or cayenne pepper applied on gums regularly may do a miracle by improving circulation and providing vit c. Any other suggestion for my specific case? Thanks
I eat and have been eating all my life tons of vitamin C rich foods and still have severe receding gums.On top of it, I have hashimoto's, eczema, and I'm glutathione deficient.I don't like popping pills, and haven't taken any type of medication (other than my bioidentical slow release thyroid medication ) in over 20 years. I think it's about time to start taking some vitamin C supplements before my mouth will look like my 89 year old grandma.
Thanks for the information. I had never heard that vitamin C was a product that is good for the gums. I will try to increase my intake and see if I have positive results.
Try lowering to at least 500 mg and experiment with those to see if any results arise. If not, then you can use the 1000mg, but if you are having the problems he has described despite taking the supplement, my friend, do see a dentist and ask for their opinion on the subject matter (go for the least expensive appointment possible) Reason why I'm saying is because I do not wish for you to have too much of something in the body, as it could potentially have negative effects rather than the good effects it is intended to. Its also be a good idea to try doing it once every day or two

I didn't know why she had so many dental issues because this was the kid who never ate her Halloween candy and had to hide it from me. After countless hours try to figure it out because the dentists was no help I wonder if she had bad gut bacteria from years of antibiotics given to her for various childhood illness. I tried every probiotic I thought might help and nothing. I was taking grapefruit seed extract because it knocks out the flu and colds in no time. I decided what if she have a bacterial infection that is too strong for probiotics, so I gave her the gse increased her vitamin C, and her teeth are white and strong for the first time in her life. It also cleared up her years of horrible gas and bloating that ASV or nothing else helped. Now at 23 we're trying to figure out how to reverse her receding gums. But for now we're at least graceful we were able to stop the progression.

(this is out of my league, so if the question isn't applicable, its because I just don't know)
NicoleM You ask some GREAT questions !
How did you correct your zinc ostensible deficiency?
How did you know you were deficient in zink
hi people, just my two cents but try oil pulling with coconut oil for twenty minutes a day and floss. every night.
Please update on your gum. Im having gum recession.
You are the best. Your explanations are rather easy to understand for us who don't have English as our 1th language. So thank you for sharing so many interesting videos.

I'm so glad I found your channel. You seem to be the only professional on RUclips that knows what heck you're talking about.
Ok that’s cool… but if you get out of breath walking up stairs, you’re out of shape. I don’t think that means someone’s deficient in vit c lol
Hi dr Eric. Thank you so much for your utubes. I never even thought my receding gums came from lack of vitamin C who knew ?
I brush after each meal always because I hate the taste of food after I eat so I brush perhaps 15 minutes or sooner
I don't smoke drink alcohol or don't take any drugs of any kind not even aspirin I try to eat well but sometimes I just don't eat enough veggies fruit I try I do love them so it's not from ..
Wondering how can I repair them naturally the dentist " never make honest suggestions sad but true. Like coconut pulling
Does it really work or is it another snake oil treatment ?
Also I had gone to dentist a few years ago to have my teeth professionally whiten how silly is that ... and burned my gum and never healed
I went to other dentist and said they couldn't do anything. I still have the messy looking are in front of mouth on gum
Can coconut pulling heal ?
Thank you for all you do be well God Bless
Divine Angelic yes it can heal them i have tried it and it worked
@@stylishkuri6305 What healed your gums? Vitamin C or oil pulling?
Taking rosehip pill, for collagen production. Its a vitamin C also. My gums have been slowly receding and need to do something asap. Thanks

Thank you very much. Same to you!
Is there natural herbs and spices and homemade paste we can make to help with calcium coating on the tooth surface and gums?
Dr. Berg, could you talk about teeth regeneration /regrow using stem sells and some sort of medicine to fight off a type of protein that prevents the body to regrow /regenerate teeth?!

Dr Eric Bergh, is 2000mg a day of vitamin C= 1000mg morning and 1000mg evening ok to take or can be harmful? and how much of vitamin c a day is safe to take without side effect? Thank you so much for posting your videos, I learned a lot from you....
You are of great help to mankind. Thanks.
Update?
Did your gum grow back? Please update.

Thank you
increase vitamin c to 2000mg and add collagen in your diet or supplement
Try k2, zinc, magnesium, vitamin c, vit d & collagen
Make sure they’re the good most bioavailable forms too
Dr.
Any ideas?
@Truth Stands Out I'm not Brother Breeze, but he says only beef, salt, and water. No fruits, vegetables, spices, or supplements.
That is fascinating. Are you still on this diet today? Have you made any modifications or tweaks?
Apparently, a pure carnivore diet is very good at healing all kinds of ailments in the body. Coupled with the action of not consuming plant foods, sugar and carbs, I've heard how that has helped others overcome conditions such as bleeding or inflamed gums, amongst many other things.
My understanding from the research is that carnivore style diet significantly reduces the need for vitamin C
♥️🦷💪😎THANK YOU Dr Berg, NO NO NO fake vitamin C from pills and YES YES YES real vitamin C from good organic food!!!
You're welcome. Thanks for your comment. Stay safe and healthy!
What about acerola powder? I take this with amazing results
Will it help to regrow back my gums? I'm freaking out because I have always had very healthy teeth. No cavities or fillings at 45. Pls help
No, it just helps reduce swelling, bleeding and curing gum disease.

Awesome, yes this started happening to me due to insulin resistance so I had to stop eating as much fruit as it kept spiking my blood sugar.
Dr. Berg ... why aren't you monetizing your videos? Such good info ... you should get some payment out of it at least! Thank you!
I rub too hard with the floss, automatic bleeding. .

ONCE RECEDING IF THE LACK OF VITAMIN C IS FIXED, DOES IT UN- RECEDE?
Do a video on what makes a vitamin a vitamin.

I love your videos they are informative and perfect thank you so much
Sailendra Baliga, Eric Berg mentions Bell Peppers as an example. Dont just stick to one thing. Increase the vit C in your meals through a variety of things that are in season...eat them fresh & raw. Make a list of Veg & fruit high in Vit C & choose something from that list every day. Green leafy vegetables are especially good for us, but so are berries, etc.. And I think it's called 'Amla'?
just take the pills

Thanks for the information. I had never heard that vitamin C was a product that is good for the gums. I will try to increase my intake and see if I have positive results.
Any change
Did you forget about telling us the result? I’ve been waiting for 3 years.
2000 mg per day - and I have all those problems he talked about anyway. Supplement form 1am 1pm. Do I need more?
No, please, no. Isn't that already too much?
I don’t think so - each tab is 1000mg.
Try lowering to at least 500 mg and experiment with those to see if any results arise. If not, then you can use the 1000mg, but if you are having the problems he has described despite taking the supplement, my friend, do see a dentist and ask for their opinion on the subject matter (go for the least expensive appointment possible)
Reason why I'm saying is because I do not wish for you to have too much of something in the body, as it could potentially have negative effects rather than the good effects it is intended to. Its also be a good idea to try doing it once every day or two
Qwerp -Thank you very much

Where were you wen i needed you the most Dr. For five yrs now I been suffering from receding gum due to periodontitis & can't get get over it & you making me believe is due to bad healthy eating n vitamin c defensiency 👍✌
How is your gums now?
My daughter who was a teenager at the time had receding gums and loose teeth. The dentist wanted to do some crazy procedure where they would cut this or that out replacing it with some other crazy thing and thank goodness it didn't sound right so I said no way. But for now we're at least graceful we were able to stop the progression.
when her gums started receding did she have any really bad cavities, cracked teeth or any crowns already or root canals??
@Chalet N we eat real butter but she did have a problem with fats. If she ate too much it made her stomach upset. She's not a big fan of fats but she tolerate it a lot better now.

Well you do need glycine and proline and alanine etc. They are not technically essential amino acids but I think its quite possible to be deficient .

Hi doctor berg! Is there any way to reverse receding gums? I know many people say it is not possible. Just trying my luck here...
It is possible . its easy . understand anything in your body can be healed . the body heals itself u just need to either give it what it needs as fuel or stop putting things in your body and allow your body to reset . my experience with receeding gums and tooth decay . i healed both by doing this , number 1 Prayer . Jesus is faithful to heal you just ask believe and you will recieve. 2 take vitamin c pills atleast 2000mg a day , Oil pull with organic coconut oil 3-4 times weekly , brush your teeth twice daily . go on a fast . maybe 3 day water fast . just taking vitamin c , and oil pulling and brushing twice a day with prayer worked quickly for me .
