At 3:54 I was thinking if black takes on g2, you could gambit your knight by moving knight to c4. If the knight is taken (Qxf3) you capture the bishop with your rook (Rxd7). If the black king recaptures you have a fork on e5 and win the queen. If he does not recapture you have a dominant attacking position with a rook on the seventh and the Queen bishop battery. I have not checked with stockfish but I found this to be quite nice for human level play.
14.16... what about Ba5 check? Forces a block and loss of rook or king to the center where after castle Bd5 is protected with a discovered check coming. Just a thought.
I must say it is reassuring to see that even a titled NM has gets into time trouble too. I face this issue as a 2200 in rapid. I play some rather brilliant games almost completely winning, but my opponent ends up winning with time… I’m not complaining - though frustrated, I understand it’s part of the game.
That first game was very clean, it shows how the Ponziani is not a very usual opening and people mess up a lot against it from what I see how the 2100+ played.
Hi NM Nelson. I'm a big fan of your high quality videos. You're honestly underrated. Could you please make a video about chess psychology because for some reason I just panic and go blank in blitz? Thank you.
2:27:12 doesn't Ba6 work as well? It clears the bishop, blocks the rooks from coming back to defend back rank, and stops the king from defending e1. Oh nevermind, forgot about the promotion issue
Genuine chess question here and I'll try my best to explain my question as its tricky one explain. At 2:35 he wants to castle queen side but can he castle through what appears to be an opposing piece's line of sight? In this situation I'm talking about the black queen staring diagonally down to the B1 square. And this question goes for any other piece. If the King isn't necessarily in check but there's an enemy piece hitting any of the squares between the King and the Rook he wants to castle with. Is that a legal castle? The reason I ask is because I heard many years ago that we can't but just want to know if that's true.
"don't know if I'd have resigned" My brutha, you underestimate the effect of being ≈150elo higher rated than your opponent AND carrying a title like NM. Muggles and mortals like us will see a title and feel like we're losing from the start 😢
It’s only forbidden if the king crosses over (steps on) an endangered square. In this case, B1 was endangered by the white queen but the black king never stepped on it; only the rook did.
Report ughhyusuf. He has a puzzle rating of 2092 thats too weak for a 2100 rated player plus he finds 1600 level puzzles difficult. In a casual game he lost to a 1400 player
I must have said out loud "you've got to move nelson" about 20 times this video! Also, I feel like your style of giving up material early with intent to get an attack is kind of gimmicky in that it's great against weaker players but stronger players with solid play are able to defend then overtake you. I feel like if you focused on playing the openings you know a lot more and playing more solidly that you'd start beating higher rated players. And please believe in yourself more! Thx for the video.
Kramnik: A NM with 100% accuracy? Interesting
With the top engine move to triple f-pawns
"Let's start the procedure"
Lol, I mean it all seemed logical.
That turkishguy who did a6 is carlos magsen
Didnt watch the whole stream but you get a like for that perfect first game!
Chamed-mor got banned I just checked his account
Right after this game
ChamedMor was the real cheater.. 1100 blitz indeed. 100% of moves 6-10 seconds, and common for many of their games.
Suspicious account for sure. Went from 2000 to 2460 in 1 month.
Yes he got banned
Ughhyusuf as well. Has a puzzle rating of 2092.. cant solve simple 1600 level puzzles..loses to 1400 player in a casual game
@@smoothcoder1 I'm a legit 2600 puzzle rating only doing the 3 a day without premium, but only 1100 rapid and 800 blitz.. but I also don't play a lot.

1:32:00 There is also g5 which forks the bishop and queen.
Chess Vibes is a vibe.
I saw another solution....bring bishop back to baseline and defend pawn at start. Queen attained before castle can get there.
Cool puzzle.. question is, would any human be able to calculate that during a game?

They can go to d6

56:06 If you try to fianchetto by playing g6, white has a cool checkmate :)

How people get to 2300 elo i suppose they study tacticts opening and endgame more than lower rated people and play more then them?
Nah they grind Fortnite and the skill issue dif is too big to not be 2300 elo
In the puzzle. What if black leaves the BD6 and plays RD4?
At the end of the first game why couldn’t the c7 pawn take the bishop on b6?
2:26:58 bh3 forces king to g1, re1 mate 😮 I assume stockfish pointed this out in the postgame analysis. Almost turned that around 😢

Intersting!

nope
He didnt castle thru check
had fun knowing NMs too play like me
35:20 You can take back Qg5 if the pony defends.
good games
I also vsed this guy as a 2100 he beat me slightly
Please show the eval bar when doing the reviews. One time you show 10 times not. TY.
People don't realise how big of an impact they make when they cheat against others. It harnesses the momentum players get after playing 100 of games .
Please please ask for a new account. I really want to watch another rating climb series, it is so educational and beneficial

that cheater needed 7 seconds to find an only move but he also needed 7 seconds to find every other move
Hello nelsi
Any chance of changing either the board colour or the highlight colour? Red and green together is terrible for us colourblind viewers.
no
All the other colours are kinda ugly :/

Suspicious too. Max 15 in 3 min puzzle rush. lol
That doesn't really factor much into whether they seem to be cheating. He doesn't give many signs of cheating during actual play.

You need to learn the rules of castling. Basically the king was never in check when castling through so it’s valid.
I think I get it cause the king moves two spaces and was not in check but it still looks wrong.
