- Ultimate Adventure historically consisted of one trail day followed by a road day to get to the next trail, but Christian and Trent have thrown that formula out the window and when you see the crazy trail and insane terrain from this “road day” through West Virginia, you’ll understand Ultimate Adventure 2023, presented by RealTruck, is on a whole different level now.
Since 1999, Ultimate Adventure has been the world's best and longest-running off-road adventure trip of its kind. Participants meet in a different location each year with highly modified 4x4 vehicles equipped to tackle the toughest trails in the nation over a grueling 1,000-plus mile trek held over seven days. But as a double-whammy there are no trailers allowed, so in addition to insane off-road prowess, these crazy trucks, Jeeps, and 4x4s must be able to eat up the road miles as well as the obstacles. All this and the necessity to carry everything needed to live in the bush for a week on end. Nobody but Christian Hazel and Trent McGee know where they're going or what bucket-list locations they'll visit. It's the ultimate test of man and machine, team-building camaraderie, and human as well as mechanical endurance. It's the Ultimate Adventure!

There’s trails like this in Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. Even some like that in Southern Ohio on private property.

is that the Ram from 2004ish UA? i cant believe i stopped watching ultimate adventure, i was HOOKED in 05 after watching the Ultimate avalanche do its thing. and those Black widow custom jeeps.
Those trails looked amazing BUT looks like a pain in the butt to follow a bunch of odd rules

I'd take wearing a helmet in my jeep over not having trails to wheel.

Just in my sxs/4wheeler/dirtbike adventures on hatfield trails there are more of these than you would think you can definitely take fullsize rigs eventually i fell like more will open for everyone to take full size rigs ivy branch also has a few bouncer hills as well
Are those T-ball helmets? They look like they offer as much protection as a ball cap. Why bother?

I don’t get why people run air lockers and stuff for this auto lockers are fool proof and I’ve ran them on the street with no issues the only time I noticed it was when I was hill starting and turning simultaneously
You can ride motorcycles without a helmet but not in a real caged offroad rig?
In WV helmets are required to ride a motorcycle.
Cage needs a helmet.
Too bad everyone is forced to run the same tires. It would be great if there was a mix of tires for the viewers to see how they perform.
No one is forced to run any kind of tire. This year’s tire sponsor offered a deal that most folks couldn’t refuse. Let’s just say they were priced right.
Thing is, those Patagonia's are pretty much THE tire for serious wheeling. You can run whatever you want but those things perform amazing and the prices are great.
Absolute garbage tire for mud. Stickies, swampers, Razer mt..anything with big, chunky lugs is what you want to run in our local terrain.

Helmets are required on Hatfield and McCoy trails. No alcohol allowed, either.
