this is the best comparison in my opinion. it explains so much and the idea to show both trims by changing back and forth, one feature at a time helps alot.
Hi writting from France. This is MY DREAM CAR ! Thank you for this excellent vidéo. 53 Y.o and i have to own a 2016 camaro before 56 ! One exclusive dealer in France, so the price is so so Big.Thanks for this very utile comparison.
Having a 17 2SS I think the best features are the added safety ones which with the diminished visibility in the car, to me, are a must. The camera with back up sensors is great, but you forgot to also mention the cross traffic monitoring that will detect cars coming from left or right out of your view which works awesome. The blind spot monitoring imo should've been included with all trims, but is again a great feature to help you on the road. The homelink is great for me in a gated condo as I can get rid of a remote. Also the heated steering wheel and cooled/heated seats are nice too.
Hey I’m planning on getting the same car /model and year as yours but any issues with it? Came from getting a bmw so it must me obviously more reliable but any issues?
The 1ss is prefect for me I only use the radio I dont really use all the things the 2ss has like heated steering you have to buy based on what you think you need
After watching this video I am so happy I went with the 2SS, and not just a 2SS but a special ordered one...with that it did set me back 52K but I also have forced air induction, basically the same as the ZL1. I did have to get it tuned to get the full effects of the motors potential but it was well worth it.
It was installed aftermarket but before I received the car plus it was figured in with the price. The one they installed was the Magnuson TVS2300....It's not the strongest or the best just the one they use. This same company also does headers, cam & lifters and Nitrus, but did not want it. They strongly advised changing the cam but elected to stay stock. When I dino tuned it, it put out 525 hp to the wheel and my poor rear tires lasted 8,000 miles. It has a terrible 0 to 60 at 4.9 but that is because it spins the whole way...1/4 at Royal Purple Race track is mid 11's with a standard shift and once again I can not get traction. I do have launch mode but I have never used it. I'm 55 years old and not a race car driver...put someone in the car that is I think it would do good. The only downfall I have about it is it makes winding sound all the time.
Scott - wow! That's a very serious problem to have! Lol! No hook up and that super charger whine! Haha! I hope you are enjoying the car. Sounds fantastic 😁
My 1SS did not have the knee pads in the console or door panels. I know some guys who have the RS that are fully loaded makes me wished I had done my homework but it’s still a V8 and looks mean!
well I know which one I will be getting now. I am shocked at how different the features really are for them. I will for sure be getting the 2ss thank you guys!
Thanks for the vid guys, it's awesome! I just bought a 1SS 6 speed manual transmission convertible. Hyper blue with white rally stripes. Like you, I'd have liked the lighting the 2SS offers, but that can be added later, even the door panels and the dealer will add the programming to change the colors. I too have the magnetic ride and dual mode exhaust. I absolutely LOVE this car. GM really outdid themselves. Best of luck with your cars!
Michael S Hey buddy thanks for asking. I plan on doing one in the next couple weeks. I.have a few things Im planning on doing and wanna make one video with it all completed. Stand bye brutha Redzone is lurking..........
wifey went nuts the fancy door sill light saying "CAMARO" and door/dash color-changing led (is that what thy are?) lights on the 2ss. so i think they're kind of a must if you're married. also, she's bummed we didn't get the red leather inserts in the black leather seats, front and rear. that's $500 over and above the cost of the base 2ss. i also think the 2ss cross traffic alert and lane change warning indicators on the side mirrors are kind of A MUST in this viewing challenged camaro.
You also have an extra tweeter on the doors with the 2SS. i honestly never noticed it till this weekend. It's right by your shoulder when sitting in the seat. At least that's what I think it is (I have a 17). This video will be amazingly informative for new buyers.
You know what I think your right ;) It's weird that they would be on both sides. Most cars usually have it on the drivers side but 2 mics would only make the mic quality better.
The first thing I do to a new vehicle I buy is put a drivers side seat cover over whatever is there. It's the only way to keep the seats nice and greatly reduce wear and tear .
The 1ss is missing alot of features that are in your everyday car? Kinda odd if you ask me. Why would they not put safety features in the 1ss regardless
I think if I’d have bought a 1SS might have thought the added features are over rated, but since I bought a 2SS I couldn’t imagine being happy with the car without them,if for nothing more than saying “hey,my car has this “ one of my favorites is the lighted door sill
That was darn cool man. At first when Mohave came on I was asking myself if I clicked on his channel by mistake. I like the tag team. I did actually learn something. As you know I have the 2SS and I didn't know everything that didn't come in the 1SS. 2 thumbs and 5 cool points totaling 8 cool points.
Thanks! Great comparison for a future buyer! I was not aware you could get mag ride on the 1SS. My only question is how would one know if you’re buying a used 1SS and mag ride is not specified?
Oh snap. Now that you're showing off your quad exhaust. That's the one thing I wish my 2SS had...I wish I had the quad exhaust. That'll probably be one of the last mods because it'll be the most expensive including the rear diffuser
You just said the 1SS had 2 door speakers and 2 dash speakers. You forgot to mention the 2 rear speakers, and if you add a $200 Pioneer TS-WX1210A powered sub with 350w rms and a under dash bass boost knob you can mount anywhere nobody can tell the difference between the Bose and the stock system. Its true there is a dual zone climate system on the 2SS...but it's just me now. But I updated to OEM leather with red accents and Factory GM SS on the seat ($999). Then OEM red leather knee and door bolsters $289, and installation of the leather seats $400. So $200 $999 $400 $289 So $1900 and ny 2018 1SS already has a sunroof and NPP. Other than the HUD, MRC, & heated seats in VA There really isnt much left to be desired. Since I am a car guy and LOVE to have a box of cool stuff arrive I think the lighted door sills are an excrllent add. But one thing I have on my list to add is the B-14 Bilstein Nordschliffe PSS sport adjustable suspension $1099. $2999 plus $350 to install plus $200 for the lighted door sills (used). I already found a pair of Bose door speakers and the amp is the same 20 watt rms x 4. So I got the aluminum "Bose" pins with the speakers will be adding those on soon Great comparison. You get a lot with a 2SS. Finding g one that is affordable? That ship has sailed!!
Alex M. - well, the 16/17/18 SS are pretty much the same animal. The main differences come from different trims like the RS, 1LE, ZL1. The SS really didn’t change. Now 2019 will be a little different. 🙂
Great video... you should tag team someone with an 1SS1LE and see if they can piggy back. I know the 1SS1LE comes with a few other perks from the 2SS, but not all of them... would love some more detail.
Good job guys, though alpha, you volume could be better. I don't get the peanut butter leather on a red car. I have Mojave's interior color & love it with Hyper Blue.
Nice idea I'm subscribed to both of you. I know this will be very helpful for people in the market to buy these cars and when I pay off the 5th gen I will be getting mine 👍👍
i went to dealership intend on buying a 1SS but i was worried about the stereo in the 1SS vs 2SS.....i am very picky about my stereo's, be it in my cars/home theater (Bowers and Wilkins forever !)or by my pc it has to sound true to the recording. I thought the stereo on the 1SS sounded more true to the recording than the 2SS, i spent a good 60-90 minutes in each car at the dealership much to the grief of the salesman, i brought my own music. i listen to everything from dubstep to classical, so my usb pen was loaded up with just that....the Bose to me sounded boomy and bassy to me...if you like that then get the 2ss ...its good for dubstep and rap...anything else kinda hit or miss due to too much bass when it hits certain frequencies....and i love bass but it has to be tight and true. why did i get a 2ss then...the safety features + magride thats it....to everyone saying the cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring is awesome....im sorry to say but compared to my toyota sienna family hauler it SUCKS ! a little rain and the blindspot alart throw's off tons false alerts ...in the dry its better but sometimes fails to see a hidden car...cross-traffic alerts is over sensitive, i often park in a parking lot thats separated from the main road by a wide sidewalk plus grass....and it still throws alerts that someone is on the main road in a galaxy far far way...knowing the tech its hard thing to get right though. my sienna on the other hand gets blind spot right, and the rear cross traffic works really well, maybe because the sensors are able to sit higher on it. i wish it had front parking sensors to avoid scraping curbs and concrete parking blocks....if it did i would lower the car in a heartbeat...but stock 2SS sits high enough that front fascia should be high enough to avoid scratches....also the different magride's was much more evident on the 1LE compared to the 2SS but i still like it !...all in all i LOVE my 2SS...adjust the mirrors properly and you dont need the blind spot monitoring.....
CygnusX250 - I agree very bassy... I keep the bass turned pretty low, the mids and highs are nice though. I really have never cared for Bose in a house set up. I'm a Yamaha guy and all my speakers are B&W. Cross traffic on my car works great but it it is very sensitive. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Alpha Camaro that's awesome is it much less comfortable? Bc I know it's like the zl1 suspension but I've never driven a 1le they're hard to find for sale
Really liked the video guys. It was very informative for those people that don't know the differences between the two packages. Alpha, is there anyway to crank up your volume a little bit? It wasn't just on this video but your others as well where I really have to crank it up to hear you. Other than that it was good to see both of you and I hope you guys do some more like this.
Oh why is that? 1LE has the bigger front calipers and the electronically controlled IRS. I think in this case it’s more about purpose/fitness to what you intend to do with the car. I would have loved to have had a 2SS 1LE but they didn’t exist when I bought my car.
Andres - well a bit annoying but necessary. You can’t see anything behind the car left or right. You need the sensors to help you for utmost safety. The 2SS also has the auto angling side mirrors which will automatically point down /back to help widen rear view. Being 6’3” does help the view in all other angles though. 🙂
beachchuck - no, it doesn't. Prolly same as 1SS. Even if you move the seat all the forward. Oh well, to tell you the truth I've not yet had the desire to lay down in the car.
Personally, I’ve owned both. You don’t need all that 2SS stuff adding extra weight to your Camaro. My 2019 SS is a 1SS. I don’t miss the extra options. As far as the stereo goes, the Bose system is awesome, but I bought my 2019 for performance reasons. I traded my fully loaded 2013 2SS for a 2019 1SS. It has zero options. I love the new Camaro. Great video comparison.
If I lived in Texas like alpha I would get the 2SS, but since I live on the California coast side like mojaveky I couldn't even afford a new 1SS!! Had to get a used '13 2SS
I totally see and understand mojaveky point and situation. At least from a consumer stand point you didn't have to sacrifice any mechanical differences between the 1SS and 2SS. Same performance between the two models.
SS GAINZ - absolutely! Heck, I bought mine with 5k miles just so I could afford a 2SS. You know it's often about justifying the expense as well. I probably could've gone and bought a brand new car but I've bought several brand new cars and I always end up feeling like I got swindled.
hey alpha i got a question im thinking of putting on some corsa extreme exhaust on my 2018 ss 1LE do you know if it will throw a check engine light if the npp harness is not plugged in.
wahiawabound808 - I haven’t seen or heard of anyone having a check engine due to unplugged NPP. In fact for about 6 months I pulled the fuse for my NPP so that the valves would stay open all the time. I never got any warnings or dash lights from that.
Alpha Camaro thanks very much for the info i want to make my camaro scream america when i jump on it ha ha ha and can be heard from here in hawaii to the asian northpole.
I ended up getting a 2018 SS 1LE and now Im way more aware of how much better it looks with the 1LE package prior to having it. Its on my channel to prove. Im so happy with what I bought how ever will up grade parts in the near futer
Cool video guys. Thanks for the work and time it took. With that said, you can not go wrong with either. It's a Camaro! LOL.......When I buy new cars I do not get the chance to order. So I pretty much have to shop what is in my area. But if I did, I think it would be great to be able to go in and just pick and choose everything. As long as "everything" is on the table. By the way. Subed. Always looking for new angles on the Camaro
Backup camera for backing up-cars I can see, but does it detect people walking back there all up in the blind spots? Hitting a car=bad. Hitting a person=bad. Very bad!
Alpha Camaro i see. Thxs. My previous car, a 2016 acura ilx, had a backup camera and beeped to warn of vehicles behind you but did not detect ppl at all. Anyway picking up our 2ss ltr today! Hubby & i are excited :-)
TUNGTABLE338. You do know that the 1SS and the 2SS have the same power plant. Which as you know is the same as the Corvette. So why say "with the 2SS there's not much that can pass you"? It's the same for all three. Actually the 1SS should be minutely faster as there is less equipment on board, and thus it’s lighter.
I have a 1lt and want to change to an SS. Should I go 1SS? Or wait another year and get the 2SS? I mean unless I wait for the 2019 and go bone stock 1ss?
William - pends on what you want long term. I knew I ultimately I wouldn’t be happy unless I got leather. I knew I’d always be wishing I had the lighting package. I didn’t want to buy a “new car” cause you always pay way too much. So bought this one slightly used /pre-owned after extensive searching, so it was new (few months old 5k miles) and I saved @$9k off the original sticker price. I don’t care for the front fascia of the 2019 refresh. I do like that it’s basically a 1LE with all the goodies. I’d prolly have to get the American Authority front end for it.
Alpha Camaro Yeah I’m thinking spend a little money on the 1SS and mod it with the rest. I mean the 2SS would be nice but it’s about a 5-6k difference in price. It’s just hard to justify. The 1SS still seems to be an upgrade over my 1LT so I don’t see why not? I just need the sunroof and I’ll be happy. My neighbors will hate me but even if it’s a dual exhaust a Borla S-Type or Atak would be a great mod since I doubt it would have NPP.
William - well you can get the 1SS with NPP if you look around. I can’t lie I love the NPP. If you are gonna go slightly used I think 1SS vs 2SS won’t a huge diff in price tho. Remember just like in this video - there’s a lot of stuff “comfort” related stuff that you get for a little more. The nicer stereo the heated /auto dimming side mirrors/larger Nav screen/ backup alarm/ lane change warning... all kinds of stuff that I’m so glad that I have. Either way though you’ll love the power.
No offense to you guys, but after doing so much research, forget the 1SS or 2SS. Get a 1LE (I'm aware the 1LE is a 1SS with upgrades...relax)! I mean after the recaros and all the other sruff, the interior of the 1LE comes out looking beautiful, outclassing the 1SS interior by a lot. Its incredible for the money both in appearance and most definitely in performance. Hell, if you really care about interior like that get the newly acclaimed 2SS 1LE. I heard about there being a 1LE package available for the 2SS in 2018 but idk how true that is, would somebody care to educate me?
1LE Azul - lol! This video was strictly for 1/SS and 2/SS. When we got our cars in 2016 the 1LE wasn’t available to purchase yet! The 2/SS 1LE I’m sure is great inside and out. The new SS 2019 will basically be what you are talking about. I’m just not big on the new look.
Alpha Camaro yeah I heard they reintroduced the 1LE package on 6th gens starting in 2017. I didn't know you guys had 2016s O.o. At first I thought the 19' was ok but after careful consideration I chsnged my mind, maybe it will grow on me when I see one in person.
If you went to CSUN instead of USC, you wouldn't of had to pay back all those student loans and you could have afforded a ZL1. . . . Just having some fun with you. Great video.
You know how you act when you first get a new cell phone, or any type of gadget with all the apps and goodies on it? but after you have the phone for a month you only use maybe two features?...........Thats why I got the 1ss.............
disagree. i'm glad i got the 2ss for everything, but particularly the lane change assist and the rear cross traffic alert. 5k is a lot though, i'll give you that.
Alpha Camaro okay thanks, i got scared lol. im really researching before making my purchase. im an audiophile too. i have some $400 westone earbuds just for the listening experience so im going to go more aftermarket for my clarity purposes
Dorian Terry - the Bose system is definitely better than the one in the 1SS. I do find that I must turn the bass down on some songs. Other than that the system is very nice
Scott! Hey! Do you have 1/SS or 2/SS? The 2SS lighting allows you to toggle to 24 different colors. If you have 1SS then you will only have that one color. There may be a way to disassemble the radio face and do some sort custom modification to change color.
I didn't know the 1SS didn't change colors until after buying it =( I went from a Challenger R/T to the 1SS, had to go back to Chevy since my first car was a 67 Camaro.
Im sure there are added features but at an additional cost. The 1LE will handle better. Im not sure if the trans gearing and rear end gears were different like the 5th gen.
ViiV Creations -cloth also can be wet and dirty and it falls apart. Remember the leather seats are also ventilated so sir circulating blows out on your backside.
JustdoingmeTJ - very nice! You will love the power and options over the v6 and the gas mileage will still be great on Highway with cylinder deactivation. You can cruise around 80 mph @17-1800rpm you’ll get 23-26mpg
Md Seelbach - I recently took a nearly 2000 mile round trip drive from Dallas TX to up state SC. I got about 26 mpg! That's a great number from a 460hp v8. Two things- 8spd automatic @80mph =@1800 rpm as well as cylinder deactivation.
awesome, test drove Colorado with 8 speed love it, waiting for silverados 1500 to come out standard with 8 speed next summer to buy one, saving to walk out with no payments
this is the best comparison in my opinion. it explains so much and the idea to show both trims by changing back and forth, one feature at a time helps alot.
ShadowMagiic - glad you like it!
"Objects in mirror are losing" lmao
One feature difference that wasn't mentioned between the two... Heated Steering Wheel on the 2SS.
cevin11 - yes indeed, there were a few features that could not be demo'd and that was one that I chose to leave off. You are right though. 😉
Does the 1SS have the dual mode exhaust where you can open or close the valves right from the Infotainment system?
@@jose09841 No

Alpha Camaro yea I love that feature. You suddenly get the tone n see that triangle flashing...it's a great heads up!
Did you ever get it?
Hey I’m planning on getting the same car /model and year as yours but any issues with it? Came from getting a bmw so it must me obviously more reliable but any issues?
I got the 1ss because my money was funny. Wish I would have just waited a few months longer and gotten the 2ss.
Jeremy Esters they keep marking up the 2SS here in Indiana
I am waiting for the 3ss to be released. Booyah!
That would be the ZL1
Lmao
@@Mrpossy1 actually the 1le
@@Mrpossy1 I never heard of no 3 SS
Scar 1le is a downgrade from the 2ss feature wise but performance wise it’s better
You two did it right ....WOW....nice job......men with brains............thank you....
Thanks for the overview, just picked up 2018 2SS
I got the 50th Edition RS and it has everything the 2SS THANKFULLY cuz it’s actually pretty useful

Like this new Tag Team thing going on here fellas
I wish we were closer to make them easier but I think we will be able to do more videos this way ! at least I hope so

Genuinely get excited for your videos now, like them before lol, keep up the good work hope to see your channel grow more!

Well done gentlemen! Very helpful. I’m trying to decide between a SS 1LE or the 2SS 1LE (when it comes out in a few weeks).
Got a 2014 2SS. Mine is all Tricked out now. No dual mode exhaust-just open exhaust. LOL
Glad I watched this video the 2SS is what I’m going for just needed more clarity 💵👀

I have never purchased a brand new car, how can I get an SS built to my own specifications, not whatever options the dealer decides to put in
Bubba Junior - you can build your own on the Chevrolet website. Or go to your local dealership.
Great video. Thanks for this.
Love the comparison video. I've been thinking about getting the 1SS but after watching this video I would go with the 2SS instead.
I LOVE this video! Thanks for making it! It was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Guys!!!

Thanks! Great comparison for a future buyer! I was not aware you could get mag ride on the 1SS. My only question is how would one know if you’re buying a used 1SS and mag ride is not specified?

Alex M. - well, the 16/17/18 SS are pretty much the same animal. The main differences come from different trims like the RS, 1LE, ZL1. The SS really didn’t change. Now 2019 will be a little different. 🙂
Alpha Camaro Thank you so much! Keep doing what you’re doing, channel is heading in the right direction. 👍
Thank you. This helped me a lot regarding which I will buy 😊 #2SS
Great video. Please do some more.
David- Glad you like! Hit the like button 👊🏻😁
My biggest regret ordering my Camaro SS is not getting the 2SS! But not enough to want to upgrade.
Eric Chang - I know what you mean. It was the interior that made me do it.
Could you mod up your 1ss to be almost like a 2ss when it comes to interior lighting and navigation??
Hell yea, way cheaper too
Nice idea I'm subscribed to both of you. I know this will be very helpful for people in the market to buy these cars and when I pay off the 5th gen I will be getting mine 👍👍
Bobby B - right on! The question is which one will you buy? 🤔😜
i went to dealership intend on buying a 1SS but i was worried about the stereo in the 1SS vs 2SS.....i am very picky about my stereo's, be it in my cars/home theater (Bowers and Wilkins forever !)or by my pc it has to sound true to the recording.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
another B&W lover...awesome...i run Denon ....
how was the 2ss suspension compared to the 1le?
+Alexd3498 - the 1LE has its own track related suspension. Including an electronically controlled limited slip rear differential.
Alpha Camaro that's awesome is it much less comfortable? Bc I know it's like the zl1 suspension but I've never driven a 1le they're hard to find for sale
I’m trying to get a 2018 1SS in 3 months and this video really helped thx
Really liked the video guys. It was very informative for those people that don't know the differences between the two packages. Alpha, is there anyway to crank up your volume a little bit? It wasn't just on this video but your others as well where I really have to crank it up to hear you. Other than that it was good to see both of you and I hope you guys do some more like this.
1camaroland - interesting on audio comment! Was it just on some parts or all the time? I'm glad you liked it!
Alpha Camaro on this video your volume when you spoke was lower than mojaveky. Maybe I'm just being knit picky. Still enjoyed it though.
How can you order a 2018 2ss with custom leather? On the Chevy website you cant order older than 2019 models..
What is that tan interior?!? I didnt know that was a thing on these, i love it
Robert Goff - "Kalahari" yes I didn't know at first either...love at first sight! Haha
A 1SS 1LE is how you buy a Camaro, if you have enough money then a 2SS 1LE is even better. But a 1SS 1LE is much better value than a standard 2SS.
Oh why is that? 1LE has the bigger front calipers and the electronically controlled IRS. I think in this case it’s more about purpose/fitness to what you intend to do with the car. I would have loved to have had a 2SS 1LE but they didn’t exist when I bought my car.
Great idea to compare the 2 cars, great video! Does the sunroof option come with a built in air deflector?
Jay- thank you! No there's no air deflector the sunroof glass goes up and tilts out so that the glass panel is completely outside the car.
need a sunglass holder by the map lights
If you are 6'2 and obove visibility is not an issue at all, plus the beeping and flashing lights are distracting and hella fkin annoying.
I was gonna get the 1ss but decided to wait and get the 2ss. And I'm so glad I did. I got the 50th Anniversary. Trust me the 1ss just feels cheap.
Very elaborate video. This made me love my 2ss even more😊 thanks🙏🏾
The driver's s seat does not recline on the 1SS. Does it recline on the 8 way power seats on the 2SS?
beachchuck - no, it doesn't. Prolly same as 1SS. Even if you move the seat all the forward. Oh well, to tell you the truth I've not yet had the desire to lay down in the car.
I have a C4. I tilt the seat to fit. I can not get in the 1SS. My legs are too long for the C6.
beachchuck - oh I see. I'm 6'3 so I'm guessing you are taller than me.
my 2010 reclines back, good times with the wife!
Awesome video brotha!!
Nice seats in both cars
As soon as I sat in the 2SS I knew I had to have it 😅
Haha me too!
Why do the seats not recline ?!
Alpha Camaro if it just the seat that's stopping it then I'm good cuz I'm short lol
100 % useful video, thank you both, And good luck.
I am getting ready to buy one and this was fantastic.
I know this comment is YEARS late but it’s worth a shot. Does the 1ss have the remote start? Thanks!
@@Eddiees14 yes, I think so.
Alpha Camaro
thanks very much for the info i want to make my camaro scream america when i jump on it ha ha ha and can be heard from here in hawaii to the asian northpole.
wahiawabound808 wow! LMAO! 😜
I ended up getting a 2018 SS 1LE and now Im way more aware of how much better it looks with the 1LE package prior to having it. Its on my channel to prove. Im so happy with what I bought how ever will up grade parts in the near futer
Jenner Barrera - congratulations! Enjoy!
Very bad!
bigtimetorifan - yes it detects everything people, Cars etc... works very well but... as always be careful to turn your head and check mirrors.
Alpha Camaro i see. Thxs. My previous car, a 2016 acura ilx, had a backup camera and beeped to warn of vehicles behind you but did not detect ppl at all. Anyway picking up our 2ss ltr today! Hubby & i are excited :-)
“When a car is passing you” wtf? Not if your in a 2SS not many things can pass you lol! Jk I have a 2016 blacked out 2SS love that car
So is the 2016 ss2 the same as the 2018 ss2
@@khalifahhorton6986 yes there the same thing so i would go with 2016 since its gonna be cheaper
n!ck so no difference at all for the 2016-2018 2ss?
I really want that 2SS but I gotta wait to see the new 2019 camaro refresh 😏
John B - yeah only heard rumors so far
Alpha Camaro Yeah as of now the cheapest 2ss is 32k while the cheapest 1ss is 27k.
William- I see well I paid about $38k for mine, so 32 doesn’t seem that bad! I’m guessing that’s for a 2017 or 2018? Not bad.
Forgot the 2ss heated Steering wheel
Yeah there were several small things we left out. Thanks for watching.
@@alphacamaro8124 belive it or not ,that and blind side is one of the reasons I chose the ss2
Great video.
true but my Mom did go to CSUN so it is some where in my genes : )
My first semester at CSUN (Fall 83) cost approx. $330/semester. . . The good old days.
totally the good ole days ! my daughter's tuition a quarter at UCR is painful to even think about
2016 2ss vs 2017 2ss, what is the difference?
adrinz - no difference.
1SS you sound so depressed that you got this car,, Im almost sorry for you that you have it,, I really hope one day you can get a 2SS, good luck.
Nice video sir!!!
You know how you act when you first get a new cell phone, or any type of gadget with all the apps and goodies on it? but after you have the phone for a month you only use maybe two features?...........Thats why I got the 1ss.............
REDZONE ! I use all of them all the time except the tilting mirrors. I love my seats! Just sayin 👊🏻😆
Alpha Camaro
REALLY wow thats wassup!
REDZONE yes dude should have gotten 1ss could of out the interior lights and leather for cheap
Francisco Adame - I bought my car with 5k miles I saved 10 grand...
disagree. i'm glad i got the 2ss for everything, but particularly the lane change assist and the rear cross traffic alert. 5k is a lot though, i'll give you that.
Texas only has 5 months? Shit I’m moving ASAP
What’s the difference in weight tho
Bach Frog - I would imagine not much. But I bet you can Google specs on that.
Weird my 1LT has light up door shit.
so the 1ss only has speakers in the door and on the dash and none in the back? thay doesnt sound right
Dorian Terry - of course it has back speakers! Lol
Other than that the system is very nice
did u test drive the MRC prior to ordering?
no, I just decided to get it. once the Gen 5 ZL1 had it I kinda always wished the SS would get it. So when it was announced I knew I was getting it.
This is like asking,do u prefer steak or top ramen
GREAT VIDEO
where did u get after maret thing that do as the ss2 does
Gary Ashley eBay. There’s a video I did on it
Is that light going around the stereo removable? I'd like to make mine red.
Scott! Hey! Do you have 1/SS or 2/SS? The 2SS lighting allows you to toggle to 24 different colors. If you have 1SS then you will only have that one color. There may be a way to disassemble the radio face and do some sort custom modification to change color.
I have a 1SS & I'm looking to change the white to red. If I could take that strip out and have it wrapped or something I'd like to do that.
I didn't know the 1SS didn't change colors until after buying it =( I went from a Challenger R/T to the 1SS, had to go back to Chevy since my first car was a 67 Camaro.
Scott Kinderdine - ah ya lucky dog! 67 Maro first car WoW! I've read that the lighting can be added on after the fact.
Does anyone know if the 1ss 1LE package offers anything from the 2ss
Edgar ortiz 1SS/1LE only for 2016/2017. This may change in the future.
Im sure there are added features but at an additional cost. The 1LE will handle better. Im not sure if the trans gearing and rear end gears were different like the 5th gen.
cloth seems more comfy and warm, leather can be too cold/hot and wet :/
ViiV Creations -cloth also can be wet and dirty and it falls apart. Remember the leather seats are also ventilated so sir circulating blows out on your backside.
I didn't know they offer the white seat , i wouldve gotten them :'(
Mo Lo - you mean the light grey cloth?
Thanks a lot
So both have apple car play and android auto right
Is tire's upgrade an option with the 2SS?
Soo helpful. Thank you. Both of you!!
Would you buy. 2016 2ss 14k miles or a brand new v6 camaro
JustdoingmeTJ - with out a doubt the 2SS is by far my choice over a new RS/v6. In the looks department alone.
@@alphacamaro8124 www.bobstall.com/VehicleDetails/certified-2016-Chevrolet-Camaro-2SS-La_Mesa-CA/3500461253
JustdoingmeTJ - very nice! You will love the power and options over the v6 and the gas mileage will still be great on Highway with cylinder deactivation. You can cruise around 80 mph @17-1800rpm you’ll get 23-26mpg
Alpha Camaro Any differences between the 2016,2017 and 2018 2ss models?
I went with a new lt1 got it for 30k #savethemanuals
whats real world mpg you guys getting?
Md Seelbach - I recently took a nearly 2000 mile round trip drive from Dallas TX to up state SC. I got about 26 mpg! That's a great number from a 460hp v8. Two things- 8spd automatic @80mph =@1800 rpm as well as cylinder deactivation.
awesome, test drove Colorado with 8 speed love it, waiting for silverados 1500 to come out standard with 8 speed next summer to buy one, saving to walk out with no payments
1800 rpm nice!!!
What about the 1ls
