MORE commentary driving videos please. Honestly if your channel was nothing but videos of you driving around unedited for 30 minutes narrating your thought process that would be fire, I would love that
Yes, PLEASE! I don’t miss a single video, I love them all! But these are my absolute favorites. I would love to AT LEAST have one of these a month, they are so educational and relaxing.
I live in Cambridge and passed a few months ago here, I watched so many of your videos whilst I was learning - it's so surreal to see you driving on the roads I do everyday! (The cyclists are a nightmare)
I'm in south africa got my drivers license in December 2022 but I had many lessons the driving schools here just want to do shortcuts once they notice that one can drive they just book a drivers test... I just wish we more patient passionate people like you who actually love their job love your channel
I've been watching you since before I passed my test and still do. Please do more videos like these, they're educational even as someone who's passed their test!
Love it Aman! I'm from Cambridge, so the roads you've driven are where I'm actually learning. Learning to drive around here definitely prepares you to be naturally very alert because of all the cyclists (and mopeds!), and in turn, I've become a better cyclist as I have a better grasp of what drivers are thinking themselves.
05:50 very nice breaking Aman, that’s what I do just before I come to a full stop so I get a nice smooth brake with no jerk, I think they call it the chauffeur brake, that’s how limousine drivers brake smoothly with no jerk. 🙃
I love these types of videos! I think something that might be helpful would be a camera on your speedometer. I’ve actually passed my test now but sometimes I feel I’m slightly too fast or too slow on my turns so I find videos where I can view the drivers speed in certain situations very helpful x
You have taught me so much about driving. My instructor didn't even teach me to check my blind-spots. We didn't even do the emergency stop. My test was only a 10min drive, maybe less, and i passed the second time. Thank you for doing this it has helped so many people to be safer on the road.
Reversed, 2 car length, good observation, mirrors checked, all cleared moved off. Be proactive looking for potential hazards. Good observation at junction, all cleared and exit to new road. In the car park bay parking. Well done🧦
Aman you are amazing driving instructor your videos inspire me I've booked my driving test this my 2nd test failed the first test through nerves and anxiety it was terrible I've Dyslexic thank you for your videos it so encouraging I am confident I will pass 2nd time once again thank you 😊🙏🏽👍🏾
I've been studying in Cambridge for a year now and i have to say that cyclists there are crazy. They sometimes run red lights without even looking. Pedestrians aren't more careful either, especially when crossing the road. I already had 2 close calls of pedestrians stepping in front of me while i was cycling because they couldn't be bothered to look left and right before stepping into the road. Drivers however are really careful, always stopping for zebra crossings and signalling to turn.
Great commentary. I learnt to do this as part of some RoSPA driver training many years ago. When my instructor first demonstrated a commentary to me, I was amazed at the amount of information he was taking in. That's stuck with me for the 20+ years since and I'm sure made me a better driver. I'm sure others will learn a lot from these. (BTW, add commentary on road surface changes too)
Would definitely love to see more commentary driving videos! As someone who doesn't have many opportunities to be in a car outside of my weekly driving lessons, they're really helpful for me to get a better idea of how every routine, technique etc. comes together as a whole.
Aman, good driving all round awareness and observation. Good approached to roundabout, observation, mirrors checked, exit to new road. Exit right to car park. Well done.💜
Good parallel parking, mirrors checked before moving off. Be proactive, looking for potential hazards. watching and learning form a good instructor. Well done💜
Good parallel parking, reverse 2 car length. Good approached to #roundabouts, right turn to new roads, mirrors checked, right turn, to new road and watch out for pedestrians crossing. approached to big #roundabout, get into lane and exit to new road. Be proactive, looking for potential hazard. Into car park secure the car. Well done. 😉
It's been a while, when I was in the UK, like a profi driver (HGV). I visit full England and Scotland, and It was the most brilliant country (Scotland on the 1st place). Where I was. I love your videos.
Good, approached to junctions, be proactive, awareness and observations. Cautious, towards, pedestrians crossing the road, ahead of you, and cyclist. Well done💜
Awesome video. Im always fascinated by U.K roads, they're a bit different to what im used to here in New Zealand. Our roads are more spacious and there are nowhere near as many pedestrians or cyclists to worry about. Most of us rely on vehicles to get around, we're similar to the U.S in some ways.
Good parallel parked and mirrors checked, before moving off. It's a busy high Street, with lots of cyclist are about Good awareness and observation Be proactive, looking for potential Hazard scanning the horizon. turn, right into the car park Good bay parking. Well done.💋
I love watching your videos. it's just so understandable, like some other driver instructors. I hope you are still doing your job in 3/4Yrs time. So you can hopefully be my driver instructor. ❤
My first time of driving in Cambridge was when I went for an assessment to be a driver a bus. To my shock I was put in an old crash gearbox halfcab bus and told to drive through the centre of the city with the narrow roads and bikes everywhere. I must have done ok as I passed the accessment and 2 weeks later I passed my PSV test 1st.time.
It's been a few years since I've been up to Cambridge. Walked the Fen Rivers Way up to King's Lynn. The one thing that struck me about the city then, which I didn't see on your video, was the number of cows that just were just milling about. As for the drive, that end bit is the one that scares me. I really don't fancy the tight squeezes and steep uphills of multi storey car parks.
Good too seee you are here.... Am from Cambridge thank you so much for making video about this city am a lerner too hope withing 2 months am gonna do my test as well this video will help me a lot.. ❤❤
A nice drive. Whilst you were courteous in providing space for pedestrians to cross the road, you might want to make the point to your viewers that you had ensured there were no 2 wheeled road users approaching from behind. The British pedestrian psyche is to feel obliged and not hold others up, even if it means stepping into a road without looking for themselves (seen this happen in Cambridge before and it can be messy). Sometimes less courtesy is actually kinder.
A nice drive Aman,Thanks for the ride around Cambridge. them bloody potholes! I've got to pay £300 on Thursday, I managed to hit a big one. It's relaxing, I enjoy watching your Students learning but end feeling stressed for them because I can see what's going to go wrong.
Aman, what is going on, my friend. Good to hear from you again. This video will really help other learners to pass their driving tests in the near future. You can only hope that an instructor such as yourself can really strive to educate the importance of safety whilst driving on the road and the dual controls being the most useful thing today. See you in the next video
im doing my test in less than a week and still have a year of sixth form left but im hoping to go to cambridge for uni so its still nice to see what its like to drive around the area
Simple but educational and entertaining video, great as always 😊❤ Btw you seems to do a full leg stretch when you press the clutch, guess every car is different but it just looks interesting 🤔
Cool video😂 as I was waiting until you going to the Cambridge centre, but you just go around. Two weeks ago I was delivering parcels inside the Cambridge centre - was good refresh of my driving skills plus area😊
8:02 - I never would've seen that! That's a "Buses and Taxis only, no Entry to cars" sign? It looks just like a place anyone can drive! They should change the sign design completely into a big red circle with a line cutting through a car!
Very nice driving Aman, 05:10 you didn’t cross the solid white line to enter the hatched markings, you waited until the hatched markings finished before overtaking the cyclist, very nice. 🙃
Nice drive. Thank you for the video. Can't wait for more. Thank you for the tour of Cambridge. Lovely scenery. Only fault that I saw was minor one at the beginning with reverse parallel parking. There was an incoming cyclist and you should have waited. You reversed on their side of the road. As an American I don't really understand what classifies as a driving fault. Other then that cant really say. Thanks again and have a good night.
yeah after watching these vids i see how bad my instructor is, he constantly touches the wheel even tho im on a straight and i feel like i know the size of his car more than he does😅 I do all these manoeuvres the same and he basically panics and takes over as if i haven't done 23 hours of driving already. Shame I can't switch because of how hard it is to get instructors near me
Aman, A Driving Talk through With Aman in Cambridge. It's an opportunity to learn from the professional! Help me to improve my driving skills. turn right and exit to the car park. well done🔭
At 12:34, it was an uphill stop, would holding the footbrake with the clutch fully down better or rocking/holding the clutch to it's biting point to prevent it from rolling back?
Thanks for this video, I just had a question about checking your right mirror to see the back wheel while driving up to the car park at 16:16, is this always visible or because you were leaning forwards?
When i watch the way you guys drive everyone is patient and its great but here In Africa the way people aren't patient to each other hurts me a lot and a lot Motocyclists are always in a rush one mistake you can run over someone
i can't believe how entertaining it is to just watch someone drive around while also being super educational at the same time
Boring
And being rather sexy,no?Men ey!

IKR So relaxing❤
As an American, school bus driver, these videos still help Me!
aww brilliant! Thank to so much for watching
I'm also American in California, and absolutely love these videos for how fun they are and educational they are! Even an ocean away ❤

The way you explain while you driving car alone, it’s marvellous and it’s showing how much you love your job. Keep it up
I cycled for ten years in Cambridge, and now I need a car. My test is at the end of this month. Thanks for the videos.
I live in Cambridge and passed a few months ago here, I watched so many of your videos whilst I was learning - it's so surreal to see you driving on the roads I do everyday! (The cyclists are a nightmare)

as a learner, these are super helpful.
just driving and commentating, is perfect.
