Awww, thank you my sweet friend. You are a treasure! I would love to hold on to it but the income is very needed. If I truly loved it beyond love, I'd keep it. I do have a lovely white gold and diamond little purse necklace that I'd love to wear again, but I'm waiting until I can get a chain for it. I'd be happy wearing that one again. I remember in the mid 80’s gold was $700, a gram (or maybe an oz.)I remember that because people were selling their jewelry to pawn shops like crazy!!!!😮🎉❤
Probably $700 oz it's around $1900oz. now, 14k $33 gram today it's low right now.

Wow! They must be gorgeous!! Sadly, I am thinking these may not be solid gold. But I'll take them to a jeweler to find out for sure. But I still have the 18k pendant and the 14 k bracelet and a whole host of awesome vintage pieces.

You have some nice pieces. You have improved with your knowledge of jewelry. It's amazing how much there is to learn about jewelry. Do you have to clean the jewelry before your videos. It seems a lot of work getting into jewelry resale. The stretchy silver wire bobble with a bead may be a choker necklace.
Hello Sherry. I open the box and share what I find with all of you just as I am seeing it, so that doesn't give me time to clean the piece before I show them to everyone. I think that is more fun record what's happening as if you are right there with me. If something needs cleaned, I put it aside and clean it up, then try to show it on the next video. The same with the pieces that need more research.

Stuff Toilet paper into holder leave in place for shape or Stuff wash clothes up into bracelet measurer leave them in place until fold softens. Also place tape inside for further support.. lay it on side shape it then apply tape to inside cut small pieces of duct tape easier to hold and apply. lay in circle formation it will take wrinkle out, tape once applied does not come off so be careful. Make sure it is shaped like you want it to look like before putting on tape.

Hey Cheri! 6:38 looks like one of those “tattoo” chokers, normally they are plastic. They were popular in the 00s with teens. I wore some of them lol. 18:43 is an old Czech glass beaded brooch, so pretty! Normally you see those with wood beads. Use a UV light to see if any of the beads glow. Wow wow at the gold! Congrats!!

14k P means 14K plum, which means it's minimum 14.0 or a little above. A lot of 14k is actually slight under 14 parts per 24 parts, like 13.85, etc.

The dove is likely Catholic pin, I have seen a few pins you have questioned; maybe given out by church itself for First Communion, Confirmation, etc…significant milestone type things.
or the dove can signify the Holy Spirit. Pretty, isn't it?

Reread what it looks like with gold acid test. They should have csme with kit. When it is gold it will break the lines apart but not dissolve totally

I found this Online regarding the earrings."When it comes to jewelry, the term “gc” is often seen as an indicator of quality. But what does gc on 14k gold earrings mean, exactly? In short, gc stands for “gold-filled”.

Hi Peachy, I did more research and apparently the site that I looked up was speaking about the C on a ring referring to gold color, and on the ring it was solid gold. But since doing more research I have found some posts referring to them as clad too. I'll take them to the jeweler because they tested very well and did not appear to have an under metal. But the marks can't be ignored.
I'm glad I still have the 18K pendant and another piece of gold in my next episode. I won't spoil it here.

Gold plate would be marked 14kt GP. In the past they did mark items 14k P & it stood for “plum” meaning real 14kt actual measurement.
Well, I'm kind of wondering now. One website said it means Gold Color, which also meant solid gold. Another website said that the letter C after the 14KGC means Clad. If so, clad means plated.
@@BlessedBaubles I was actually referring to the mother & child brooch. I think it said 14kt P. But maybe I misunderstood. I don’t know anything about “c” marking.

Sep 27, 2023 - 14Kgc means that the item is gold clad; e.g., gold plated. It is not solid gold, rather it has a layer of gold over another metal, ...
I have since found the posts that say that too. If so, I'm disappointed but it's ok.
I think I looked at another post that spoke of a ring that has 14KGC and on that post it said the C refers to gold color, and was solid gold.
Oh well. At least I still have the 18K pendant and the 14K bangle. And all the other very nice pieces.

That hair line crack shouldn't matter.
I would wear them. Its barely noticeable. But I bet, if I didn't sell them like I did on my channel and had to list them on eBay that the crack would have hurt the sale. That's why I priced them so cheaply. Thanks though. I appreciate you input so much.
