I did a patch a way with the water soluble topper. folded so was thick, hooped did a patch as normal and peeled away. Came out really good and as the toper is clear, you cant see the edges
Wow! Very nice work bro!! Interesting how you create your embroidery. I can learn a lot from your videos :) Thank you. And by the way: great editing, too.
Hey! Thanks for the great video. I new to the embroidery scene but am looking for a machine to do some embroidery on shirts/hats and making patches. I want to see my designs come to life. Is there a machine you'd recommend?

Yes, absolutely. I make used to make patches on my SE400 all the time. I actually watched this video as a reminder since it's been a few years since I've made one.
@@KeeponCreatingTV You've said it's tearaway here though and I would agree with that as I've never used a cutaway I could tear like that 😬 I'm just confused, is it cutaway, tearaway or iron on you've used on the initial design as you've now said it's all three?!
@@colourfulgenes I use a tear away backing when embroidering the design. After this when you have torn away the tear away backing and you are left with the patch only, you can then go apply the badge backing. I don't use cut away backing.
Felt is more "Fluffy" and tweed will be flat / smooth and thinner. You'll have a more in register embroidery with felt, but it can embroidery exactly the same with tweed. 🙃

Hmmm, I would be looking more at a pr650 but may have to be second hand to bring it under 2k. Something I’ve wanted to research for awhile, but that’s where my heads is. Good colour options, low service fees and easy to adjust settings.

Much easier to embroider straight onto the item, but some people want patches 🙃. Yup Loads of companies use patches to stop the fabric puckering. Thanks for the Comment 🤘

Good morning !I like to start embroidery business and I need your suggestions. what would be the best machine to buy
That final satin stitch border doesn't unravel once you rip away the stabilizer?
Nope, make sure you do a suitable tie off on the inside of the border 👍
what backing do you use? my backing is too thin i think. it will tear, so when i cut away the fabric i have a gaping hole. at the side ...
I am new to these, what machine do you think would be best for making back patches? Like MC style?
So many machines, but Melco's are great!
How durable is the iron on application ? I know it may not last as long as sewing but just to get an idea?
I like This machines . .
They are awesome. Thanks for the comment
Was it 2 layers of tearaway you used with the felt? P.s love the video! Thanks!
Hi Laura, you can you 1 layer, if your design doesn’t hold in registration use 2 layers
@@KeeponCreatingTV Hi Mike, you've recommended Iron on to people in Amazon links but it's clearly tearaway - can you confirm?

Felt plus paper stabilizer? what do you think to embroiderying patch only on nonwoven fabric instead?
How much does your set up cost? Are you able to make patches in a bigger size?
What brand heat press is that?
1 year later and still on lock down - Canada
Very Harsh, I was actually just reading about Canada, are only grocery shops etc open? We have just come out of another lock down.

5 may be a little pricey as it will take on all the setup costs, but send your design over so we can see it. Thanks ;-)
