The 787b has got to be one of the loudest cars ive ever heard in my life, you can feel the roar through the ground and your chest

Brian Callison the FD was actually pretty easy and reliable, other than the burning oil by design. It's when people put insane power into the engines like in this video that the rotary becomes a chore. A fun chore, but still.
This is a problem. Because it burns oil it won't pass new restrictions of co2 emission. It sounds simmilar to 2stroke engines and it has this same problem - co2 emmision - burning oil by its design. 2stroke engines also have their own and unique sound, but You wont find a lot of them today. Most are old designs, because no one makes it anymore. It's sad that wankel is also about to die. :(

I use to not like this sound when I was younger but as I grew up and began to love the differences in cars I began to absolutely love The sound of a rotary engine !

2:20 is my favorite. A clean dark blue RX-7 with around this level in engine mods is my dream car. Everyone wants the Veilside kit from Tokyo Drift but I think that kit is a little too much, too flashy. The RX-7 looks good the way it is. Doesn't need to be disguised as a supercar to be beautiful.
i fucking hate that kit. It completely changes the look of the car, it's just as awful as non pop up headlights.

That was at Le Mans a couple of years back as a demonstration. It was so loud you could hear it thundering down the Hunaudières/ Mulsanne straight from our campsite at Maison Blanche at the other side of the circuit😂. Absolutely brilliant!

Edit: I had a chance to buy a quad rotor recently but it was so trashed and he wanted way too much so I sadly passed on it
likes just cause I love the design of the rx7...that style never gets old to me not big on the sound though.

no, the 13b, is esentially a 4 1.3 4 cylinder. the 20b 3 rotor is a 2.0l 6 cylinder. the 26b quadrotor sounds like a v10.
asha893 that's now how it's classed, since the rotary fires twice as fast as a piston you double the liters, so the 13b is a 2.6

im aware of all the drawbacks of the rotary engine but if anything they make me like them more. To me theyre supposed to be perky responsive and fun and thats what every owner seems to say about theirs. Im sure repairs would be a nightmare though
