How This Iconic Viral Video Was STOLEN: The Heist of HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA:
• How This Iconic Viral ...
In this video, I respond to wavy's video and also share a talk I gave last year at the University of Texas at Arlington to students in the Cinematic Arts and Visual Art departments. I talk about the true origins of SLACKCiRCUS, the birth of the He-Man video and everything that's happened since. I also share some thoughts on creativity, work ethic and making time for personal projects.

The way people react when you revealed you made fabulous secret powers is amazing "THAT WAS YOU?! OH MY GOD!"
"That was you?!!!" '"Yes" "OHMAGAD!!!"
You should be proud of your work despite not having enough credit, it sucks I know, but just take a moment to process the fact that you created a legendary meme and also you'll always be part of the story of the internet
This really made me confident about my Voice Acting Career , i am a beginner and Haven't really started yet or got paid.
But that talk about how you should just do what you love no matter how hard it is and even when no one's appreciating you , made me feel better about myself. For the first time ever i posted the same demo video of my VA on reddit again but in a different sub and the comments were so wholesome , i felt like exactly how you did "These are my people , i love it here"
If i become a voice actor in future , i'll be the happiest i could ever be , its literally everything i wanna do
Ayo good luck
Imagine taking so much time to make something then someone comes and steals it and get more popularity than you
your attitude about this whole situation is inspirational. it'd be so easy to be bitter, but you're not and you never were. you're a genius, and a fucking legend my guy. here from Wavy 💜
my husband and I are meme lovers. And when we were first dating we would "rick roll" each other with Secret Powers. Your video is a part of our love story thanks. Here cause Wavy

@halllucy2215 Bro stfu you probably don't even have anyone to be together with 💀
@@hallucy2215 bro has the smallest dislike on things and calls it cringe.
You have playlists called cringe too 💀💀💀
Even though your version wasn't the one I first seen, I still appreciate your time, efforts and ingenuity that you put into your work. I still quote this video to this day without even realising it.
Thanks again for your dedication and hard work. Keep it up.
dont worry, ill go heist all those views back without them even noticing, i gotchu
WE LOVE AND RESPECT YOU
(Re-posted due to my original comments being fanned into the shadows)
We, the people are with you. Thanks to wavy for dispelling the darkness of deception, and for shining light on the TRUTH.
JUSTICE will always come for those who lie, and who help hide the TRUTH.
Now, let me come work for you as an EDITOR! lol/jk. I enjoy my independent freedom too much to work for someone else.
Congrats on the business, I am happy you're doing well. :D

It's really cool to see all of this unfold in real-time.
I found my way here because of Wavy's video, thanks for your contribution to internet history man. I got some great memories thanks to your video.
Thank you so much for making this video, this is probably one of the first RUclips video i remember watching
Just came from Wavy, this song has given me many smiles, thank you for making it
This was a very insightful talk. I screenshotted that perfectionism quote because that's something I struggle with a lot. There's a project I've been in the "planning" phase of for the past several years, I shouldn't let the shitty first drafts hold me back. Thanks for putting this up!
I really enjoyed listening to that lecture, even though I'm not really a creative I feel like so much of what you went over could be applied to a lot of different things. I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel to be able to see this.

Amazing video! Cool to understand your story and the struggles and how to over come them. Seeing all the commercials, they are stunning! It's pretty late in my place, but enjoyed!
Man, when I come back to Fabulous Secret Power, I always have a big smile on my face!! So much memories you have created, thank you so much!
Idk how many mornings your video got me through like, for real. I live about 40 miles north of Fort Worth, had no idea! Def gonna be sure to share with my buddies because this was really cool.
I didn’t see your video first but ever since I found your version that’s the one I share and rewatched I can also relate to being one of those people that get into computer science but was more interested on using computers for other purposes than coding itself. Ended up working in videogames for 15 years. Now I’m working with some people into creating an animation studio. I’m also ADHD. Very inspiring video.
Just came over from that wavywebsurf vid. Instant sub. Sry I am late to the party.
Dude your videos has brought me so much joy thank you
WAVY Les go!!! The man who brought light to the actual video!!!
It's you, the one who stole that Fabulous-Secret-Powers shaped portion of my heart. Thank you! Cheers
Jay Allen, you are an exceptional human being. I’m so glad to know you, IRL! Keep up the good work and thanks for being such an inspiration to so many of us!
Love you, ACRS-Bear
Wavy brought me here. You sir are a legend. I'm glad you haven't gotten too bitter about the situation. You have made a legendary internet meme that may very well live beyond all of us
Love your perspective, Jay!
@15:50 Thank you for making Fabulous secret powers. I made funny compilation videos using your video as the basis and my friends laughed so hard it was worth it and it helped me expand on making funny videos of my own. So thank you again for inspiring me!!!
Wavywebsurf’s video got me here. You’ve got a new subscriber.
Wonderful character. You've earned my subscribe. We're all here to spread love and joy. :)
I literally found you like 20 minutes ago, (09:40) you are a legend, and just seeing this type of video is like im meeting a role model.
You are incredible and thanks you so much for this
Love that you made this video. Respect
So glad you made this reaction! I saw wavywebsurf's video yesterday, went straight to your video, "Fabulous Secret Powers", watched and like it. (Love the intro, lol!) Then, I subbed to your channel & set notifications to "all".
Thank you for the kind words and for subscribing 🙏
@@slackcircus You're very welcome, but it's my pleasure. I look forward to seeing more of your content.
I was watching that video I do think you deserve all the credit man
Of all the random and obscure things I could have seen in this video, I was genuinely not expecting to see Amplitude. I remember spending many many hours on that game and no one had any idea what I was talking about when I tried to tell people about it. Very interesting.
you guys are a bunch of legends
Thanks for being part of my creative journey.
It's a pleasure to actually find the absolute boss who made this legendary phenomenon!!
you created my childhood, I have to thank you for that
Well done! The truth will out!
you deserve those 196M views man!
as a graphic design major this is very inspiring
More people should be aware of this!
I actually found your channel via a 11 year old upload of the He-Man video that added the dialog before the song, but credited you as the original source of the song portion.
Just now i realized you make HEEEYYAA music video
The first part of this is my one excuse to be on the iPad late. It actually taught me something
Ngl your video makes me feel inspired you’re whole story I used to make RUclips parodys and I’d voice act in em but after a wile I felt uninspired witch sucks because I actually grew a lot of subscribers and made a parody related to the corona virus because I just felt angry about the corona virus and turned it into creativity I rushed alot of my public parodys alot of them are private rn due to me being embarrassed about how badly they were made and I had the ones that are currently public private and thought about Changing my channel around because I felt like I have been giving RUclips a try for a wile and I wasn’t getting much for my effort witch is why alot of my parodys were written and come up with on the spot all of the gags and everything the artwork wasn’t really the best when I made them but it was fine for the time when I felt uninspired to make parodys I started feeling like those parodys weren’t enough it was only til I revisited them and gave them a watch that memory’s of how hard I worked on them and how I really laughed at some of my own jokes kinda just flashed through my head and at that point I decided to make the animations public again and had planned for a wile on a comeback recently I made a script for an ending for those corona virus parodys but the ending wasn’t rushed I spent at least 4 minutes carefully thinking over the script and even writing what I thought was a good ending for this parody series could I have done better yes wile writing it I had alot of ideas now looking back I could’ve added to this final part I wrote but after I wrote it I felt down again because I felt like I had no one to help out I did consider trying to get my friends to help with some of the voices before this I mostly did it on my own besides when I’d try getting people to help through casting call club a site for casting online vas but I didn’t want to have to wait for me to find the right va and the last time I tried getting a voice acting friend to help out for a fandub everything went wrong and it ended up being unfinished and unreleased but your whole line about patience and how you took your time on your video inspired me to take as much time on this project as I have to do thanks this whole project was made to keep give the view subscribers who stuck around a conclusion for this series not a goodbye but kinda like an ending to a first season I don’t really care about going viral anymore I do wanna make this a job but I feel like now going viral isn’t that important I remember getting lots of comments from my viewers on some of those videos praising my work and I am happy that I was at least able to make some people happy
Great video
Hey I know you got screwed I'm sorry deeply u deserved the views but you made a video that will live forever and that's something to be proud of and thanks from the world
Imagine waking up every morning knowing you're the actual creator og internet history
at this point, the only way to redeem your reputation on creating one of the legendary memes known to mankind is to beat Proto's viewer count and have the algorithm in your favor, and I wish you good luck on that!
Sweet
Thanks dude
You are my hero
the real legend is here guys, the real creator of the internet's legend, you are a legend dude
I feel bad that you didn't get the recognition and respect you deserve for making not just a meme, but a literal phenomenon. I'm hoping that at some point, ProtoOfSnagem's account will be pulled from RUclips and that you get the recognition you deserve.
I don’t think anyone wants the account to be taken down, it’d just be nice if the original creators were credited.
thanks for making me happy
You got my sub!
Love ya dood.
The legend actually opens the video with "Hey, what's going on?".
heeeeeeeeeyyyy
You deserve more views on the fabolous power video.
13:08 *THAT WAS YOU?!?!?*
Best part
you rock man!
i always suspected that you were inspired by the GI Joe videos, and now i know for sure! Fabulous Secret Powers is just a perfect 2000's animation. its great because its not trying to be viral and its just timeless. i never even liked the he-man cartoon very much and i still love the video lol
You deserve milions bro
The return lmao
You guys deserve all the credits, sadly the re-uploaded one has more views than the ones you guys made 14 years ago :(
KING!!
XAZYL from SGT. SLAUGHTER'S SLAUGHTERHOUSE sent me to your channel... and now I can't stop singing "NOW IT'S TIME FOR CAKE!" But will there ever be a full-length video for that song? How else will I excorcise this musical demon???
Welcome! While there are no plans for a full-length NOW IS TIME FOR CAKE, might I recommend listening to “Whip It” by DEVO in its entirety at full volume? It is your best shot at a successful exorcism.😈
I've been playing it for two days straight so far! 😆😂🤣
Also at 14:35 you seem to be in perfect sync with He-Man during the part where he said "he tried".
WavyWebSurf is awesome 😎🌟
I love you sense of humour
The fact that you decided to keep this video up instead of striking it just to keep the history instead of doing it for your profit is great
niceeee
This was a very interesting video.
You reflect a time when the internet for was for sharing info and having fun which seem dead now it’s mostly about clout and money
I left a like on the ProtoOfSnagem ages ago.
After I saw the Wavywebsurf video, I changed that to a dislike, and gave my like to your videos (2 of them).
I loved the cut Proto uploaded, but you made it, so it goes to you.
Good luck in your endeavours!
i found the youtube channel!!! i used to terrorize my ex by blasting the what's up remix in the early morning. might be why she's an ex now lol
I’ve been waiting nearly 2 weeks for an oven to be delivered and installed, my carer called customer service and I shit you not they literally plays this song down the phone and hung up. The situation really stressed me out but I admit I fucking cackled when I heard that blaring out of the speakerphone
Epic
Epic!
Woah I'm beholding a meme God.
Bro i can't belive there's just 38 comments literally you are famous. i think it's all because of that video called "HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA" from a channel that isn't yours that appears first in the list of youtube videos.
At the time, I understand that you said that you 'broke that little corner of the internet', which honestly I totally get.
This is why i always implemented watermark in every art I've worked on. Especially this exact case is the prime example.. name of the creator is a MUST watermarked in every piece of art EDIT: damn that bastard literally cropped or put his own cut to the stolen video now that's even more messed up
I watch this when I’m down and I’m sorry for what happen to you 😢
I'm happy with my career but after listening to this I do kind of resent not putting corn detasseling as my first job in my resume.
I guess protoofsnagem got a money generator
Trying to get the algorithm to pick this up. Original creator should reap the rewards.5
I love this. I hope that guy gets his just deserts.
og creator
People just being not so smart and just RE-UPLOADING for videos and saying they made it if they actually made it there would been a behind the scenes of it >:0 liers
But thank god we got the original back on this channel :D
Cool pc setup
You’re work was amazing anyway
For his defence, makes sence that he wanted to upload that video with just the music part cut out, probably didnt really want to make a ton of views off of it.
And reposts were, and still are, very common in meme culture. In fact, memes LIVE by reuploads and shares.
respect 🐬
I just saw that...
