I get asked all the time what is the best flash. Most of the time, when someone asks "what is the best" it is a hard question and depends on a ton of things but this is pretty easy. After shooting with Nikon and Canon flashes for a few years, I discovered Yongnuo and my life was changed :) There is nothing wrong with Nikon and Canon's NEW radio flashes, they are GREAT but they are VERY expensive. As long as the flash works with radio waves and NOT optically, you are good with Nikon or canon... if you want to spend $500. If you want to spend $70... Yongnuo is the way to go.

You have no idea how this video has help me figure out these flashes!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you! I have been so so frustrated trying to figure out these flashes that I just stopped using them and went back to my Nikon flashes. And the manual does such a poor job explaining. I am so excited to use these this weekend!

Excellent review. Totally agreed. I've had 3 YN manual flashes, (a YN560 IV, a YM560 III and a YN660) for over two years. Never had a problem with any of them. I use a YN560 TX trigger and it works beautifully. Very satisfied with them. Thank you for this vid.

Will it work with Nikon P1000. It has hotshoe?
What is the oprional small transmitter without flash?
Will the same off camera flash work with a transmitter unit from yongnu?

hello, I had the 560IV and the 568exII as a kit, but the latter after years of honorable service since yesterday has decided to always and only shoot at full power! well what to say after 5 years to the whip there is that spring ... waiting to take the 685 I can not explain why with a trigger rf603 on 5dmk3 I can not flash the 560IV without external trigger! should have integrated it and also changing the channels (obviously equal between flash and trigger) nothing does not want to know! am I wrong?

Various models of Yongnuo speedlites have the "stuck at full power" problem. You can use them for some time believing they are fantastic (because in many ways they are), but then after 6 months, 1 or 2 years, they get stuck at full power, turning into unusable devices. This problem is well known by Yongnuo users around the world and you can find info online on how to fix it. It requires to buy a cheap transistor replacement and some soldering skills. I tried to fix one of my YN568exII but fried the board in the process. I had 5 yongnuo speedlites and after 3 years none of them is working. Yongnuo has been selling their speedlites with this problem for years. They know very well about this issue and never cared to fix it. This is the clearest case of planned obsolescence that i know. Don't waste your money. There are better options in the market (also cheap)

I am a real estate photographer. TTL is essential for efficient workflow; therefore, I need what you do not need. Nikon SB-700s have worked well. Cactus flash triggers allow TTL radio control operation.

Hello Guys, I don't know if someone could read this comment of mine but I hope someone could reach me out, I'm a beginner in this photography, I don't know when i started to like photography but as long as i remember when im taking a picture i feel something that i could not explain sometimes i feel bitter and overjoyed at that time i could only take pictures in my android phone until my father buy me a camera, a canon 4000d even though it is not good as other camera, i hope someone could advise me on what kind of gear i must buy in the future so i could avoid from scams and also thank you @Adam Mullins Photography for the effort in making this video it teaches me a lot, hope you could make lot's of it for us beginners. Thanks for the video and have a great blessing to your business.

Hi ! First any camera you have/you use is a good camera :) It's the way how you use it which will determine if your photos will be good or not ! I have a hand on the Canon 4000D for a studio use it's really great !
If you want to improve in photography you need to learn, learn and learn don't buy gear it makes you stupid lol ....
Learn how to set up the light learn your composition, how to use correctly the aperture iso etc.... you need a lot of knowledge in order to be good !
Don't use flash (even external) always use natural light and if you don't have correct exposition, use what you learn about light ! move yourself move the subject, use higher iso etc...
Don't let anyone degrade yourself or even you because you're using a APS-C it's really a good form factor camera and it's really light to travel with !
If you have anything to ask or want to discut add me on facebook ROG Chris (a black guy always on Black and white photos)

You totally missed the point. Nikon flashes talk to the camera. So do Yongnui's, if you avoid the manual only model.
