- Music is all written by Metallica. This song was covered to sound like it came from the Justice album by GuitarRazze you can check his other Justice version covers at his channel / guitarrazze
Instruments you hear in this video are his. I just put together this video using the DVD (Live Shit: Binge & Purge). I used various songs they played at the Seattle Center Coliseum in August 29, 1989 from the DVD. Edited, synced, and subbed all by me. Vocals are covered by Lex Boismenu. / bouelf

"Moth into Flame" is a song by heavy metal band Metallica and the second single from their tenth studio album, Hardwired... to Self-Destruct. The song debuted during the band's appearance on The Howard Stern Show on September 26, 2016, with the official music video being uploaded to the band's official RUclips page hours later. The song made its live debut at Webster Hall on September 27, 2016, the 30th anniversary of former bassist Cliff Burton's death.
The song was used as the official theme song for American television company TBS's ELEAGUE, for both the second season of the program and the ELEAGUE Counter-Strike Major. Metallica performed the song with Lady Gaga at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on February 12, 2017

Valdes Gaming thanks bro. This shit is awesome! \m/
Valdes Gaming this REALLY GOOD DUDE!!!
Valdes Gaming do it with spit out the bone plz!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we get more like this??? This fucking rocks
Más falso que otra cosa
James: you got the justice album right
Crowd: Yeah
James: Plays a song on an album that wont be released for another 27 years
"Guess you're not ready for this yet, but your kids are gonna love it"
@@chuckleshelicopterwigwamjo7315 Back to the Furuture theme intensifies
@@eseguerito2629 and then Amy listens to this song it saves her.
Trujillo looks so different in this -.-
It's JASON NEWSTED
Ha! That made me chuckle.
He was clearly making a joke.
Yeah he's white now
That's what age does to you
So basically one guy made an instrumental in AJFA style, another one added vocals to this, and then you created a '89 music video out of it. Holy shit that's the best chain reaction i've ever seen.
mindfuckingblown
@@TonyJuanPailos no doubt. I have this concert DVD, but this fits perfectly. Well f (k!n done.
I'm amazed that the vocalist was able to capture not just the voice of Hetfield, but of 1989 Hetfield.
i come from the future (2023), and i say today we can add the AJFA vocal tone. Thanks to artificial intelligence.
I hope James see this video and hear how fucking great sounds this song with his old voice
JULIO SEGURA thanks man. I'm working on Spit out the bone. should be on my channel in a few days. check it out.
Lex Boismenu I think will be awesome too.
He didn’t just change for change of style, he literally can’t sing like he used to.
Aero Bolt I think he said somewhere he still can, but he fears ruining his voice again
@@Zodasg when did he say that?? I would really like to look at your source, sounds interesting.
Lar's drum parts actually matched up perfectly with this video because he's been playing the same damn beat for 30 years.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
hahahahaha!!!! Savage bro!!!!! \m/
Regurgitated mediocre thrash. Metallica could have been so much with out Lars.
same goes with kirk's wah pedal leg xD hahaha xD
michael kelley
Metallica never would have existed without Lars.
If this song would be on AJFA I bet today would have been a classic...
Its melodic and drives hard as fuck.
Adrián Monge , justice is a classic!!
true that my man, IT JUST... FUCKS YOU! pre chorus part.....
and most of their DM and Hardwired stuff have this potential. But compression and shitty audio engineers (or maybe Lars) ruined their sound.
DM had some of the best riffs from the band I heard since AJFA and yet they managed to completely ruin it...
Adrián Monge Exactly how I feel too! It's a shame that this whole album doesn't get the recogition it deserves.
Dudes from Metallica has to see this!
It’s fake dude
The Heel Synergy yeah! It’s really well made!!!
But then they will see what they lost when they kicked Jason out
*Goes into the kitchen to get a drink* "I wonder what Hardwired would sound like at live shit" *Comes back* "Oh,hey"
obviously is not James that he sings
but man.......man.....I'm stoned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm already secuced by fame!
More like HIGHsen berg amirite? Eh? EH?
Honestly, it's almost uncanny, like I didn't realized a change in the voice when they went into the song.
Thanks. Vocals are me.
totally fake

Further proves my theory, its not the music that sucks, its the over-production! This could've easily been a track off of Master or Justice.
I agree with you, still I think that even the original version is good
Yeah but then new album still has some decent production
Their new album should be "Kill em Master of Justice".
Anyone else read it as “Master of Justice” xD
One word: BRILLIANT! You attention to detail was nothing short of extraordinary! It actually looked as if James was singing Moth; you got Lars drum accents like a pro, and Jason's banging just made me want to get up and mosh (and I am disabled!). Seriously, this was done with such precision and care - it even beats out a lot of televised 'Tallica concerts! Pat yourself of the back...this KILLED!
Thanks man, it takes a drummer and a huge fan of James to get it perfect. After all, I've watched this concert since i was 5 years old
jaynumber37 dude Seattle '89 is the fuckin bomb. Well anything on Live Shit: Binge and Purge kicks ass. Seattle '89, San Diego '92, and Mexico City '93
Best Kirk solo in years lol
BucsFan1976 ya, like about 28 years.
dale jr as Black Album had great solos, as did Load.
except kirk didnt do anything with black
Körmendy Mátyás Didn't do anything with Black? What are you saying? If you're implying Kirk didn't write any solos on Black Album, you're mistakenly wrong. Not only did he create his Solos, he is credited for riffs as well, such as creating the Enter Sandman riff.
Much of it is just Disposable Heroes regurgitated
We've done the same video haha nice job too.
Thanks Nico. We actually watch your videos. Yours inspired us to make this one. We're hoping to use yours for Spit out the bone
jaynumber37 Cool. So you want to edit my cover with this footage? That's cool if you give me credits and link to my channel.
yeah sure thing, and thanks man. Please do atlas rise to GuitarRazze's justice version. Your covers are awesome .
jaynumber37 I second this!
Nico Borie Buena nico sabía que te iba a pillar por acá jaja Tus videos están filete sube más :(
5:26 Makes me get goosebumps everytime. "Death Scene. Black Hearse, the Limousine." This is one of metallicas best songs.
The song sounds better when you imagine it coming from the Justice era…
The voice is different
That was definitely one of the better hetfield impressions I have heard. Especially for the 80s. Very well done.
oh my god!!! do spit out the bone with this vocals live in seattle
Paccoxxx working on it. should be on my channel in a few days
Metallica needs to hire whoever produced the music for this... I prefer this tone to their last few albums
Conor Dempsey that's GuitarRazze
Yea this tone is way better
I dont think they've used tube amps in a while.
5:27
That slight pause is godlike!
That's absolutely incredible work man ! I am very impressed. Definitely will subscribe. Can you do more songs in Seattle89 style ? Thanks a lot for this masterpiece.
GuitarRazze did all the work here. Check his channel out. This guy did a nice job with the vocal but it's all about the sound of the guitar and GuitarRazze did a bunch of songs with the Justice sound.
I added these vocals to this GuitarRazze's instrumental tracks.
Lex Boismenu so do more?
Like Spit out the Bone! 🤘🤘
Masterfully done. Even the palm mute harmonics, the drums, everything sounds exactly like 89' Metallica. Impressive.
*listens to Moth into Flame*
Me: ew
*listens to Moth into Flame 89*
Me: Perfect
Why ew? The song's fuckin good.
Man how did the old young James vocals came from? Not even James Hetfield of present can sing that he had in the past with that power and intensity...I mean how?
nope not this one
Salswkang Jamatia he would sound like he did back then if he still did multiple vocal tracks and used a touch of reverb.
Salswkang Jamatia It takes practice. Alot of holding your breath while vocalizing, not breathing out your nose, with grit in your throat, and practice. I've sung like this for years. It's funny how James even helped my range when S&M came out, because I'd sing that entire concert over and over. Learned out to sing higher notes better while keeping my grit. Love this band.
James had little "grit" in the S&M days man... What are you talking about... He probably sang the cleanest in his entire career in that point. - I should know, I've listened to it a million times over as well.
nope. vocals are all me.
if the song sounded like this on the album, it would be untouchable. it shows the potential is there, it didn't take much to make it Justice like. As much as I dig the new album, it could have been on a new level if they would have tweaked it more like this.....
Of confidenceeeee and poweerrrrrrr(forgive me if you don't get the reference dude)
heythereFuckyou haha pantera jokes
Fuck yeah bro !
Unfortunately James just doesn't dig that heavier tone anymore... not since Load.
@@antoniusmetal even Load and Reload had a much thicker tone than the last two albums. It's really a shame. I mean, even if you don't want to sound to old school, then at least get it done like Exodus, Kreator or Testament....no classic sound anymore, but at least a thick crushing Guitar sound...
Holy shit! You absolutely nailed the Justice sound! Nice work!
Bro this is one of the best mixes I have seen its so good
Vocals amazed me the most. Did not expected to be this good, Great job, Sir.
so much better than the original
Dude this is AMAZING!!! SO COOL!
This is probably the best thing on the internet right now.
Chainsaw Reacts would get a kick out of this
please send to chainsaw reacts. We're trying to get him to react to this one. Spread the word out
Antonio Rodriguez GUYS SKIP THIS INTRO AND LET'S GET INTO THE MEGERDETH BITS
dont know why it sounds great he has an issue that its not James vocal but this is how it would sound in the Justice era i think this FUCKIN ROCKS
Fuck those react cringe-worthy videos and anyone who support them
send the video of deez nuts to chainsaw reacts
Holy shit, I didn't expect it to be good for whatever reason, but man this is waaaaaay better than the original version. Man I'm just in love with this tone, this live, the rage, Jame's voice, and this Era...
that means tone and mixing is done for casual audiences nowadays which means that you can't expect good music originally only with remasters
That awkward moment when someone reminds Metallica how they used to do it...
I consider myself an big Metallica fan but you my friend are a next level Metallica fan. Very nice editing must have taken you a lot of work. Realy cool video.
Soooo better than the actual version!!! Thanks man!
Those vocals are spot on man!! Much more listenable too imo!!
It's a great song. So weird to consider how popular this song would have been if released back then. Or would people have said "wtf is this??" I don't think so! They just don't sound like they used to. Not their fault.
GovSchnitzel Not Kirk's fault. If anything its Lars, and somewhat James. Despite the fact that Lars is a good arranger and a great business man, he's pretty mediocre drummer who forgot how to use double bass and can barley keep up in 4/4 time and holds the band back musically. As for James, although he's still a badass guitar player, he can still sing like he did back in the day if not heavier with his voice if he wanted to (he does it in recent performances, but for some reason he just doesn't (it's as though he's afraid to sound heavy for some reason I don't know). Either way, I still like Metallica and the fact that they're still making music in general \m/
David Catanus well if we're gonna get into it, I would say that James's voice changing is the biggest detriment to their sound over time. There's just no comparison between what he sounds like now vs. his voice in the 80's. Not his "fault", he just can't do it anymore. Not sure why you believe he can. I have issues with his modern guitar tone too...somewhere along the way the harshness was removed, maybe to accommodate his voice.
GovSchnitzel look at bobby blitz, chuck Billy, zetro, Mille petrozza, Mark ossegueda, etc. and compare their voices of today to how they were in the 80s. Sure they don't sound exactly the same as they did back then due to age and that's the biggest detriment to their sound over the years like you said, but they can still pull it off. If they can do it, anyone can do it. I've heard James try doing it again in recent performances and he still has it, but he just hasn't practiced doing it for a while from the way he sounded, so overall, age isn't really an excuse. Oh ad I too can't stand their guitar tone these days. They need to turn down the mids and crank up the gain to get rid of that crappy sound
David Catanus voices changing isn't purely due to age...it's just something that happens, and it happens differently to different singers, simple as that. There are many factors here; some singers sing in such a way that their voices are more protected. Some experience change from different medical problems. James Hetfield blew out his voice in 1993 while singing "So What?" at a show, and had to go through all this therapy to do any singing at all again. That event is probably what made the biggest impact.
I've listened to Metallica for 20 years. This is amazing. Great usage of the intro to Harvester and the vocals are legit.
4:30
*Disposable Heroes joins the chat.*
Man, you've put and arranged the disposable heroes's solo to suit the harmony of the song? Pure craft!
sounds more like if Jason were singing LOL great video
or like a combination of both
Hargonaut yea I was thinking that :)
You mean like Creeping Death in Mexico City '93? Cause that shit kicked ass
Man! You've improved upon your concept so much! This is miles further than your first videos. Amazing! Guitar tones, drum sounds, VOCALS, everything absolutely on point. Even the video editing. I don't know why, but I enjoyed this more than anything. Thanks for doing it! It totally sounds like a Metallica song from the 80's, which is a thrill!
Cheers
really appreciate it bro! Thanks for the love.
Jesus's Christ man. Top work! Amazing work on the vocals.... Uncanny resemblance
Disposable Heroes solo fit perfectly xd.
So I expected some lameness here, but man, what a treat! Wow! Nicely done!!!!
Dang! The vocals give me goosebumps.
Everything sounds awesome! 👍🤟
Thanks for your comment. I'm the vocals and have other covers on my channel you'll certainly like.
I just uploaded a new Metallica cover on my channel. Please check it out.
I hated this song until I heard this version. Good Job
Really good vocals !!!!!
Digging the solo that's made from bits of Kirk's other solos.
This makes the original sound like limp bizkit's cover.
Qoini Official thanks. check my other cover spit out the bone ony channel.
20 years back... listening to this and lifting
James voice helped the last rep
Great job!
Gotta love how not only the mix matches the Justice album here, but there are little Justice drum fills here and there.
Damn..... that was just like a real one... I bet that who doesn't know Metallica well wouldn't recognize that the song released on 2016
Motherfucking BRILLIANT. You made my day dude.
this is when Metallica ruled and i struggle to listen to anything past this era and this concert
Methodology what about San Diego 92
this is fantastic dude great job
One covers the instrumental parts, another one adds the vocals and yet another one puts the live sounds and the video with subtitles... The internet's amazing, it's the only place where such teamwork is possible between people who don't even know each other... Great work from everybody, you should really get in touch with one another and try more stuff together kkkkkkkk
Thanks. Its exactly how I feel now. That's why I added my vocals to GuitarRazze's instrumental track and was astonished to see that a live version was without my knowledge. It was a surprise. :)
The audio was taken from the "If Moth Into Flame was on ...And Justice For All" video from GuitarRazze user, i suposse the vocals were recorded from the same user who made this video
Spoodermen Produktionz no this aren't his vocals. He even commented on this video and gave us props. He has one similar though . And his video inspired this one
jaynumber37 oh ok sorry
This is absolutely amazing. It totally made me rethink this new album.
Fukking epic. I appreciate the effort to make the drums sound like the Justice album as well.
Their music was better when James was angry.
wantsome480 well for this song I had to be as angry as him in order to sound like him. Thanks for liking.
One thing is for sure, the song would have been a hell of a lot better if Jason were on bass and singing backup.
donangry i dont hate rob but jason was a perfect fit for metallica after cliff of course
donangry I have never liked jason, and I don't understand why people says he fits so well with metallica, he doesn't sucks but he's on a lower level than metallica
Jason is good and I love his backup singing and energy but Rob is a lot better than Jason as their bassist...
Not really, they need what Jason brought to the band. Jason is capable of playing anything Rob has ever played or put onto a record, especially in Metallica. Rob isn't better in any way.
Well that's your opinion so I'd say let's just agree to disagree.. \m/ \m/
I hope Metallica hear of this whole channel. Amazing work.
Wow the vocals are good and even at certain parts James looks like he is actually singing the lyrics form moth. And at some parts it looks like how the song sounds. Well FUCKING Done mate
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This is time travel.
this is the only version of this song i'll listen to.
I keep coming back to listen to this over and over...
Andy Oliphant come a listen to my other covers on my channel. They are studio versions. Valdes gaming just added the crowd cheers to my mix
you did a piece of art dude! i enjoyed it a lot!!
the voooiceeeee woooow
fuck, whoever covered the vocals did an amazing job
Man I love the f out of this work. I really wish we could have the reaction of tallica's guys of this
WOW THIS IS INSANE!!!LOOKS ALMOST PERFECTLY REALY AND VOCALS ARE PERFECTLY YOUNG JAMES ! WOW
metallica must watch this!!
HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THIS!? This is surreal!
This is a thing that i was talking about for many many years. You have proved with this video that nothing changed at all as for metal music. If current metal songs were recorded with old fashion, tune and all these stuff there would be no difference between old and new albums. So that's why i still love modern albums of old bands. Greetings from Poland!
Dude, that worked amazingly. That song rips like this!!!
Remember when the audiences were as into the gig as the band? Look at their latest shows and compare this...
Means Metallica would have to get into it
where is lady Gaga? where?
This is fucking justice.
I guess she wasn't born in 1988/89
Artan McManus 🤟
The "High again!" And the "flame" in "A moth into the flame!" Are perfect
Thanks! Check out my other stuff on my own channel!
Who creates this video is a motherfukkin' genius!!! Perfect scenes choises and amazing production!!! :D
they should relese the best songs with this production :D i love this metallica era!
3:34 just wow
Wow the Metallica's background videos in 1986 are sung the 2016's newest and new album of Metallica's moth into flame
HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT!
That was an absolutly blast. The Scene-cutting, the sound. Everything. Great Great Work, dude!
back again! need to rip this shit! man I can't stop having eargasms from this!
goosebumps all over man damn
Holyyy fuck it's *PURE JUSTICE* - unbelievable how it sounds.
Awesome! Sounds a thousand times better than the original. Excelent, brought the old Metallica Back!
Haha, this is just fucking amazing. Great job dude! i wonder how Hardwired would look like in this, like a Battery kinda performance..
I would enjoyed more like this than nowadays, and it's not about the lyric and music, the version of ajfa or the real one, sounded so kickass, I think that the energy that Metallica putted on stage was so unique, the voice of James, Kirk running all along the stage and Lars playing at his best are the reasons that made everyone respect their jobs at that days
Lex sounds damn near like James in '89.
You guys are badass man.
Roger Reynolds thanks
I just RUINED my neck! This is beyond perfection!
This should've been how moth into flame sounded.
4:10 it’d be great if Jason Newsted had taken this part.
Who ever did these vocals did a GREAT James impression.
Brandon Hartman thanks. You can check out my other covers on my channel. More metallica, Pantera, soundgarden and more.
This version is so much better than the original! It's crazy how different production makes such a difference what feeling you get when you hear it. Of course, most important is the voice that sounds like Jamez finally got his balls again.;) Respect!
This is amazing. Done so well.. congrats mate! please.... do SPIT OUT THE BONE!!
TheRealMrWilson spit out the bone should be on my channel in a few days.
Who's the fuck is singing ???!!! It's awsome😄😄😄
Mohamed Tetouani Nico Borie, is a chilean singer and he upload videos
the vocal cover is done by Lex Boismenu :)
THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!! YOU ARE AWESOME FOR THIS!
I actually thought this was Lex & co. because I recognized his voice, nice job syncing up the video too!
Dan it is me!
Yeah, I knew that, I just couldn't put the sentence together correctly because I smoked a little weed on the way home, & I hadn't smoked in ages :p Nice work, you guys are friggin' awesome!
