Cheers Phillip, really appreciate that my friend 😁 You have an A1 with the 200mph clocks.. Kawasaki should have kept it for their later models, as it looks incredible to see those numbers!😄 Enjoy your mighty 12R, they’re such awesome bikes.. Ride safe 😎👍🏼
Great bike you have there, i have a 2007 12r in dark blue and gold with 5600 mls on it , again its in the same condition as yours so i feel lucky to have found it when i did. There’s plenty out there but not in that condition and mileage its good you have the original exhaust. I too have a garage Full of 90’s bikes, blackbird, cbr 1000f, zx9r, bmw r1100s, great era for motorcycles, happy polishing my friend,
@@phillipjones1817 Thank you Phillip, much appreciated my friend.. I love the dark blue/gold 12R, that was my other favourite paint scheme, and yours is very low mileage as well 😁👌🏼Great bikes! It’s great to hear from like minded collectors of 90s era bikes.. Ride safe, and happy polishing too my friend 😎👍🏼
I always loved the ZX12R and wanted the black/gold one but my dealer wouldn’t order one for me due to having old stock ones laying around… Ended up with the all black Busa, owned her for 14 yrs… Now have an H2👌🏽
So the dealer lost out on your business..crazy 🤦♂️The black/gold one does look awesome! An H2 is quite the bike! Would love to own or try one..ballistic! Enjoy mate.. appreciate the comment 😁👍

Thank you sir, yours is a beauty too.. & you know how great these bikes still are, even today! The last of the truly analogue hyper bikes! Appreciate the comment my friend, ride safe on that 12R of yours 😎👍🏼
Lovely bikes you have there. What’s more fun to ride, the 12 or the 750? I’ve got a zzr1100. Not as sharp as these but there’s something about it. Blisteringly quick. I think I’d have your 750, if I could. The old school look is so cool.
The 12R is a missile compared to the ZXR750, and I love riding it.. You’d know with your 1100 how quick these bikes can go! But the 750 means more to me and riding that feels more of an occasion. I had one way back in ‘93 so riding one today brings back the memories… & tbh, it’s still plenty fast enough 😁 Cheers for the comments mate 😎🤙🏽

Important question: have you had the rectifier/regulator work done? If you haven’t, oil will seep up your wiring via capillary action and wreck your coils/regulator/rectifier. Unbelievably the stock Kawasaki fix is a squirt of superglue. I thought my B model had escaped this gremlin, but it caught up with me on a European tour, completely immobilising the bike….. quite an expensive fix, too, with zero recourse from Kawasaki when it is an admitted, known fault.
@@tenbear5 I haven’t, but have read about this previously.. Does this affect every bike? I have had a look at the wiring and reg/rec when I took all the fairings off.. Sounds about right, Kawasaki ignoring the issue.. I appreciate the heads up again as it was something I read a while back. I’ll look out for it. Cheers my friend, ride safe on your 12R 👍🏼
@@woooster17 yes, i think it does. Because i had the later B model i thought i’d escaped, but it will catch up with you. I had to replace all the HT leads too (upgraded). Bike has now done 26k miles and always starts from cold off the button. (i don’t have a working choke cable - just never got around to replacing it & thought it unnecessary on an FI equipped machine). The only other problem i has, & it was another electrical issue, was the cam position sensor. On this occasion, on another tour, bike worked fine but the following morning it was completely unresponsive. Barcelona Kawasaki couldn’t fix it, and because i had nonstandard parts fitted: a PCR, K&Ns, Akrapovic… they did, infact, refuse to work on it. AA rescued it & returned it to the dealership where it sat for a few months. The irony was this sensor costs peanuts & is accessible through the fairing without removing anything.
