Very good video. Very informative for myself as I’m getting into the heavy haul side of trucking. I have friends that do heavy haul been trying to get me to move over and I’m making the jump.
Say brother, I'm out of Phoenix, Az. I have a 2004 Peterbilt 379 c15 , 13 spd. I been trying to get into pulling Double drop /Low-boy, RGN. Your right about everyone trying to get into this and nobody wants to share info. So I'm thinking of just running STEP-DECK or 48' FLAT-BED like I been doing. Thanks for your input on your videos here brother
Amazing 🤠🤠 I have always loved to understand the numbers in heavy haul. Thank you for explaining it with such simplicity. I have been trucking since 1996 . I haul House Hold Goods for Atlas Van Lines. A lot of people ask how much we make per mile, however there is no correct answer to that question. Personally I gross $850K and I average 60k miles annually. So for my setup and load preferences I average $14 per mile. In house hold goods, the shorter miles pays more than the longer miles, however you handle more tonnage, which means that you are running short haul line hauls loading today and unloading the next day. I prefer to load Mon, Tue Wednesday then drive 3000 miles cross country and unload 5 days later , then rinse and repeat. This is better for me personally. Other drivers have no problem with loading all day, driving all night and unloading the next day. I leave that to the young bucks who want to make $20 per mile. Anyways, all the best. Be safe out there. Peace ✌️
Damn bro I wish I would’ve known you at the flying J. I would’ve stopped by. I delivered there the other night. Sorry about your bumper. Same thing happened to me last month but a little worse.
This is what I am being told about your lane…. I actually have the Proper Rig…. One Guy told me that having to wait for permits, even goin thru local municipalities can be frustrating having to wait a day or so? I pull a Rock Box, I’m home every night and I can make $5 to $6 dollars a week…. In my mind, I’m thinking Heavy Haul makes $200 an hour ( Locally ) or you guy have 20K Loads…. ( 5/6 Days ) You tell me??
? I know this might sound strange, if by chance u stuck in a state that has no loads going out but step deck or flatbed loads such as pipes, insulation or wave riders is it possible to take it 🤦♂️
I really wish, yall would get more experience. Before making theses videos. because I bet once u realize 7 axle isn’t heavy haul., then realize 13 axles aight got nuthin on a highway max 3 faymaville.. keep learning lil brudda 🫡💪🏾

Dont like runs with escorts just manageable oversize loads like firetrucks. Also love the mini tray trailers 👍
Brother can you make a video of the place where you got your truck from
Tim at gentry and sons trucking said he will make someone a deal on some new grade 100 chains and binders.
They're 1/2 in.
Been a minute bro good to see you still doing that deal

I don’t know why yall don’t install full fenders. Back of your sleepers are getting destroyed.
Hey kiren isn’t that 48 ft the one you use to pull with your fld?
Yep that was my first trailer
@@kirenmorris606 thought it was I remember we talked at the Baltimore TA
Love the channel just need more action less talking lol
Lol I got you
I don’t think a person should move to heavy hauling that haven’t pulled a step deck
I went straight to heavy no step deck or flatbed, taught myself this, hella RUclips videos & talking to old school truckers

7 axle isn’t really heavy haul my guy.
@themikel129 😂😂😂 not the heaviest, but still heavy haul
@@kirenmorris606 it still falls into oversize. Heavy haul starts at multi axle setups.
