For those who may have noticed the frequent large wood structures along various sections of the highway, those are Wyoming's version of Snow Fences. The volume of snow those areas can generate simply by causing the wind driven snow to blow over those structures, dumping the snow into huge piles so it then stays further away from the highway.
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Very beautiful scenery thanks for sharing stay safe Steve.
Just came back from a trip from socal through Utah and that corner of Idaho to Yellowstone back home to WI it was some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. Never been out that way before and I want to go back!
when i use to truck back in 70-s 80-s when i pasted these houses and cabins i always wounder who lived there what their life was like and why did they leave. who was last to live there, guess i will never know. nothing like the west
Freezing fog went through that on my motor bike on the way to work, had to get a mate to put it on it's stand turn it off. Could hardly move my fingers. I was working on a ferry to windy to go along the cliff road. Went in land route then hit the fog. Still ride all year heated grips great.
Question from a long time German fan, who is not a trucker: I know in the whole of Europe, you need a special drivers card, that monitors every driving activiy you do and all the breaks you make electronically. If you punch out for a break and the vehicle moves half a turn on any tyre, your break time is interrupted. If you´re driving too long , it will be noted on that card and any future police control will lead to a fine. Do you have anything similar in the US? Besides that: Thank you Steve for taking us along. I used to live in the US and it is always nice to see the landscape passing by..it feels like being back again-thx for that. BR Tobias
If anyone even looks at you funny and you get that feeling like something isnt right than you let me know because that is what I do. I am 355lbs and 6'3" .. well you get the picture . It really is a party for me to deal with the scumbags that are hurting our truckers. Stay safe my friend.. Clint.
Sometimes I miss driving over tge road just to see the country but can't do it any more thanks Steve for taking us along with you drive safe my friend.❤
Hopefully Steve was able to get east of the Rocky Mountains ahead of the storms that passed through SoCal just this past Sunday and Monday. The L.A. media outlets pain the rainfall picture (amount) to have been in excess of 40 days in the span of 36 hours....
Nice landscape you driving true, as well as nice weather. As we have at my place in Norway at the moment, but its cold. Minus 12 degrees celsius this morning. Better than we have it a little week ago, when we go true 3 hurricans in little over a week. The wind peaked out between 45 and 52 knots, and the roads was covered with rain water and slurry snow.
Around Pinedale is beautiful, cruising up to Pinedale and on the right side in the distance is the mountain range,I think that mountain range is the river mountain range, north out of Pinedale getting into the pretty pines up to hougback and us 26 is beautiful on into Idaho. Thank you for sharing this video brought back memories of my favorite place in America. North Central, northwestern Wyoming is my favorite place, the scenery and the good people that I have met in my neighboring State is been good.
I've had some adventures with freezing fog. When it freezes on the road and coats everything with a sheet of ice. Once the road was shut down and from the crown/ curvature of the road a few of us just s-l-o-w-l-y slid onto the shoulder with parking brakes on and wheels pointing straight. Lol! Took a while for the sun to come out and help us out.
Hi Steve what beautiful country you’re driving through in Wyoming small town are awesome yes young gentleman right clouds are you’re in god country and always you be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just stopped at the wamsutter stop last day or 2. Had a trailer tire blow out near reno. Destroyed the mudflap bracket and it dug into the tire next to it. All in all had to have 5 new tires put on in 2 days time. Inspection I find 2 other tires that were showing belts. One was dot illegal the tire shop guy found spots. When I got to wamsutter, eastbound was closed due to ice. I left about 2 hours later. Made it to burns WY called it a night.
I was fortunate to have visited the west back in the 90's. Saw many places but the Grand Tetons was one of my most memorable experiences. Came from the backside, from Idaho on 33/22. (Teton Pass I think) Oh no, back to Grey... 😒
Igloo soft coolers with ice inside will keep food and vegetables chilled for a day or 2. Getting some altitude when you start driving in the clouds. Fog is a cloud at your level. Saturated air cooled to the dew point, forms fog. Stay safe my friend.
I am a retired class A driver looking to drive I can only work farm or state in Iowa. My pension won’t allow me to drive without stopping it. But farming maybe!
Steve when you get to Flagstaff,Arizona stop bye and visit with Murphy's Diesel there there a big Utuber channel they just started last year and already have 50K subscribers Tim Gentry broke down there last year and Murphy's Diesel helped him on how to run his utude channel I watch them all the time they seem like great people also might get to see there knew big 75ton wrecker they bought last year. Good luck
God's Country coupled with the mellow drone of the twin stacks. Now that's therapeutic. Just doesn't get any better than that. The trailer has DEFINITELY seen better days. With higher elevations and colder temperatures did you have to change your oil? Is Orwell governed or limited in any way? What is your top speed and hp?
After you did that pilot run for Gentry you mentioned thinking about running a pilot service. I'm retired and would love to look into that if you do. How can I send you my info?
Hey Steve ,Les here screwed your email lol i hate computers but hey figuring out this messenger and will keep workin on it .Till then keep the shiny side up
Steve you ought to be careful eating alot of eggs they are alot of cholesterol in them which is bad for your body, I used to eat alot of eggs but was told to stop by my medical doctor, now I have to take medications just because of high levels of cholesterol in my system, please look into it, also it will give your body more strength & stop you feeling tired alot ok my friend, only looking out for your health my friend Steve, don't want you getting poorly , love your program just like the gentry brothers programs to.

Steve, Wyoming IS the middle of nowhere !!! Ive here since '79, by the way, you haven't lived till you drive 50 or 60 miles in a Wyoming white out !!!
Love the views from the truck. Thank you Steve for sharing
One down, four to go! Stay safe out there.
That’s what you call God’s country when you get to drive thru the clouds. Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.
Gods not real
It's ok to go in the ditch rubber side down?
First time hearing keep the rubber side down. I usually hear “Keep the bugs off your glass and the bears off your tail”. CW McCall

The old trailer needs a date with the welder and some plates soon. They always rust out in the same places.
Yup. That sheet metal is getting thin...
It literally is just sheet metal.

It was probably there long before the interstate was built.

Maybe if you get a mechanic, he can paint that wheel on your tractor and make it look nicer.
Pay attention. There's new wheels purchased.
Steve Please get an old cheap long hood truck like 359 or something and create a fantastic series of content from the build.
